Ok I read more in depth. Could you rank these then in terms of who you think would be in a pack with sunshine and cyndia (and BC for that matter)? Because like I said there are definitely more than 2 wolves remaining here.
And I get the knee-jerk reaction to pippy lying about sunshine reacting to posts being that she must be a wolf, but (despite how much I actually don't like it as a strategy) sometimes villagers do lie to get reactions out of people. For me, I have a hard time thinking of a reason for a wolf to lie about something easily refutable like post reactions.
Sporty has provided a lot of commentary/content despite not being here in present time very often, so I'm actually a little surprised that you have a harder time pinning down a read on her than kras, whose posts are probably 30-40% content. I know you had a separate post about kras so will respond to that when I find it again.
I personally think sunshine, cyndia, BC, and SAR or Sporty could all be in a pack together. I don't know how AM and pippy would fit in there. I feel like there is probably a wolf hiding in my village list, but I'm not sure who it is. I'm having a hard time coming up with a cohesive pack because of all of the back-and-forth (that could be performative) and the vets honestly get merged together in my brain. Pippy and AM I've had a hard time keeping separate, but I have no clue why. I am REALLY wishing I was taking notes now, because going back and doing ISOs is the only way I'm able to keep track of what's been happening. As I'm typing this it definitely sounds like an excuse, even though 85 pages of info is a lot to digest, but I am being sincere and I think that is a potential cohesive pack if I put the puzzle pieces together. It threw another wrench in my thought process with the realization that wolves can fake fight just to avoid suspicion.
My old reads list (for reference)-
Wolf: Sunshine
Leaning wolf: Cyndia
Neutral: SAR, sporty, pippy, AM
Leaning village: vetplz, WZ, april, bread
Village: genny, Samac, Vis, Kras
I understand, I don't know either. Probably has a bit to do with staying up way too late to read dozens of pages/the veterans and their arguments all blend together in my head/I have a hard time keeping track of people and names even IRL/maybe a tiny bit due to the high lead levels in my blood when I was a baby living in a very old apartment, idk lol
I agree with April's (long ago) post. I've been reading 10+ pages at a time trying to keep track of everything and I am definitely feeling overwhelmed. Everyone's arguments keep getting mixed up in my head.
I threw Alley in my village pile just because people thought she was very wolfy in the last game then flipped village. It's a stupid reason to keep her in village when everyone else is under pressure
This is a valid point. People constantly suspected me as a wolf during the noob game based on my gameplay and occasional absence from the thread, and it wasn't until some people used their night abilities on me that the pressure to yeet me kind of went away. So far during this game, I have gotten zero messages about night actions.
But does anyone else feel like nothing of much substance is being said? Like this fight’s not really digging deep and bringing up anything that would really risk making people more suspicious of the participants - just the same points that are already in the thread?
I may just be saying this because I, too, have reached the “extremely paranoid about AM because I don’t trust my ability to read her at all” stage.
edit: ninja’d by Pip, if I’m interpreting her post correctly
THIS^^^ I feel like I just read through a TON of information but it was full of tons of fluff and off-topic posts that get jumbled up in there that I am struggling to stay on topic and follow all of the different conversations that are related to the game.
My dive into Alley, as promised:
Could be seen as a genuine villager move, but could also be a wolf saying "heck, the villagers are already driving those bandwagons so I don't need to vote there and make myself look bad." She voted for Mayo as a salt vote.
I voted for Mayo pretty early on and described it as a semi-salty post because I was awful at reading him from the noob game and was already feeling weird about his posts on d1.
Explained the vote, didn't ever say WHY she thought coffee and cray were village, just that she thought they were. Wish I could have seen more explanation
I did not get any wolfy vibes from coffee? or cray, they both seemed like genuine villagers and that's why I would not switch my vote to either of them.
There wasn't really a reason to be sus of mayo on D1. She was the only one with her vote there at the end of the day. Blames it on the salt
Salt AND general suspicion of him as a player. Definitely a biased vote, but I didn't want to vote for people I thought were villagers AND I was suspicious of Mayo.
Here starts the cascade of following in Vis's footsteps everywhere. What a better way to hide than behind the most villagery person in the game so far? Also, cue the distraction of the game mechanism that she continues to use as a safe ground when pressure is put on her.
I know I said that Vis had pretty much pocketed me. They have very similar logic to me, and I do agree with their posts about pretty much everything. I am not trying to distract when I bring up the game mechanism. I still am wondering if there is a dystopian twist on this game, even if everyone else is ignoring it.
It seems like a too-safe list. Both the wolf and village lists mostly have people that either flipped village or are currently mostly consensus village. The questionables are mostly in neutral.
Valid point. I have been basing my reads lists heavily on Vis' because I have agreed with them substantially during this game.
Again, more game mechanism distraction. Also okay with a tie that could have killed two villagers.
I was okay with the tie because I thought they were both wolves. Plus, I got a new PM partner with Samac and was hoping she would give me some more info.
More mech distraction. Also, why the rush to end the game soon? Feels like another distraction. I find it interesting that she ends her sentences as questions which seems like a way to appear less combative. Feels wishy washy so she can back track if she needs to.
I think that is just how I type and think out my posts. Not intending to distract, and I honestly didn't even notice it until you pointed that out.
It doesn't help that I show up to the thread and everything has already been discussed ad nauseum already and I don't have a ton of new info or thoughts to add to the discussion.
Mechanism distraction. That last sentence weirded me out when I first read it and it still has the same effect now.
I was pointing out that we should be discussing the potential game twist, but focus MAINLY on wolf hunting.
Helping drive the sloth yeet, thinks that a vote is not lazy because other people are voting there. Going with the flow
I explained my reasoning behind the sloth vote, plus most of my village reads were voting there as well. I also voted there pretty early on, I think I was vote #3 or 4? Not trying to jump on a bandwagon, but I was most suspcious of sloth and did not have time to deep dive into my other wolf reads.
Going with the flow, agreeing with safe people
Another go-with-the-flow reads list
No explanation.
Another hide-behind-the-safe-villager posts, all ideas are ones that have already been discussed
Just to reiterate, I apparently keep showing up after everything has been discussed, but I still want to contribute. Going over my own post history, it definitely sounds like I say "I agree" over and over. I will try and come up with more "original" points if I survive today.
Overall notes: a lot of posts were fluff, not much if any original thinking, goes with the flow (especially after D1 when she caught too much attention for not voting with the bandwagon), seems very careful and mostly agreeable with wording so as not to catch attention or fall under fire, perpetually hiding behind Vis's arguments, uses the potential game mechanism as a distraction, poses thoughts as questions so she can back-track/sound less combative, has met the bare minimum post requirement. I think a wolf laying low.
Yeet alley
These are all valid points. I have been way busier than I expected to be IRL. Apparently I am not doing a good enough job at being a villager because y'all are still suspecting me even as I try to contribute as much as I can. I have been meeting post minimums every day, but I definitely had to spread things out and post as much as I can in my free time just to hit the 10 posts.
Something else I'd like to point out was that between the two reads post, sunshine comes into wolf out of nowhere (and I didn't go back and SUPER read between these so I could be wrong and please correct me if I am) but I found it interesting. I didn't pick up on it at first bc they were far apart, but
sunshine isn't even in the original reads post and
goes right to wolf in the second, followed by a
nekkid yeet vote.
this doesn't clear sunshine for me, could be bussing, but it takes away most of the village cred alley had on my list.
yeet alley
I didn't like the things April pointed out, and then I
really didn't like the reads list thing. Alley if you can explain what happened between the two, I'm always willing to change my vote
For that first reads post, I literally copied Vis' reads list and changed around a few people because I agreed with their logic and had the same reads on most people. However, I noticed that several people were missing from Vis' list when I did my reads list the following day, and I added them in based on how I was feeling. As we were discussing yeeting sloth, a LOT of the posts that sunshine was making were giving me wolfy vibes. I became suspicious of her from then on, and it was the catalyst to my vote for her today.
The naked yeet vote was so that Kdubs could find the post and it wouldn't get buried in text. The post right above it laid out all of my reasoning for voting for Sunshine.
sunshine gives more info as far as potential packs? or am i missing a piece.
I agree that if alley flips wolf I'm pretty much at a loss for who else is in the pack
Sunshine has had a LOT of interactions with other players. That means whichever way they flip there will be lots to evaluate to try and figure out v/v, v/w, or w/w. Alley has had very few interactions so leaves us kind of where we started off today
I agree, I was trying to think about what it would mean if Alley did flip wolf. Honestly, not much, because Alley doesn't really have many ties in the game. But my vote is staying there for right now unless someone makes a really good argument because I would rather yeet a wolf and have less information than possibly yeet a villager (honestly still feeling ??? about sun) and have some information
I still think yeeting Sunshine would yield more information. I can say over and over that I am not a wolf, but if you all yeet me, all you will lose is a vanillager and gain pretty much no new information.
But I am wolf lean for why?
Would also like to know why vetplz is a wolf lean because I read her as village
As requested, my modified reads list, STILL not perfected in any way, probably will have to go back and revise once I look more at possible wolfy pack interactions
In no particular order per category
Villagey:
Samac (wouldn't mind moving to wolfy with evidence but gut says village)
Bread
Vetschools
Visc
Genny
Sport
SAR (another I wouldn't mind moving to wolfy but gut says village)
???
Pippy (leaning village now)
AM (leaning village, argues with too many people to have a reasonable wolf pack)
Kras (I have no clue what to think of that role switch)
WZ
Sunshine (don't know WTF is up with her but I can't see her being in a pack with Alley right now)
Wofly:
Alley (see my long rambling ISO post)
Cyndia (perpetually confused by, could go anywhere really, gut says wolfy)
So, by process of elimination, that leaves Alley, Cyndia, and Kras at least in a pack?? I'm having a hard time reading WZ but I can't put her into that pack because I know at least a couple of those people are also part of her pack theory. I need to go back to look for interactions. I'm not sure how many wolves there are, but right now we are mostly certain that there are at least three given the four horsemen.
Previous read list for reference of changes
Just want to say that I follow your line of reasoning on a LOT of these, besides myself of course. Our reads lists are pretty similar.
Uh oh alley is catching up and liking my posts and she has no idea I'm yeeting her yet
I was super sad to see your post yeeting me, but this post made me laugh. Went from all likes to sad/wows
is anyone in this game average height or are we all at the ends of the bell
Just throwing this in there that I am 5'3.5" and I kind of feel tall based on the heights of my fellow players
