It really isn't different than any other test you've taken. Don't waste your brain power on ones you have no clue on, and use your strengths to make up ground. hahaThanks lupes
20 more days![]()
That's so specificOh, and you can't even have chapstick with you, so take a break if you are a lip licker too to rehydrate your poor lips in the dry season for those in cold, dry weather. lol
I got very irritated when they said you can't even take that in with you. I mean, really? This world sometimes is too much. lolThat's so specific

All the best wishes for NAVLE for those starting Monday on! remember to take your breaks. I mean, I of course forged on and took one, but regret the massive headache I had after. haha
We are here for you if you need any encouragement either via forum or PM!
From those who have dun finished. <3
Progress is progress though! This helped a lot today to just know someone is thinking about us poor NAVLE-writers haha. I write on Wednesday and am freaking outa lota little right now. Partially because this past week I was on an insane rotation and got maybe 25 Vetprep questions done every night![]()
I’m the kind of person that has to have chapstick with me everywhere, so this is a good tip in my mindThat's so specific

That's probably more than I got done even though I was on a relatively light rotation. I'm sure you'll do great! Just being on rotations and seeing cases is studying, and more effective than vetprep imo. This helped a lot today to just know someone is thinking about us poor NAVLE-writers haha. Just finished my NAVLE. So glad to be done with that!
Any last minute advice? Hahaha
Congrats on being done!
You've got this SAR! I have zero doubts that you're going to rock the hell out of it!!!My NAVLE is in less than 24 hours
I am currently alternating between freaking the **** out, being eerily chill, and wondering why I didn't study more but it's too late now
Were the questions similar to the ICVA assessments (such as how they word the questions and what they actually ask)? I've taken two assessments within the past 3 weeks, both said I will pass. I've noticed that majority of the questions for the ICVA assessments do not ask "what is the diagnosis" but will ask the treatment, diagnostics, etc. and you just have to know what the disease is based on what is described in the question.I won’t comment on content, but I’ll reiterate that taking breaks was essential. I took 2 and probably should’ve taken even more. Also, you won’t know everything so don’t let a string of questions that you feel like you’re completely guessing on put you in a panic. Finally, I found taking an ICVA assessment helpful, but not sure it’s absolutely necessary if you can’t swing the money.
Best of luck!!’ You’ve got this!My NAVLE is in less than 24 hours

I agree. Mostly tertiary thinking questions. And lots of 'choose the best option' for treatment options which always frustrate me.When I took the NAVLE at the end of 2014, this was how many/most questions were. Is got excited because I figured I knew what disease it was...and then the question was about testing or treatments, owner education, etc. So I’d be prepared for that.

I hope I feel the same when I come out of it next week!If anyone needs a last minute pep talk, feel free to message me!
Truly, it wasn't even half as bad as I thought it was going to be (still difficult, but not a monster). I have no idea if I passed but I feel pretty good coming out the other side!
Holy ****, NAVLE is done. What in the world do I do now?
Do I need to be Canadian to understand this?Drink a whole bottle of wine and start crying when they introduce Old Jack on Eight Below.
At least that's what I did
Do I need to be Canadian to understand this?
Can anyone translate? I have no clue whats going on here
Take your breaks. There's no real rush to it. I should have brought something to snack on. A positive mental attitude goes a long way too!Taking my NAVLE tomorrow.... Kind of freaking out about it. Not sure what else I can do! I took a self-assessment and I was in the passing range. Hopefully my score will reflect that as well.![]()
Good luck! I took it today, I definitely knew some things but I feel like I was between 2-3 answers or straight up guessed on a lot of questions. I wish I'd brought caffeine of some sort, and ibuprofen, I had a killer headache during the last section from staring at the screen for so long.Taking my NAVLE tomorrow.... Did you guys not read my suggestions?!It really isn't different than any other test you've taken. Don't waste your brain power on ones you have no clue on, and use your strengths to make up ground. haha
Those lights with computer screen for those prone to headaches though are something to be aware of. Bring any meds you may need with you and take the break to take them if needed. Sugar rush is also suggested to put in a locker as you can rehydrate and carb load on them. 🙂
Lol, I remembered your post about Chapstick but somehow forgot that one!Did you guys not read my suggestions?!
Glad you made it though. You got this to those still taking it.
Yes there were definitely some that I knew for sure. I struggled with some of the questions where I felt as if two of the answers could be correct... I’m hoping I was able to reason through choosing (or guessing!) the “best” one.Good luck! Thanks for the encouragement! I ended up taking most of my break time, which honestly really helped me get prepared for the next session!Take your breaks. There's no real rush to it. I should have brought something to snack on. A positive mental attitude goes a long way too!
Good luck tomorrow!!
You're going to do great!Mine's tomorrow
