There's a chance that that might be it, but I doubt it. My interview went super well, my interviewers even told me that. My MCAT and GPA are pretty solid. I have tons of EC's, etc. Plus, it's not like I was the only one WL'ed in a group where everyone got accepted, so I don't think its just me. Besides, if I'm not what they're looking for, why don't they just flat out reject me and save me the wait and anxiety?

We'll get through this, people. This is a rough and uncertain time for some of us. I'm hoping they pull some of you off that WL early!

Email received yesterday (11/4) mid-afternoon a little after I got an email saying I was missing necessary documents, which gave me a heart attack.Interviewed 10/10.

I love this school!
 
Anyone receive notice yet from october 24th interview??
 
Hoping that means us 10/16 applicants will hear back today or tomorrow, Nov 8th is fast approaching!

I was sitting in class and almost had a heart attack thinking it was my acceptance or wait list decision but it was the missing documents and I was super confused. The missing documents are your official transcript from your undergrad once you graduate! I'm assuming you are accepted right?

Omg thank goodness! I was so confused at first. YES I was accepted!!! I am so excited!! This was my absolute number one pick for medical school so I am SUPER excited!! Anyone know if there's a class of 2018 thread/fbpage/etc?
 
Whats the best number to call and check on the application status at NSU?
 
Congrats! Nova is my first choice too 🙂 I've been accepted since 9/20 eagerly awaiting a class of 2018 fb page or thread, but there's nothing yet to my knowledge. Of course, we could always start one.

I was complete on October 10. When would it be appropriate to contact admissions regarding the status of my application if I don't hear anything?
 
Hello! So I interviewed on Oct 31 and I'm just curious what the wait time has been for people overall. I know some people interviewed in September and JUST found out, but it seems as though those who interviewed in mid-October have also recently learned of their status. When I interviewed, the told us to expect a wait time of 6-7 week. Do you think it will take this long? This puts me in the middle of December, and I have to get back to LECOM-Bradenton and VCOM-CC by December 15. I just am hoping they will maybe get back to me sooner? I would REALLY like to have their decision before I have to put a deposit down elsewhere.
 
Just received a call from NOVA letting me know I submitted all my secondary. Do they usually do that? I got excited at first thinking I got an interview =***(!

Do they notify you if your application is put on hold? They called to let me know that my application was complete on like Aug. 6th. Still waiting to here about an ii....

I'm in the same boat as you, complete in late July and nothing since then. I called admissions yesterday and they told me there had been no change in the status of my file. Hopefully we will both see an ii over the next few weeks, good luck.

Sorry to hear about your long wait times. I've been driving myself crazy over the silence, and I've only been waiting since September!

Years ago, my friend submitted her Nova app in July. After hearing nothing for months, she assumed that she was rejected. In the dead of winter sometime (January I think), she got an II and was eventually admitted. As we have seen here on SDN, interview times do vary-- some of us will hear back within a week, others will hear back within months-- silence doesn't necessarily a rejection. So for now, just remember that, "no news is good news". 😉

Thankfully, if we remain optimistic and persistent, all of us here will eventually get into great schools and will become excellent physicians. Good luck everybody.

I'm trying to be patient, but it's becoming difficult considering the possibility of having to put down another deposit elsewhere. However, I think Nova is just the school I would drop everything and go to regardless of other acceptances, so here's hoping we all get good news soon.
 
From what I'm reading it seems ppl either get accepted or WL post- interview. So at least no one gets rejected post interview.

Has anyone paid the acceptance fee or deposit yet? I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to do it online but don't see anything
 
For those of you that have been accepted, have you received anything else in the mail other than your acceptance letter? Nova had my old address on my letter so I want to make sure I'm not missing anything important..like deposit/orientation details. My address is supposedly updated, but you know how that goes 😛
 
You get just the same letters as in the email plus a cd and a sheet on technical standards and a sheet to fill out if your accepting. No orientation info or a calendar yet.

I have a 3.45s and 3.59c GPA. However, my MCAT scores were 26, 25, and 24 (most recent) and was complete two months ago. I went to a state school in Florida and have lived in the state my whole life. With my MCAT and GPA, should I basically assume I won't get in, let alone an interview?

Was the sheet to fill out the technical standards form? Or is there something additional?
 
The sheet you need to submit is the technical standards sheet and a sheet confirming your acceptance.
 
Now to commence panic mode because I had no idea the mailed packet I didn't get contained stuff I needed to turn in...and I've been accepted since 9/20 :jawdrop: Is anyone else having an impossible time trying to reach anyone at the admissions office? I've been e-mailing and calling for a month and a half now.

Good to hear! I'm planning on eventually creating a section that has tips for classes (i.e. mnemonics for anatomy). Hopefully it will help out future M1's not just at NSU, but other med schools too. We'll see when I actually have time to do all that though 🙄

Do not panic the technical standards just needs to be turned it before you matriculate and the other sheet just shows that your accepting and what method you will pay the deposit with.

No no you can definitely in! I got accepted with a much lower GPA, 30 mcat, tons of ECs, and OOS. What I've learned throughout this process is that you always have a chance so do not assume anything.
 
I am still patiently waiting for an interview! Complete early September
 
2 more days and it will be Nov 8!

Did anyone else get an email this morning about information in setting up your Nova email account? Is this foreshadowing something? 😍

Also, I had a dream last night that I went to Nova with Miley Cyrus, and she was helping me study for anatomy lol :nailbiting::wtf:
 
lol yeah, we were in the lecture hall, and she was teaching me mnemonics and giving me career advice 🙈
 
Has anyone received an ii recently ??? I've been complete since September and haven't heard anything from them. It seems like they gave out a lot of ii early on.
