The Hampton Inn has a shuttle from the airport to the hotel, from the hotel to the school, from the school to the hotel, and the hotel to the airport. All free, but it's nice if you tip the guy. Chino (the driver) was awesome! (Make sure you choose the right Hampton Inn)

Why was this not mentioned on interview day? I know it's still in the works but the students are obviously in the know as they had quotes from nursing students in the article. This could be a deal changer for some people looking into their school.

We were just informed last week. They are still getting signatures from us students to get the certificate. In other words - it won't be happening anytime soon.
 
I still haven't heard anything about getting an interview from nova and I submitted in late july! 29 mcat 3.99 gpa. They can at least reject me lol
 
Damn. For us completed in September, ii invites probably wont come until January then huh.
 
Guys, NSU gets a ton of applications and it's going to take them a while to read through them. Try not to freak out yet, October just started. You've still got time for an II 🙂
 
My interview is in 1.5 months. How do I prepare adequately?
 
Withdrawing my II. For those curious, 5 interview dates open in October and 4 in November.

I worded my post incorrectly. I just meant to emphasize the NSU-HCA discussions on HCA building an on-campus hospital. It would be awesome to have an on-campus hospital with this partnership. I'm really curious to see how fast they can get the necessary permits to start construction, when they intend to open the hospital, and exactly how much support it will be able to provide to our medical students. It appears NSU-COM is finally getting the infrastructure to become a prominent medical institution. Definitely exciting. I'll post whatever they tell us here. I'm glad NSU-COM is heading in this direction, just a little sad I probably won't be around to take advantage of it.

During my interview they discussed how they are excited about it in the future, but like you said, it won't be happening for a while. Definitely after we finish residency.

It is great to establish a legacy in the region for Nova grads though!

How long ago were you guys complete? I was complete on Aug 29 and still haven't heard anything.

Sadly there is no way. I believe if you don't get an II then NSU will just not answer you at all until the end of the cycle. I would send an update if you don't hear anything by November
 
Here is my timeline:
Application verified July 10
Submitted secondary July 18
LORS received August 8
II invite August 16 (ill bet there oct 17)

I think in my case my letters really helped. My MCAT is a 27 I have 3.29 gpa and 3.45sgpa. Hang in there guys!!
 
I just received my verification last week and today an email from NSU-COM. It seems to be an application receipt, but states that I need to complete another application for consideration. Did anyone receive this email? Do I need to wait for the secondary? Thanks!
 
How late is considered late? I'm just about to turn in my primary application this month (October) and my secondary application would be finished before next year sometime early next month November at the latest.
I'm also a FL resident which I don't think makes a difference though.

Let's see what's going to happen tomorrow. Last Friday, no one received an email regarding their 9/19 interview. Perhaps it's tomorrow. Also, no one has received an ii for a while, and this compells me to believe that Nova is re-evaluating the waitlistees.

Tomorrow I'm watching this thread like a hawk 😱

Everything with Nova this year is sooooo interesting. Should we get off the WL and matriculate, I wonder if they will let us know how things were done (differently) this year?

ok, so this means that people who interviewed early and are waitlisted, they will get a decision by nov 8? so in that sense, they still enjoy some benefits of an early application.

Not quite. My guess is every 3 weeks or so they will send out acceptances/WL/rejections for those interviewed. Meaning those who interviewed during the second round will get an email of their status probably on the same day- before nov 8. This friday will be the 3 week mark.

Regarding those already waitlisted (before sept 19 interviews i think?) I'm not sure.

I misunderstood the previous post. Now I realize that they meant that they would get their decision November 8. This does not apply to the people who already interviewed and got waitlisted. My bad.
 
I am sending in my declination of acceptance today. I really hope someone from here gets off the wait list! Good luck to everyone!

What's the deadline for sending this in? Is it the same as the deadline for the deposit?

If you don't send your deposit in by Dec 15th then you just forfeit your seat without giving them an explanation. By sending it in now it gives someone else the chance to get off the WL and have an acceptance sooner.

Interviewing here Tuesday but flying in Saturday, hopefully can spend some time soaking up the sun for a few days, getting nervous
 
Does anyone know if they are friendly to "in the area" emails? I live in Alaska, and flights are ridiculously expensive, so I'd like to consolidate travel and interviews if I can! I'll be in FLL for a couple days around the 12th of November, and then again for a couple days before Thanksgiving, but I don't want to sound pushy or anything!
 
Has anybody gotten any recent ii's? I haven't heard anything from nova. I was complete early Sept.
