GGoats!! - An aMAAAAAHzing WW thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
It means that Mayo definitely has reasons for not cooperating with you, and you definitely ticked off Kras (and samac by extension) in multiple games, because you repeatedly got both of them yeeted as villagers for crummy reasons -- aka for playing differently from you. Not bad, just differently. So my comment was remarking on how surprised I am that you seem to remain unaware of that dynamic that has dominated the beginning of the last however many games.
Did you know I've never misyeeted samac?
Did you also know I've never misyeeted mayo?
Did you know I've only misyeeted kras twice despite the numerous times we've played together?
Did you know that you're shading me for the same thing you're validating mayo for?
Did you know you're not fooling anyone?
But then, why not vote for me or Dubz off the bat? Especially after you said I was a triggered wolf? It's not clear to me why you'd grumpy-face "demand." that I explain my vote for Dubz when she screwed you over just as much as anyone in that last game.
Did you know I'm voting for you right now?
Did you know that dubz was just playing to her wincon?
Did you know that it was specific villagers that made it so the only yeetable wolf wouldn't ever die?

It doesn't work for me when I quote. Sad.

I'm not trying to fool anyone and you're ignoring a very important comment that I made earlier.

Also, yikes.

Holy wall post Pippy. I'm already wolf leaning you and I'm tempted to move my yeet to you over this.

+1 wolf, feels lurky
Lurky for reading the intro before I post? Really?
+1 STL points
STL? Tried and failed to find in the WW terms.
Why separate this?

And this?

+1 wolf, backed off as soon as it was questioned but didn't move the vote
I did. Just not right away because sleep and didn't have a good wolfy feel on anyone else yet
This sucks, though. You can't bitch about low participation and then snark at people for participating. My genuine thoughts are in that post (outside of the couple "yay goats" which are there because games are supposed to be fun). I was going to do more, but honestly don't appreciate the complaint about content.
My problem, personally, with huge wall-posts is not about participation, but about making a post so large that most people aren't going to read all of the content. It makes it easy for people to just go "Pippy is really involved, + village points" without actually absorbing any of what you're saying. Same thing happened with wolf!vis in the basics game and it ended up actually being a decent wolfing strategy.

Just because you're busy doesn't mean it's wolfy ✌️

Hate the vote for an MIA player in a game with a participation minimum
That’s fair to hate it. I guess my thought process has always been I hate to yeet an active villager on accident day 1. I never feel like I have enough info for a good wolf vote.
So you have wolf points for someone but would still rather vote for someone who hasn't posted at all?
I think that post is wolfy just because it was full of some useless joke reads to make the actual reads muddled, but I also know pippy is a powerhouse villager. I wouldn’t want to yeet her day 1 and if she flips village and lose her. I’m going to watch her posts carefully going forward.

I have 2 more admissions coming my way and don’t know if I’ll be able to be back by yeet vote but I’ll try. Sorry for the relatively low activity day, I’m off tomorrow so should be able to completely catch up and form more complete reads.

The other "+" categories are basically just nerd jokes (for example, STL is an old player who used to vote people based on things like the numerical correlation between posting first & being a wolf, or a player using emojis)
You can disregard my question about STL, found the answer

I'm very interested in what's going on with April right now. As she's noted herself, she usually tends to post very fluffy early on, but today it seems like she's going a lot harder on D1 than I've seen in the couple games with her so far. I don't know if this is an evolving villager (trying to become more effective at wolfhunting) or a wolf!April trying to play differently than she did before to avoid suspicion.

High activity =/= village though. It's more pro-village, for sure, but it doesn't say much about affiliation alone. The content in the posts do.

My bad I got caught up studying for my cell bio exam tomorrow morning. Let me catch up and place a vote.

re: mkg323, I can believe that a noob would pick up some terminology and strategy if they read old games, and possibly have played some similar strategy games before. So I don't think that is a good argument to convince me of wolfiness there, I think it's NAI and just indicative of someone who did their homework. Now, it's possible a wolf would be more motivated to do said homework so they can play effectively, but I think a village noob could have the same motivation.

This pings me just a tiny bit. You can yeet a wolf on D1.

My issue is that she seems to be throwing a lot of suspicion around to see what sticks (like when I voted doggo) and some of it is echoey (like the mayo vote + reasoning)

I've wolfed the past two games in a row and it was incredibly fun but also exhausting and I'm excited as heck to be a villager again.

Actually, I stopped reading where I stopped quoting you, and I mostly skipped to the parts you quoted me in. I have a hard time digesting wall posts.

This feels oddly familiar... I wonder why, Barks?
Barks and doggo like to joke yeet each other. It’s a thing
Yeet Barks
For those who didn't see wolf!Barks play in the emoji game:
This makes me feel some type of way

One time I helped a vet lance CL abscesses on a whole herd of goats. Looked just like the Velveeta mac and cheese sauce packets, white cheddar. Mmmm.
Now I'm craving Velveeta

I was about to go to bed and suddenly i'm hungry now :hungry::bag::sorry:

Look I love a good oozing access as much as the next gal but hungry?!? Y’all are gross +1 wolf point

alissa was in the last game I played if you count speed games. She voted me directly after I voted the only killable wolf.

I think this conversation is irrelevant tbh because any current players who want to retain new players are going to let a freshly minted noob have like, a day. She could come onto this thread howling while dressed in a poorly-made sheep suit and I still wouldn't vote for her until at least tomorrow evening.

My issue is that she seems to be throwing a lot of suspicion around to see what sticks (like when I voted doggo) and some of it is echoey (like the mayo vote + reasoning)
So you're calling me suspicious for having original ideas of suspicious things but also for not having original ideas of suspicious things?

It's hard not to be echoey when I was away for a chunk of time and everything has already been pointed out that there is to point out. Doesn't mean the arguments aren't valid and I can't agree with some of them.

No, I'm calling you suspicious because one of the things you pointed out as sketchy was a huge stretch and one of the other things was a detailed post about why a noob was maybe wolfy because they asked good questions. And then that plus the echoing didn't really give me any good feels

@Aprilthearab I feel like your defense right now sounds village, and you are a good villager when you are one.

Aside from me, who do you think is wolfy?
Mayo, for aforementioned reasons. Barks yeeting me seems opportunistic, primarily because I know the wolves are going to capitalize on all the salt directed my way from wolfing the past two games combined with people always thinking I'm sus D1 regardless of my affiliation. Also because the reasoning she gave for yeeting me just now was weak. Ever so slight wolf lean on barks.

Because yeeting me is very opportunistic - keeping an eye on the people who are either staying on my vote because salt (like sun) and those who are calling me sus but not voting me because of it so they can egg on my yeet without being on a villager wagon (I don't have any names off the top of my head, need to go back and read).

I don't think I have any good reasons to move anyone else out of neutral at the moment.

I don’t feel any better about April...
Keeping my eye on lainey for lack of substance
Don’t know why Mayo came out and defended me

It's an easy wolf push. A lot of people are already sus of me and a lot of people want me dead for reasons unrelated to this game. Easy to cover up or justify.
It was an easy push at the beginning. Doubling down and pushing you into the lead over me -- who has been acting admittedly very sketchy -- is a very different story in my mind.

Question for if you make it back: do you have plans to change your vote now that TE has posted?

re: mayo vs. AM, so far I mostly see the tension over strategy that others have mentioned (and that has ocurred in other games) rather than anything that feels super wolfy in either direction. I read Mayo's vote/subsequent comments as jokey (as I think mayo intended), and I don't think it's really any better of a village strategy to claim that a vote for someone a few min in is somehow a much better vote than admitting your motivations are part joking/salt. I DO think D1 votes are meaningful, and ultimately the yeets bring info, but I don't think you can claim that voting right at the start for a player who hasn't even posted yet has much more backing to it than a joke/salt vote.

Because I'm trying to wait until day 2 to salt-vote AM.

I might need to start posting in a different color when I'm making a joke...

Buddying?

Or just, y'know, don't respond to serious inquiries that way.

My vote is real. Pretty sure a couple others are too.

That's not a compliment, my dude. Unless all this time you've been in supreme awe of my play.

You voted for allisa 3 minutes into the game, before she had posted anything.

I will learn as much from my lulz vote as you will from your's.
All the interactions with Mayo placing a strange joke vote and following it up with shaky explanations and saying he's saving an actual salt vote for D2 is reminding me of how I almost got yeeted D1 (for very good reason) of the last game.

Unyeet Barks
Yeet Mayo

Neither.

I was making a joke that instead of salt-voting AM D1 I would do it D2 instead.

Serious!Mayo (trying to disguise as joking!Mayo) is giving me wolf!Mayo noob game vibes

Do you really believe that?

What is more likely:

That I made a joke based on previous voting habits and then got annoyed when I was repeatedly forced to address it as a serious comment

or

that as a wolf i thought it was good strategy to announce to the village on D1that I’m going to vote anti-village going forward?

I’m not getting the same wolfy vibes everyone else is getting
I also kind of asked about your Dubz vote, and how serious it was, and you sort of blew it off. I was going to let it go, and see what did throughout the day, but this was a pretty basic question, about why you put your vote on Dubz, and you’re being evasive.

Just like you’re being evasive about my asking about Cray and Mayo’s interactions. It’s also weird that you’re bringing up Cray and Mayo in response to AM who never asked about either.

Now you’re getting defensive about people jumping on you for being excited, but literally the only explanation you’ve given for your Dubz vote basically boils down to Dubz being excited. Seems like a weird double standard.
I really like this analysis. Just to be clear, zenge is with shorty irl and April’s SO is not playing this game?

Liked cray’s thoughts so far

Impressed with MK’s analysis this far and will give her the benefit of the doubt for today
