**Official 2022 Peds PASS/Interviews/Match/Non-Match**

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Has anybody heard if interviews have been offered from the following:

NYU Langone - Maryland
NYU Langone - Massachusetts
NYU Langone - Rhode Island
Primary Children's Hospital
*St. Josephs Regional Medical Center
*Staten Island University Hospital
*University of Puerto Rico
University of Rochester
University of Texas - San Antonio

The ones with (*) are programs that have no history on any of the previous threads about when invites were sent out. The ones without (*) are programs that, in past years, already offered interviews much earlier than this point. Primary Children's sent out rejections so we know that invites were already sent out.

Any information helps 🙂

I didn't apply to these programs but I thought I would ask so I can keep this program list as accurate as possible.

The NYU Langone programs will send out rejection letters if they decide not to interview you in early November. Each program site will send out their own generic rejection. Most invitations for NYU Langone interviews will be done by the end of October so if it’s not posted on SDN and those rejections emails have gone out it is safe to say interview invites are completed already.

Did anyone get a confirmation email after accepting the interview invitation from Nemours?

“The Admissions Team has finished processing your application. Your application is complete and ready for review by the Pediatric Dentistry program. For international applicants such as yourself, application decisions are made during the winter semester - typically after Match results have been announced for domestic applicants. The Pediatric Dentistry program is responsible for all interview invitations. If you are selected for an interview, the Pediatric Dentistry Department will contact you directly. We appreciate your patience”

This email was sent by University of Michigan when I first applied. Does this mean that internationals shouldn’t expect invitations to be sent now?

The email from Harvard, thought it was an invitation but wasn’t 🤭 did everyone receive it?

They said that invitations will be sent on Nov 5th, and the interview will be on Dec 3rd

I think it was a generic application completer email! 🤦🏽‍♀️

Is anyone else super anxious about interviews? Is there such thing as "safe" numbers of interviews to match? I am starting to get worried!

Here is the gist of the presentation my program gave based on the National Match Applicant Survey:

Average amount of peds programs applied to: 14
Average interview offers received: 4.5
Average ranks submitted: 4

% Matched that submitted 0-3 ranks: 56%
% Matched that submitted 4-6 ranks: 87%
% Matched that submitted 7-9 ranks: 93%

Keep in mind that the 0-3 ranks includes everyone that did not receive a single interview and brings that %age down.

I'd say "safe" is like 4+ ranks submitted?

Here is the actual PDF from Dental Match

Thank you! This process is so overwhelming!

Why would they even include people who submitted 0 ranks? Lol

Indiana University (email sent 10/6) - virtual interview 11/12 or 11/15

(Sorry this is a week late - I took a week off from checking SDN for my own sanity, ha ha - and I just assumed that somebody else had posted about this interview!)

Can anyone here describe what kind of questions were asked? I'm sure the variety is wide amongst different schools.

If I haven’t received any correspondence from a school that has already sent interview invites/rejections, should I assume that I am also getting rejected?
Just trying to quell my anxiety. I just need closure!

That’s seemingly the worst part of this process is that no one actually knows the answer to that question. There’s been a few posts about second round calls and e-mails. So…maybe? Maybe not?? 😂 I feel like I helped you A LOT. Now off to clinic for another day of incessantly checking my phone between patients!
Don’t worry you’re not alone 😊

Man, I was just counting and only about half of the programs have offered interviews so far. That means that there is a ton happening in the next three weeks! We've got this!

USC - Email 10/12 - virtual interviews 11/4, 11/11, 11/18, 12/2, 12/9

Children’s Hospital Wisconsin phone call 10/11 email to follow with interview dates.

anyone heard from Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago for anything at all? I haven't even gotten a confirmation that they received the check I sent out earlier on.

Got a "all interviews have been offered. Good luck with your future endeavors" email from Cincinnati...

It sounded a lot like a rejection email but I was offered an interview... I was freaking out. A friend from my program was also offered one and called after getting the email and was told "if you received an interview then that email doesn't mean anything. Another email will come with information about the interview".

Just wanted to post here in case anybody else was freaking out

St. Barnabas Hospital(NY) sent rejection today, interviews are probably coming!
