I'm from the Chicago area and cannot decide whether to attend Chicago Medical School or Creighton University School of Medicine.
I know attending CMS would allow me to do my rotations at a wide range of clinical sites within Chicago (Cook County, Lutheran General, Illinois Masonic etc.) allowing for diverse patient population experiences, and it's known for above average board scores. I liked the school when I interviewed but I've heard mixed things about its reputation for what that's worth. I'm also uncertain about it not having its own hospital.
On the other hand, I know Creighton has a strong clinical reputation, I really liked all of the outreach programs available, and the community seemed very engaged, happy, and friendly. I know Omaha is a big change from Chicago, and I'm a bit hesitant about that.
The curriculum (systems based) and cost are basically the same so that's not a factor. I'd appreciate any advice or input, thanks!
