Same here.

I'm really enjoying epidemiology so far, it reminds me a lot of stats. I'm actually disappointed that we only have that class two days a week. 😛 Immuno is not so fun, but I'm hoping it will get better. Mainly we have a new professor, so he's still working out the kinks with the way the class is structured.

I love that we have two semesters of it. One of the strong suits for sure.

Yup, this is us as well. Last semester we had two week testing cycles and had a two week break in between them. Not so much this semester. Spring break and the week after spring break are the only weeks starting next that we don't have tests.

Two or three weeks we only have a test on a Friday so we have a few easier weekends, but our testing schedule is way less lax this semester.

Maybe it will force me to keep on top of things and less cramming :laugh:

It's painful. We have 1-2 tests a week plus assignments, SIMS to prepare for, some quizzes, etc. I've been told by multiple sources that spring quarter for our school is heaven compared to winter quarter so I've been counting down the days. Only about a month left!
 
We actually have fewer exams this semester than last. Never more than one a week, our first exam isn't until February 3rd (we started back the 17th), and we don't have an exam the week before spring break or the week before finals. We do have a lot more quizzes this semester, but it's weird. I've heard second year is painful, though.

I've heard that, too. A third year here told me they lost a lot of people second year. Particularly 2nd year winter quarter for us is the worst, so I'm trying not to complain too much right now.
 
Tangent: I love this watch and really want it.

My birthday was 3 weeks ago. So I'm going to wait for my money decision to come in on Monday and if everything is okee dokee, might use Christmas/birthday money to get me a fancy watch.

Do you all have a directory of all the past graduating classes? I love looking at the early classes of ours and thinking if that nerd did it, you can bet I can do it. lol
 
Another tangent: my class made it till January without a debate of why PETA is good or bad. It's going downhill quickly during this imaging lecture.

Fun professor? From what I heard, 12 second years failed parasit last year, the most of any class, and it's only 2 credits. We picked up a few people in our class and I'm unsure how many remediated or flat failed out because of it. Most of the classes so far have been fairly monotone "Here's this mite. Here's what it does, here's its life cycle, here's what it transmits." And then the other 30 minutes is people asking hypothetical questions like "Well, since it likes to feed on deer, let's say this mythical creature like a deer comes along and touches his deer friend for 5 seconds in cold temperature. It could survive, yes?"

You don't love twenty minute long drawn out dumb hypothetical questions that will never happen?

Although, frankly, the c/o 2020 is pretty good at asking tons of those questions. But I may just have an incredibly low tolerance for hypotheticals and this class is just average.

I started doing laundry today only because my roommate brought friends over.

Now I'm telling myself I have to make sure the laundry washes okay before I can actually watch all of the nutrition lectures I've been putting off

I'm not. I can only take 4 credits of vet classes a semester during my master's year and there's only certain ones I can take. I'm in nutrition and a food animal/food safety class right now.

Also do you know the exact name of the class? I think that one might be an elective, though it's on my list to take if it's the one I'm thinking of.

I'm not sure! It's called Reverence for Life here but I think the CSU people might call it something else? It might only be for honors undergrads now right there. I know they're working on making it a larger class here and there in the vet school and expanding it to another school too (can't remember which) next year.

Hypotheticals aren't really a thing for us. We have one person who would ask questions where she answered it herself in the question and would say, "Is that right?" or something to the effect. I wouldn't care if she really wasn't sure, but she straight up said that she does it to impress the professors. This is also the girl who e-mailed one professor to say the test questions were too easy.
