Nothing in the mail today. I'm not gonna lie, I'm a bit discouraged. Ugh. Maybe Monday. When I sent my graduation invites out it took 4 days to get from my house to my grandparents ... Who live 5 miles away maybe the mail is just slow... Yes I'm trying to rationalize with myself... 🙁 🙁 womp womp

Kpowell- There was crappy weather in some places between here & you, too, I think? I'll be really shocked if you don't get in!

People who got in- are you beginning (a-i), middle (j-p),or end of alphabet (q-z)? Curious to see if there's any logic to the acceptances so far!

I don't think they're done yet, but don't quote me!

The weather has been crappy for TN standards.. But in other parts of the country, What we had was laughable.. Praying that Monday or early next week brings good news. :luck: :luck: :xf: :xf:
 
I'm towards the end of the alphabet (last name starts with an S).
 
My dad called me while I was at mass, after he dropped my sister off at the house...I freaked out, thinking he'd got mail from Missouri. Nope, just mail from my undergrad that he wanted to make sure he could open for me. I am such a ball of stress right now.

Does anyone know why they sent out some invites early? I'm wondering if the logic was to send them to "underrepresented" states as far as Mizzou demographics goes?


Uggg I'm freaking out! Any word on when the rest will be sent?

The latest they will send out the rest is Feb 1st. Last Kpow checked was last Monday (I think) and they said they were only waiting on a dozen transcripts/gre scores so it's possible the rest will be sent sooner.

This is correct. Kathy said they were only sending out a batch to start because they were still missing about a dozen transcripts/test scores.... Hopefully the rest will be sent soon!

I'm so excited for all of you! Even if you go somewhere else, at least you made it!

i got the big brown envelop today guys 😀 I'm in Georgia, in case you're wondering. And congrats to my fellow acceptance-ees (?) lol there must be a word for that but i just shut down my brain because i'm in party mode hearing this news!

Ahh congrats!! Your giving me hope that today might be my lucky day!! :xf: :xf: ( trying to not get my hopes up though )
 
ahhh! I'm nervous! I didn't get anything today 🙁 does anyone know if they have sent out that second batch yet? And will they send out letters to people who got waitlisted in the near future?
 
Still haven't gotten anything here as well, but my interview went poorly. 🙁 I just want news!!!

Same here, I keep on thinking of all the ways my interview went wrong and all of the problems with my app.

Accepted! FYI the mail went to my folk's house in CO. (Was I on drugs when I was filling out that secondary? That hasn't been my permanent address for a decade!)

Not sure what the post date was. I'm in the middle of the alphabet.

Is anyone else not 100% sure where they're going yet? I really liked Mizzou but I'm waiting until I see Illinois to make a decision. Has anyone seen both?
 
I'm probably 95% sure I'm going to Mizzou. Only competition would be Wisconsin, but a) I don't think I'll get in there and b) it is so friggin cold I don't know if I'd want to go if I got in. That being said there are somethings I really like about it and it's a little cheaper than Mizzou, so I'm going to wait it out and see.

Do we even know whether the later sendings came out yet? As far as I know, you still might be getting one of those!

I'm about to have a whirlwind of school visits--Penn interview Friday, LSU interview next Tuesday, Cornell visit next Friday. So I'm definitely not sure yet, but Mizzou's up at the top!
 
No idea. Just waiting... I'm so happy for everyone accepted! But it makes me disheartened for myself. Hopefully one school will like me...
 
Hi guys, I just joined but I got my acceptance letter from Mizzou two days ago... very exciting! My first accpetance!! Not sure if I'm going to go there or not, we shall see if I get accepted to my in-state school, VMRCVM, before I decide. I did love it there for the day I was in town! Congrats to everyone else who got in!!
 
does anyone know if all acceptances were mailed? I have not heard back yet and I don't think that is a good thing 🙁 congrats to those who are in!

I know it's early, but I'm starting to look at property in CoMo.

I've emailed:
Dexter Management
C-Town Management
KPO properties

Any other suggestions from the current students would be awesome!!

I'm thinking that in order to save money I will want roomies, so I'm open to living with either upperclassmen or first years.. Hopfully SDN combined with the FB page will give me some leads 😀
 
I currently rent through Dexter and overall love it (overall meaning that at 7:15 am, the traffic gets annoying because there are buses and parents on the main road that is right behind my duplex, but other than that, I've had a good experience with Dexter and my dog likes her fenced yard). As far as other suggestions, I'm not too helpful.... Lol

I emailed Kathy today asking about that, and she said no, but they're planning on sending the rest of the letters out on Monday.:scared:
