..do we email them and ask about it? I just want to know if I should be hopeful or not
I mean... at this point we are all so far along the process now, the only thing we can do is..wait..

Maybe they were part of the February wave.. I am going through hurricane-like winds atm so my internet is botchy! I keep refreshing my emails.. 😂

BUT CONGRATS ON THE ACCEPTANCE YOU GUYS!! 🎉
I knew that they did a December wave but do they also usually do another before the mid March ones?

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted yesterday! If you didn't know already there is a Facebook group for our class you can join! Nobody has posted anything, yet, but as more people join, I'm sure there will be some chats going!

I added myself yesterday to the group! Waiting for admin to approve it 🙂

Is any newly accepted peeps planning on attending?! I was accepted in early December and am most likely accepting my spot to LMU!

Same. Maybe they're doing it in waves?
I did not either. They typically send them out in waves. From what I understand, they interview a lot of people and move through a large wait list. Don’t be discouraged! We will all know something in about 14 days, I do believe.

It is looking grim for those of us who have not heard back. A girl on the Facebook group said she called and talked to admissions and they told her the class is full and the rest of us are rejections and waitlisted, but that we won't hear back until APRIL. This is super close to the deadline and unfair to those of us waiting to commit to other schools until we get LMUs decision. I have emailed Holly (director of admissions) to clarify for myself, and I will post what she says on here for those who want to know.

She replied quickly but gave little clarification. Said that decisions will continue to be released "in the weeks and months to come, even after April 15". So idk.

Thanks for letting us know. I saw that post on Facebook too. I’m pretty shocked that they don’t have to let us know anything before April 15th. That just seems crazy to me 😕

Hmm... I read that post and there was a couple of things that pointed out to me.. she said that that the class is full but she probably means that LMU sent out all of their offers and that now they just need to hear back from the students not the class is full because everyone accepted their seat. And I know schools have deadlines so it would be crazy if all of us who still need to hear back from LMU get a decision around mid-April. We have to commit somewhere by April 15! I'm not discrediting her, but something about it seems off to me. Just speculating lol. 😂

Also what was confusing to me is if the class is full, then they would go ahead and send out rejections/waitlist now instead of waiting. So some things just seem off about what was said. Who knows!

Exactly! If that was the case then LMU has really nothing holding it back when it comes to releasing decisions then. So unless it's from the admissions themselves then I take those kinds of posts with a grain of salt tbh.

The post has been deleted too. I can’t imagine ALL spots have been filled/accepted. I thought last year there was something where all schools had to release official decisions by 3/15 so students had at least a month to decide but maybe that was more of a professional courtesy. Last year lmu released some decisions in December and February but most were released 3/12. But last year they didn’t send any rejections until 3/12 either so this year has been a little different already.

The way Holly has replied to everyone it actually seems to me like they may not be limiting it to one final wave. I think it odd the person who posted said they weren’t even planning to attend LMU if offered as they had other offers they were going to accept SO take that as you will there. We should know within 2 weeks I think guys!! It’s all good!

Poor girl, I hope she wasn't teased too much about that post. But yeah last year, they sent out acceptances in three waves and this wave is where the rest of the applicants hear back. I hope we can back soon, I am getting super anxious here lol.

I agree with the last posts. Still more acceptance to come in March. The commitment deadline is April 15. Once people turn down their spots, they will pull from the waitlist. Potentially all the way through August. Final group of Denial, waitlist and acceptance letters are going to be out in mid March. I spoke candidly with an admissions director from another Vet school with a similar acceptance pool as LMU. (Private school with one large candidate pool). I am not sure exactly how or why LMU does acceptance in this fashion, I assume they work through acceptances in groups like interview request etc. when they decide on a group the send out the letters of acceptance. The denial letters already sent out could simply be incomplete application or applications with issues (I don’t know that, just a hunch). Mid March we all will have to hear from everywhere we applied. Industry standard is about a month to decide. Private schools like LMU are expensive and typically pull a lot from the waitlist because people opt for less expensive schools. Typically their instate option. I would encourage everyone to keep breathing and stay calm. We all waited this long to find out, try to enjoy the process the best you can. From personal experience, I applied last year to my instate school and got denied. I enjoy the hope and daydreams of prosperity significantly more than the feeling of denial. Best of luck everyone and I hope to meet everyone at LMU this August.

I have a question for current LMU students.... When do you move to the area of the school? I am moving from Ohio and I am new to the relocating game ( lived at home for undergrad). Just looking for advice on where to live and when to move! Thanks!

I moved to Harrogate the last weekend of July, & that gave me enough time to get settled in before classes started (last year they started on August 10th). I personally like living in Harrogate because it's close to both the main campus & DVTC, & it's a smaller area. I grew up in a rural area in PA, so I like having the familiarity while in school. Harrogate does have some stores, but it's also close to Middlesboro, which is where majority of the grocery stores, pharmacies, shops, etc. are in the Tri-state region. I highly recommend joining the Facebook groups for housing: LMU-CVM housing & for sale, & LMU-DCOM Harrogate housing options! Feel free to PM me if you have other questions/need further advice! 🙂

Not a current student but I am accepted for c/o 2025! I am moving from NY, so I totally understand the big move (and as of current i have no advice on that! lol I will definitely be winging it!) I signed a lease for a house in Harrogate for a move-in date for July 1st back in January! I also recommend the LMU-CVM Housing page (that's how I was able to communicate with landlords in the area and current students!) and what is great about that page is current students will either recommend houses they are staying in but are moving out of due to clinicals and/or recommend landlords that work with veterinary students that have great reputations amongst the students. For example, the landlord I am going to be renting from has houses in the harrogate area that appear to all be rented by veterinary students! He makes sure they have internet and fenced in yards! I got very lucky with my home! There also is no pet limits/fees. Also definitely ask if houses/apartments have wifi! I had no idea this was an issue until I began looking for homes and one that I was almost set on I learned did not have internet capabilities.

Has anyone received their acceptance letter in the mail who was apart of this last wave in February?

Hey everyone! For accepted students, has anyone received a financial aid package at this time? I didn't know if we should expect to get this prior to the April 15 deadline

I got a letter in the mail last week with my LMU account login and how to see my financial aid rewards

I’m guessing no results yet for acceptance or waitlisted or deny. The wait is killing me

I keep hoping today they’ll send out more 😅 wishful thinking

Most schools send out all decisions March 15 or before as a common courtesy to students to allow time to make decisions before the deadline. So hopefully next week we’ll hear.

Really thought we’d hear yesterday. Frustrating.
Yeah it’s pretty crazy. I just wonder if they do plan on releasing the rest of the decisions before April 15 or not? I know someone said a while ago that they might not which would really be nuts.

The fact that they haven’t sent out any waitlist yet tells us that the class is most likely not full. I hope we hear in the next week or two but if they chose not to send out decisions until closer to the deadline then they’ll miss out on students who are accepted elsewhere.

:'-)
I accepted my seat somewhere else, but if LMU sends me an acceptance I'm going to take that seat instead

How can they justify not notifying people of their status until after the commitment deadline if they aren't waitlisted? I have been accepted elsewhere and can no longer wait for or consider LMU. I think they're losing a lot of great potential students doing acceptances this way.
