Hi,

I wanted to get an idea of the workload at boston university (yr 3 and 4 for of medical school). I have a general idea of hours worked in clerkship, but what do BU students end up doing at BUMC? I know there are great variations with specialities (surgery can be 75-100 hrs/week, psych can be 40-50). So, maybe you can describe for different specialties or you can compare BUMC to other hospitals you trained at.

I've heard (i have no idea of the truth) they used to really overwork there residents. ... Also, since BUMC gets such a high patient load (so im told), do the clerkships end being a killer. I know, the plus to that is how the students say they get so much responsibility.

I can handle it any which way. I'm used to studying/working like hell in my jobs, undergrad, and gradschool, and still finding times for other things. I just want to know what im getting into, thus asking.

Any other comments on boston university clinical experience are appreciated!
Thanks!
