Interviewed 2/26

Wait-listed today.

Haven't heard of anyone interviewing after mid February being accepted directly yet.

Hoping for that wait-list movement.

Hey Jaymoh and everyone else who is waitlisted,

Were you guys placed on specific waitlists? My letter said that I am being placed on the wait list for Seton Hill specifically, and I am not sure whether that means anything. Thanks!

You mean selected as an alternate?

Was placed in SH waitlist , whatever that means, based on the letter, but it's probably more of a single waitlist for both Erie and SH.

Just a thought but since SH is only PBL, that means that you are either in an SH exclusive waitlist, or in a SH and Erie PBL combined list

To my annoyance (is that the right word for being grateful yet irritated) I received a secondary invite yesterday-though I have been complete since AUGUST 2015?!. I confirmed that they are still offering interviews through May, though they will be for waitlist spots most likely. Anyone else had this happen to them?

Has anyone who interviewed at the Erie campus on 2/18 heard anything yet? My portal still says "Thank you for interviewing..."

I interviewed on 2/25, had a portal change on 2/29 and received the letter yesterday. I was wait-listed but I will not be keeping my spot. Good luck to those on the waitlist!!

I actually interviewed at Seton Hill branch on 2/15 and my portal status is the same thing.... I emailed them too but have not heard back anything

I was told over the phone that they are trying to avoid giving out wait list letters so to be patient

What would be the point in avoiding wait-list letters?

There was a deposit due April 1 so they are probably trying to figure out exactly how many of the people that they accepted earlier in the year will actually be attending. Once they sort out the seats available, they might be able to outright accept rather than wait list

They said when you call all interviews are for wait-list positions now. Does this school have a lot of Waitlist movement and when does it really start to happen?

post bac students just finished their final. it was hard so i foresee a LOT of post bac seats opening up. Wait list movement will commence very soon. I'm not happy about it but it's happy news for you guys.

Hey guys. I have a house for rent in Erie. 3 bed 1 bath at $500/month for a room. One of the bedrooms is really small so consider it a 2bed 1 bath and a storage/small office room. You can also rent the entire house for $1000. Laundry in the basement and big back yard. Nice cherry oak hardwood floors. Pets allowed. PM me for details if interested.

Does anyone have an idea when financial aid is coming through?

PM'd you

I believe (as with most schools) you can expect to get your refund check about 2 weeks into the semester.
sorry I meant when they will process it to let us know what we are getting (I should have clarified that)

I'm really hoping someone can help me with a couple questions!

LECOM-SH is definitely a good fit for me.
  1. I was given an interview today (didn't receive the supplemental app until recently even though I submitted very early I think there was a problem with my email on my end which I take responsibility for) and I'm going to go to the interview because I don't want to not take the opportunity. Taking an interview on the last possible day (May 6) is still not a bad idea right?
  2. In terms of letters, how strict is LECOM-SH about having committee letters? Right now I have 5 really solid letters (1 MD, 1 science, 3 college professors/advisors) and I'm worried that I won't be able to get the committee letter or another science letter on time if at all because of how difficult my university makes it to get a committee letter from them.
Considering the obstacles above and the fact that financially I should be trying to save as much as possible right now, do you think it's still a good idea to spend on the flight/hotel/taking a day off from work to interview?

Is it worth it to even go to the interview considering all of these obstacles above?

Yes, you're fine. I had 3 individual letters (2 science and 1 non-science) and was accepted to LECOM-SH, so I think you're good! 🙂

Thanks so much for the reply, you think I'd be ok even though I only have 1 science letter? Their reqs say either a committee letter or 2 science letters 🙁

Yeah, you'll be okay. I was accepted to Erie with just 1 science, 1 DO, and another professor. I think you have plenty!

Anyone who interviewed at Erie on or after 3/24 hear anything?

So I interviewed at Erie on 2/18, and my application status is still, "Thank you for interviewing at the Erie Campus, you will be notified when the committee makes a decision on your application." But today in the "View Admissions Status" page there is a new subcategory labeled "Contacts." Does anyone know what this could mean?

Current students - does this school experience a high amount of waitlist movement? If so when does it usually begin for LECOM? I know every school can be different, is there a specific deadline to watch out for? When a bunch of seats will open up.

I have a contacts section that is blank, no idea

May I ask when you received the supplemental? I submitted on the first day of the cycle yet only received the supplemental 10 days ago! I submitted the supplemental that same day, but still.... I'm anxious to know if there's even a point to getting any hopes of an interview.

My reason for not receiving the supplemental was I think due to my having multiple email addresses and there was a mixup between all of them so I don't know if I'm a good gauge! That being said, unless it's going to be a huge financial burden or you've gotten into your dream school I think it's always a good idea to go to interviews!

Mine is a similar circumstance. How long did it take for them to extend the interview invite after you submitted the secondary?

I believe somewhere between 2-3 weeks? I'm hoping for the best for you!

Ah, sorry! Yes I am wondering that myself. I think someone earlier in the thread said sometime in May.

Edit: I just emailed finaid for Seton Hill and I'll let you know what they say.
