What do you all plan on having for your desk setup?

I'm thinking either this

Or this

Those look super nice. I'm considering getting a standing desk, have you ever tried one?

That's tough. I think I like the wood better. Where are you finding these? I'm looking for a desk too.

Hey guys I notice schools talk about laptop allowance as part of the budget. So does that mean if you wanted to do that you have to wait until disbursement after school starts to use it, or you can buy it before and get reimbursed.

Note: not talking about budgets that just account for "other" school related charges like personal expenses. More referring to the ones that have you fill out a requisition form for the charge.

You have to wait until money gets dispensed. One time purchase up to 3K.

Can't the eye not track more than 60Hz? I've always thought it was redundant after that.

Nope. It certainly makes a difference when playing FPS games for me

Nope, I found it and sent her a pic and she liked the white one the most so I'm most likely going to get it.
Wait are you saying that her opinion means more than a random internet stranger? I'm hurt

How though? How would your brain be able to interpret something refreshing faster than its own maximum refresh rate? Isn't that the limiting factor? Am I super misinformed?

so the monitor I have currently is 144 hz. That means I can get over 250 fps. idk the specifics of how it works but you can definitely tell a difference between 30 fps, 60 fps, and 100+ fps

If I watch Archer one more time, my family will throw me out. But Lana man, Lana Kane has me questioning my sexuality.

I blew quite a few bucks on some Jordan 1's as a celebration... my tuition be damned.

Technically, shoes are a means of transport. You could have chosen to buy a car but you decided to cut back and opt for a cheaper means of transport. So, I think you did great considering.

Perspective, perspective. It is key 😉

Looking for advice for writing an email to try and get $$ from a school.
Some background:
School #1 is one I personally loved, but is far away and not great for my SO, tuition is $58k.
School #2 is my alma mater, but because I moved out of state for 1.5 years my tuition is $70k for all four years :bang: instead of $35k. This school is close to family, friends and better for my SO's career. I'm still a little peeved that I can't get instate tuition seeing as I paid taxes there last year.

Anyways, is a simple email telling them my situation (ie I'd rather go to your school, but the tuition breaks my heart) enough, or do I need to send them more specifics (I heard something about screen shots of the other school's tuition). Is it better to email after financial aid is awarded, or do it before so they can potentially take my situation into account?

When does financial aid come out for each school?

When does financial aid come out for each school?
From what I gather after poking around SDN, financial aid come out late March/April for school #2 and could be anytime from now until after April 30 for school #1
