Hey hopeful future Spartans

Interviewed on 9/29 for DO and DO-PhD. Anyone have an idea of when we could hear back for the DO program? Have an absolutely delightful day.
They should tell you during MMI. They won't reject u since you have gone so far with dual program office. Either acceptance or waitlist.

Hi yes sorry for the late reply; GPA: 3.6 and MCAT:510. Is there anyway to check the GPA as calculated by MSUCOM?
Go to your AACOMAS home page, click "check status" in the upper right corner, click MSUCOM, click "download PDF". Scroll down to ~page 8 of the PDF and it will have all your calculated GPA's.

From what I remember when Anne went over my application last cycle when I was rejected, MSUCOM pulls up your file and sees three GPA's: undergraduate science, post-bacc science, and graduate science. All pulled from your AACOMAS.

Hope that helps!

Did anyone from the 9/20 interviews hear back yet?

The wait is killing me :hurting:

What did you guys think of the interview? MSUCOM's dean came and talked at my undergrad school and I absolutely loved the guy. Dr. Ruger is awesome too!

I really liked the MMI. I also greatly appreciate the relative shortness of the day. I feel that lunch, seminars, financial aid/housing presentations etc. should be reserved for accepted students day.

Looks like it may be too late in the day to get the magic phone call today which means this week 🙁

Do you/did you feel like the MMI gave you a fair chance to represent yourself?

Absolutely. The primary and secondary outline one's academics, motivations and interests. The MMI enables candidates to display their thought processes, any biases and ability to think well under a little pressure.

Cool! Good to hear some positivity about MMI's.

What is an OOS student looking at in terms of total loans for all 4 years? I am pursuing DO-PhD, but in case that doesn't pan out what am I facing in order to attend here?

Your best bet would to grab a scholarship. Otherwise, it is almost 80k per year which doesn't include living expenses. You'd be looking at over 370k in loans for tuition+living expenses for 4 years.

Interviewed 9/29... I was hoping for a quick turnaround again but looks like I'm in the waiting boat again till Monday. :inpain:
I interviewed on 9/29 as well and we probably won't hear back for another week at least.

I submitted my secondary Sept 20. Hope it's not too late, is it?

Last year, I submitted around this time and got the interview in less than a month. Im guessing msucom must be backed up with even more apps

Tier 2 waitlisted in 08/19 interview group. MCAT 513, GPA 3.69, sGPA 3.6. Advising appt scheduled for more information. Anyone happen to know more about the tier system? I felt good about the interview, but I must be missing something!!
