Lol, but I figure that there's nothing objectionable anywhere on my record anyway, so it's not like they can ding me just for not remembering all of my 3 million previous addresses. They say "ALL," but do they really care where I was living when I was seven? I also didn't put in the date ranges for them because as I went back in time I could not remember things like did I move out of that apartment in July of 2003 or August of 2003. I just had to let all that **** go.

On my finalized report, the date ranges of each address were not listed. So no worries.

Addresses are of little importance. They are looking for things that would prevent you from gaining a license. I think the addresses help them in regard to which counties/states to look in for infractions...but again, I assume that they are more than capable of finding this information by themselves should you be uncertain (as a house number was filled in for me).
 
Maybe a dumb question, but I lived out of the country for 5 months for a study abroad in college way back in 2010...do I need to list that address as part of my background check?
Edit: I'd rather not list it if I don't have to...the country is know for terrible bureaucracy and has fallen into a bit of political turmoil.

At the address section there is a drop-down list to select the country, so it seems like they would expect you to list it. If you still have the address you might as well.

I remember last year there were times that I hoped something would pop up to save me. I'm glad it was clean. It was pre-matric jitters and I couldn't be happier. Good luck guys and gals!

I just submitted mine last night and was getting really nervous. I've never even had a speeding ticket though lmao. I think it's the same reaction as freaking out when you see a cop even if you're not doing anything illegal.
 
Is it normal that I have not received the background check email yet? I received multiple acceptances in the fall.

Is it? In the Grand Canyon they specifically say not to, and to go in the river... we also "bathed" in the river for a multi day trip. So... ya.

It was a flawless bait and switch. Nietzsche would have never been accepted into any type of principled institution. But his barber? Nice touch.

In the Amazon there are certain parasites that detect the urea and swim upstream into the urethra and borrow in making a home. I would avoid peeing in rivers if possible.

I haven't responded yet either. I kinda feel meh as well , mostly apathetic about everything. Not sure if I should see a doctor.

Yeah I feel meh. Maybe because I can't feel excited until I have the one place, with financial package, living arrangement figured out. Until then everything is still up in the air, so nothing to focus on really.

Plus, life calls.

I'm actually intentionally waiting to do it. I heard from an MS4 in the UWash thread that it needs to be renewed every two years and only the first one is free so if you do it too early you risk having to get a third one done towards the end of MS4

Literally this. It's nice to have an acceptance, but hard to relax and enjoy it when everything is still so uncertain and can change any day. So much for having a relaxing, laid back gap year

I know Exactly what that feels like! I like my job and it pays well but ever since I got accepted the only thought that lingers in my brain is "This shall not be your future so there's no need to impress anyone, these people are not your friends, this will not be your career, embrace and focus on the journey ahead!"... Which is why I'm wasting time on SDN (it helps me fantasize) 🙄

Completely agree. However, try your best to do your best!! You never know if your colleagues might reappear in your life later on, or if you might need a letter of rec in the future...

I type this as I'm ready to shove everything off my desk, screaming "I'M OUT!! BYE FELICIA!!"

🤣 That's the only thing that helps me keep my composure! Only 5/6 more Months to go, at which point I'll try to find out if someone at my company is named Felicia and if so, I'll go and tell her (or him) bye.
