Does anyone have a list handy of which programs are left to send out invites?
Did anyone else not realize that it says online that Children's Hospital of Michigan doesn't participate in MATCH?
I would prepare to answer basic interview questions like your strength, weaknesses. If you’ve been working before applying then they might ask why are you choosing to go back to residency.1- Does anyone know anything about bronxcare ??
2- is there a thread about interview questions ? How do you prepare for an interview ?
Yes, you are right because I sent them email before applying and I have 1year GPR. They told me that I cannot apply if I have already GPR. However, they donot mention any reason and why they donot consider applicants with GPR.I know it’s late and irrelevant at this point but I noticed Brookdale says they do not consider applicants with GPRs? Am I misunderstanding something? Is this normal ?

It has to do with funding. When you enter you'd be considered a PGY-2 since your GPR was PGY-1. There are some programs where they don't have funding for you to be considered a PGY-3 I believe.I know it’s late and irrelevant at this point but I noticed Brookdale says they do not consider applicants with GPRs? What are people's thoughts about having to PAY to do pediatric residency? Some of the programs I am considering have heavy tuition money and either no stipend or very little stipend. Is it worth it? I always assumed that I would get paid during residency but am now realizing how expensive it can be to pay tuition at some of these programs and how much more loans I would accumulate.
Just an FYI to everyone applying to NYU Langone programs - the stipends are all being decreased to start at $50000. I believe 2nd year the stipend will be 53k.
$64k. Really a huge bummer bc they changed it after we had all already submitted our appsWhat was the stipend before this change?
nope.Anyone have any news about Jacobi, Wyckoff, or Woodhull?
By news you mean invites? Because they sent out around 3 weeks ago!nope.
Does anyone know if LSU usually informs those they are planning to rank?
I am not sure. I have not heard from any programs so im hoping not lolIs that actually a thing with programs?
If they offer you a position, you typically only have a week or so to accept, from what I've heard. Once you accept the position, you are required to withdraw from the Match system. Otherwise, you can decline the position and remain in the Match pool. It's a tricky situation if you're offered a spot, and I wish you the best if they reach out to you! Was it Children's Michigan? I declined to interview there mainly because of that very issue: if they offered me a spot, I don't think I would accept it because it isn't anywhere near my top choice for a program for personal reasons, and it would invalidate all the other interviews I invested time and money into that I felt were successful.I need some advice! I interviewed on Friday at a Non-Match program. I thought my interview went pretty well and they said they'll let us know if we have a position within the next 2 weeks or so (way before Match). My dilemma is: if I get the position, do I have to withdraw from Match? I've had a few more interviews that I think went okay and planning on ranking them. I don't know what to do.
Also, do other programs seem to really sell their program to attract more applicants? I feel like on Friday all they talked about was how amazing the program is but then they only have 2 full-time faculty for 8 residents and no other specialists besides pedo on staff (no endo, no ortho, no OS), not to mention that the health system they're affiliated with has a reputation of losing GME accreditation for medical residencies.
