So I wanted to know people's opinion on both schools. Price of going to both schools will be similar (NYU being lil higher and plus cost of living there). But other than that, just comparing the education and opportunity from both schools. thanks!

Cost of living in NYC should be no higher, and possibly lower with the subsidized student housing, than Philadelphia...no opinion on which school you should choose, but make sure you are comparing apples to apples if the cost is a major factor.

NYU. Better reputed school, better opportunities (research, away rotations at other NYC schools, NYC connections, crazy **** at Bellevue), better location.

whiteorgo, did you just get off the waitlist at NYU?

haha yes i did, i'm mostly leaning towards nyu, but just wanted to hear some opinions.

I was accepted at both schools and will be attending Jefferson. I was actually unimpressed with NYU from the interview day; didn't really get a good feeling about the school. Overall, Jeff was a better fit for me.

CONGRATS!!!

Thats awesome news!

In my opinion both schools are wonderful. You really can't go wrong, so I would base my decision on location. NYU is ranked higher, so if you are one of those ppl who put a lot of emphasis on that than NYU might be a better fit.

But, again in my opinion, New York City is pretty friggin awesome. (I live in the geographical midpoint between Philly and NYC). I say if NYU subsidizes housing go there bc you'll never have the opportunity to live so cheaply in New York City again. And living in NYC is really an unparalled experience. Plus the sheer number of amazing hospitals there is also enticing.
