Also, be prepared to answer those really off the wall questions mentioned in the interview feedback. I got a ton of those. Like the other person said, it is a full day interview.. you're being watched the whole time. And ask questions at the end! Let me know if you have any more questions 🙂

+1 bad cop/cop that didn't say much. 😉 If you have gaps in your application, be very prepared to discuss them! I think more than half of my interview was about negative aspects of my application, but I didn't get phased or defensive and ended up getting accepted. Also seconded on the "whole day is your interview". Be genuine to everyone you meet.

I got accepted here, from Washington State. I don't think they care where you are from.

I'm in-state and drove myself so can't speak on airport transportation/rental cars. I stayed at Staybridge Suites bc they had a Nova interviewee discount. It was fine. Maybe 10 min from school. Definitely would suggest finding the parking garage and building the night before if you drive yourself. We had some people in our group late to interview bc parking confusion

I ended up just renting a car so I wouldn't stress about getting there on time. I found a good deal for the rental so it was pretty cheap. I stayed at the La Quinta and it was a quick drive to campus, no traffic really.

Not 100% sure. Our interview day was about 50-50 IS/OOS split I would say. I do know that the tuition is slightly lower for IS which I thought was odd since it's a private institution. LECOM B does the same thing though. Maybe someone could offer clarification on this?

Is the class full? II today, but the only interview date I saw available was in March, late in March. I have deposits due before then... should I call and see if they have any earlier dates? Wait to see if one opens up? I don't want to fly out, get a hotel, etc... if the class is full, but I would love to go here so it is tempting.
 
II today! NC resident Lizzy M 64. There's only one interview date left, so if you also got an invite today I'd recommend you act on it...
 
Does this school reject? Have heard literally nothing and I applied back in July..

I think they really are holistic though. I was shocked to get II this late in cycle with a 502 MCAT and like 3.4 sGPA but interviewers commented on strength of personal statement and LORs. Don't give up hope

Does anyone know if they reference that small essay they made us write in their secondary during the interview? Trying to look back on their website to find it but the portal only lets me view a summary of my secondary. Any help would be appreciated!
 
If anyone plans on cancelling their interview lmk... Not too fond of this late March date lol

I dont remember any small essay. It was an easy 2ndary, that's all I know

So excited for this one. Thank goodness flights are cheap to ft lauderdale. This interview season is getting wicked expensive...

I stalked the site. There was one open on the 14th yesterday that I couldn't make. That was taken by the end of the day yesterday. I refreshed constantly today and after several tries a date came open for a sooner interview date (very much sooner though I prefer not to dox myself too badly by giving too many specifics about all my interviews), and I chose that one over the March date. I would just try refreshing a lot - but the site makes it seem like if you have two interview dates, the first one you make counts, so I would call to change rather than just schedule another one.
 
I completed my secondary app in Sept, and still have not heard anything. I called again today, and was told my app is still pending. I am not sure how I feel about this....any thoughts?
 
For those wondering, a friend of mine got a pre-interview rejection in the mail. If you haven't gotten a letter in the mail, I would assume you're still active. If it were me, I'd call and check! Phone calls > emails
 
^ was your friend OOS? I feel like they silent reject in-state applicants to be "nice"
 
Is there an actual acceptance email that comes later? I'm confused about how to put down deposit, etc

Yea I've seen a couple spots open up next week but that's way too soon... I also haven't seen the late March date fill up yet. Did you delete your initial spot before requesting the other one?

I'll call on Monday, but I'm hoping someone with experience can chime in... I'm married with 3 kids. We're looking at housing down there and it's really quite expensive for us. Wife doesn't work, we'll be living %100 on loans. Anyone know how much a student who's married with kids will get to live on? Any chance of having financial aid processed before school starts to help us move down there from TN? Stressing pretty bad about how to handle that side of things. I'm also accepted here at LMU-DCOM, but we think NOVA is a genuinely better school and worth the move if we can make it happen. THANKS!

Any out of staters looking at apartments yet? Seems that the popular ones signature and palm ranch have terrible reviews. Anybody find any good ones yet?

Only some classes are required. They are Humanism in Medicine, OPP Lecture/Lab, Clinical Reasoning, Physical Diagnosis Lecture/Lab, and other labs. All lectures are recorded, but sometimes there are problems with recordings. The recording system kinda sucks.
