Yup 🙁 and my pin isn't working for some reason so I can't check on Webstar. Is it possible that I might get an email some time next week? Has that happened to anyone? Or was today the day?

My webstar doesn't actually say anything about me being accepted, so don't worry about not being able to log in. Also, it looks like people from earlier interview dates were accepted today as well so maybe it just takes them awhile to get to each person. I received the email at 3:00 their time and my last name was spelled completely wrong haha. They're probably rushing trying to get to everyone and maybe they went home early to enjoy their weekend.

I'm sure you got in!! Not many people get rejected and I think their office is just a little bit slow sometimes.

Pretty sure they don't do silent rejections, so no news can potentially be a good thing for you right now. I got my acceptance email on a Monday.

That's great news! No silent rejections? I didn't know that. Plus, knowing that acceptances can be sent on a Monday is a huge plus too. The acceptance rate post-interview is really high so keep your head up this weekend guys!

I was accepted a week after the first acceptance from my interview group was sent out. Don't lose your cool now. Be patient. It's a virtue worth cultivating 🙂

Good luck.

Accepted today
interviewed 1/22
3.80 cGPA/3.75 sGPA/ 34Q

Definitely going here!

Hey guys, what options do we have for the deposit payment. What credit cards do they accept? Anyone pay with a check? And if so, does the check have to be there by the deadline or postmarked by the deadline? I get paid the day after the deadline so I'm trying to figure out my options.

I paid with credit card. That interest is hurting me now though =/

Congratulations to all the new acceptances! 👍👍

:welcome:

You guys will love the feeling of medical student debt 😀. Actually, it's not that bad if you don't think about it ever. Just keep your eye on the prize! 😎

Haha. I've already agonized over that for a couple of months but I'm pretty much over it now. I'm sure when the statements come in, it'll make me want to vomit.

Eh, now that you mention "statements" that reminds me I got an email recently about something I need to do for FAFSA. Woops.

I am in no way advocating credit card debt for things that aren't necessary. As in it is necessary to pay the med school deposit but not to buy an extra pair of shoes.

Those of you in the to be accepted category or those who have a bit of time before it is due, consider looking into 0% PURCHASE apr credit cards. There are 0% balance transfer apr cards which are useless for this purpose so stay away from them. With the former you can purchase stuff up to the card limit and not be charged interest for the promotional period. Citicard has one right now for 18 months. No affiliation with them. Just saw the promotion. Say you have a $5000 limit. You pay the $2000 deposit in January. After that you will have 18 months to pay the entire amount without paying interest however you do have to pay the minimum every month. With outstanding balance your budget for February will be $3000. If you go over the limit the interest starts. If you go over the 18 months the interest starts. The interest rate that applies if you abuse the promotion or break any of the terms is higher than the other cards. Obviously this card requires great credit so if you are already in a bunch of credit card debt then it might be difficult to get but wouldn't hurt to try.

Going to be in town tomorrow if (Monday) from Ohio if anyone wants to do dinner.

When is the next interviews going to be this month? Is it Feb 7th?

Not going to lie, I am really frustrated with the NSU admission committee. I have been complete since September, and no word from them. Emailed them several times, no response. Called to check on my status several times, and after being placed on hold for hours, I was told my file is complete. And then they hung up. I wonder if this has happened to anybody. Any suggestions?

I was complete in september too and continue to be told I'm being reviewed. I think it's just a silent rejection.

That sounds very atypical. Anastasia is slow with communication via email but I have always gotten a reply from her even if it was a week later. I have had great luck with calling Linda ferris. When a decision hadn't been made she just said its under review. So if she states that its under review it might very well be the case. Are your numbers comparable to those of people who were accepted? I'd suggest contacting Linda by phone or email. I have only had to wait 24 hours at most.

I agree. Anastasia is the nicest person, but sometimes I do think she is just completely swamped with work and can't get to everything. Linda does seem to be much more likely to reply in a timely manner.

As far as an interview invite, I'm no expert but Nova seems to have certain things they look for and when they see them you get an invite quickly. They have a very high post-interview acceptance rate so they seem to pick only those they are almost sure they will accept. Perhaps there is something in your applications that doesn't quite fit what they're looking for, whatever that may be. I have no idea what your apps look like, so I'm not saying yours is any lesser than others, just not the right "fit" for their criteria.

I was under tha impression that the acceptance packet would have instructions on paying the $1250 fee, but I received mine today and it doesn't have any. Can anybody help me out with this? Did you get a separate email or something in the mail with instructions? thanks!

You should have received a paper titled "NSU-COM: Credit Card Payments via the Internet!" in the packet, it has the instructions you need.

Same here. I call every week and get the same response: "Your file is under review."
Really hope that means it is seriously under review, not just being pocket vetoed....😕

ok, so i interview on 1/24 and have been anxiously refreshing my email about an acceptance.....today, i got an email saying that they were still missing 2 of my transcripts (which I'm pretty sure they should have already had). However, under my "missing documents", it said the deposit amount....does this mean that I've been accepted and they are just waiting on my transcripts?? anyone else have this issue? I still havent received the official acceptance email so I do not want to get my hopes up, but I am calling around like crazy to get my transcripts reissued ASAP!!

It seems like people start finding out whether they are accepted post interview about a week later. Then others find out on a rolling basis.

I think I have really good stats. I have a 29R and 3.6+ cgpa, and publications and lots of shadowing and volunteering. Maybe I'll send them another email.

Instructions on how to pay the deposit is in the blue folder that you should have received at the beginning of interview day. It is part of the "frequently asked questions" packet.

My "missing documents" section didn't show deposit amounts until after my acceptance. It may mean something.
They have not received any of my official transcripts yet, only the info from AACOMAS. So that's probably not a reason not to send out an acceptance email.

After all of the back and forth with NOVA and actually withdrawing my app.... Boom Second interview invite. They just will not take no for answer so I am heading back to Ft Laudy.
Scheduled it for the last date the 21 of March. Lets hope this time it goes better then the last time. Who else is going to be in good old south FLA?

So no interview spots open at all? Or just before you leave the country?
