TXKnight, I was complete oct 22 and still no word here. I let you know what I hear.

Well I just got back from the interview so I figured I'd share....

DCOM has a very nice facility. Although I am disappointed I didn't get to see the new anatomy lab due to testing. The morning started off with a meet and great, followed by several presentations. Overview, financial aid, and a break down of each years curriculum. We then had our 30 minute interviews. Mine ended up being about 45 (maybe good?). Basic questions consisting of 'why med', 'why dcom' and 'why DO'. 'Then tell me about yourself' and 'what is your opinion of medical marijuana'. Overall it was very relaxed and the interviewers where very very friendly. After that we had a tour.

Any questions pm me....and good luck!

We were lucky enough to see the anatomy lab on our tour and it is seriously the nicest one I have seen at any medical school I've toured. It is absolutely amazing.

It is a super-friendly school, isn't it? I loved this school and was ecstatic when I received my acceptance!

Good luck to you - perhaps we'll be in the class of 2017 together.

Congrats Mr Kenobi. Did you decide between these 2 yet or are you looking at another school to attend. Just wanna get another persons perspective on these 2. I am between these 2 right now

Thanks Mash and congrats to you as well! For the most part I think that I have made a decision between Marian and LMU. I'd be more than happy to hear what you are thinking and let you know my perspective as well. Hit me up with a PM!

I agree...every single person I was introduced to, in the graduate area, was super nice! The shuttle driver was a really kind gentleman also...I am counting the days until Friday...waiting on that call!

I met Bob one time and that was on my interview day last October. I saw him in the grocery story in July before school started and he walked up to me and said, "Hey, CopToEM, how have you been? How's your fiancee?" To think the number of people that man meets every year and he remembered my name 9 months later floored me. He's a very kind soul and remains one of our biggest supporters. He's very proud to be here and we're very proud to have him!

Is anyone interviewing on 11/20 at 9am? I am!

I saw him at Starbucks a few days ago and he completely remembered me and my wife from the interview. He's an incredible person.

By the way, whoever is interviewing on Monday, my friends and I will be at your pizza night! Looking forward to meeting you all!! 😀

Any idea on turn around time from complete to ii? I was complete nov 5th, wondering when it starts being appropraite to call and check in.

I was complete on 10/22, and I emailed them..they said they will review me this week. Better to email them to remind them about you.

Is anyone staying at the "Old Mille Bed and Breakfast" place for the 11/20 interview?

Definitely call and check...seems to get immediate attention on your file at this school. I actually met Ms. Martin (director of admissions) in San Diego when the Osteopathic convention was going on out here. During our conversation I told her that I had been complete for a month or so and she gave me her card and told me to email her. I did and within a day I received an interview invite. They are very helpful and friendly there.

Bob also remembered my name and my screen name on SDN almost a year after my interview. Incredible individual and one of the nicest people you will ever meet, and I know he is reading this now so........We appreciate everything you do more than you know!!

Bob was AWESOME. He had lunch with us and and drove us around and took me extra places at the end to show me the undergrad campus. He knows a great deal about LMU and medical school in general. Def a great dude

Well, sometime today...in a conference room...my future is being decided....

Received the official acceptance letter today - I want to frame it. And then carry it around everywhere with me. Just a tad bit excited.

I framed mine haha ! Achieiving something after lots of hard work is such an amazing feeling isn't it ?

I was complete September 10th. I had not heard anything for a long time and was wondering why? (especially when people with lower stats were receiving interviews and acceptances). I called Wednesday to inquire about my current status and apparently my mcat had not been received or something. Anyway long story short they made a mistake, placed my application in front for review and I got a call for an interview today. Super excited!

First of all...Thank You all for the support!

Anyone hoping for a post interview phone call today?

At the interview I was the only person that had heard of SDN...kinda weird

I received my call the Friday following my interview, but it wasn't until about 3 in the afternoon. I was transporting a patient and couldn't answer my phone and I knew it was DCOM calling. So frustrating! We eventually got in touch though.

Thinking of you and hoping you get the call! We were told not to worry if it didn't come on Friday - some people weren't called until as late as Monday.

Were you there on Nov 12th interview? I haven't received my interview call today 🙁. Very upset.

i was there on the 13th and havent received a call yet either 🙁 im hoping that its just because the dean is in california and hasn't started calling people yet....fingers crossed!
