Im slightly worried. Do some schools sometimes ... forget to send you an email notice of an interview invite? Has it happened to anyone that they were invited for an interview but never received notice of it?

Another question is, if schools who send phone requests cannot get in touch with you by phone (lets say you're out of the country for vacation), do they then send a notification email?

And do the schools that send requests by post mail also send an email notice?

I know these questions arent one hundred percent related, but Im most concerned with the first question. I vaguely remember someone mentioning an instance where that person had an interview invite but never received notice of it....

A few people in the Drexel forum have mentioned being invited to interview via their status pages, but not receiving an e-mail for it.

Some schools snail-mail interview notifications and then schedule interviews via phone or online. If you're super-concerned about your status, you can call the admissions office, although the response to "Did I miss your interview notification?" might not be uniformly polite 🙂 . Usually the status page and/or email or lack thereof will keep you fully informed.

If you are unavailable by phone at any time, like on vacation, I believe most schools will let you designate an alternate contact.

People who never receive notice of an interview invite are probably mostly people who aren't keeping a close eye on their spam filter.

If you are worried about not having received any interviews yet, I wouldn't worry too much. It's still relatively early and a bunch of people are in the same boat.

Hahah. I almost want to call somewhere and ask that exact question.

Also - your avatar is adorable.

Don't forget to check your spam folder frequently. Sometimes they end up there.

SUNY upstate didn't e-mail me when I found I got an interview on their status page (after I saw several people complained about not being notified by e-mail on SDN, of course) But eventually I got an e-mail (after almost 2 weeks??) . Hope that helps

My Buffalo page wasn't changing after quite a while so I called and she said "Oh yeah, we like your application and would like to invite you for an interview!" So I did.

In fact, my Buffalo status page still says "No action."

Ok, this worries me. Haha

anyone else have advice on which status pages are worth checking fairly often?
