Does Columbia need ADAT...
Does Columbia need ADAT...
today?Apparently UF has sent out interviews, heard it from a resident
Cant 🫠🫠This was probably asked before but can you/should you reuse letters of rec next cycle?
Yesterday
My friend is interviewing on July 1 or 2 in Ohio. So I think they're for sure correct.Did anyone actually get an Ohio or Florida interview? Or is this speculation.
ahah bro I'm sorry, just had to be sure! ThanksBro for one sec I thought they sent interviews at 11 pm when I got the notification of your post…
And to answer your question No, they don’t for this cycle
same, out of sight out of mind. I'll deal with that once I'm an endo lolI have a genuine question. I have over half a million in student debt. I'm in my early 30's. Going to a non-paid school will easily set me back close to 900K in debt. What are you guys doing if you're in my shoes and also, what is your debt balance/how are you managing the potential tuition for endo?
I would pay some of it then maybe apply again. The interest will be insane! I mean do you like endo that much to be in 900K !!I have a genuine question. I have over half a million in student debt. i always have issues when trying to search these forums. If anyone can forward some lists? or past Qs?The only info on schools you’ll get is from interview day or speaking to residents. They will ask why do you want to come here and you have to pick things up that you’ve heard and articulate it well like good clinical exposure, no shortage of patients, family atmosphere ect
Look up questions on old endo forums and review them well. I got asked how I would handle conversation about separated file, tell me a time you worked as a team, tell me a time you worked with other specialties on a case, tell me a time you disagreed with a faculty on a case/learning experience with a faculty. You need a story bank in the back of your head and just ready to fire if the question brushes on an aspect of the story
Hi everyone, is it too late to apply to programs if they've already started sending out interview invitations?

Based on my experience from last cycles, West Virginia University sends out invites in july.Anybody heard back from West Virginia, Buffalo, Nebraska, Louisville or Iowa?
Most programs you get a a decent amount of exposure - more exposure if you want more endos.Does someone knows what GPRs offer lots of Endo exposure. My plan B is to do a GPR.
This is to all of you applying with crazy loansI have a genuine question. I have over half a million in student debt. I'm in my early 30's. Going to a non-paid school will easily set me back close to 900K in debt. What are you guys doing if you're in my shoes and also, what is your debt balance/how are you managing the potential tuition for endo?
Yes I am talking about ortho tho..Many endo's ive talked to still say it's worth it, and it's an easier route to get into than OMFS or anesthesia where you have to spend 6 months+ preparing for the CBSE
That's messed up if trueI know for a fact that Tennessee has already interviewed candidates. I know someone who has interviewed there. (I'm pretty sure that he interviewed on June 6)
I know it's true because I saw them interview there. The students told me they were interviewing for ENDO.That's messed up if true
Just personality questions, general interview questionsAnyone would like to share there Interview experience, if done already ?
Thank you
Would you please share some of the questions?Just personality questions, general interview questions
These are basic questions. Why do you want to do endo? Why should we choose you over anyone else? What are your strengths and weaknesses? How many cases have you done? Tell me about yourself.Would you please share some of the questions?
How do you answer "why should we choose you over anyone else?"These are basic questions. Why do you want to do endo? Why should we choose you over anyone else? What are your strengths and weaknesses? How many cases have you done? Tell me about yourself.
Are you a potato? Use it as a chance to talk yourself up. I know this forum is here to help, but for crying out loud we can’t do everything. Some of you guys just want the stuff spoonfed to you instead of actually doing any sort of research or preparation. How do you answer "why should we choose you over anyone else?"
It's a hard question when you become your own harshest critic. The cycle can grind you down into a cynic and you forget what makes you special. Sometimes you get questions that make you doubt your own existence too. A kid asked me the other day why I liked water when it has no flavor and it actually made me pause for a second when I couldn't think of any redeeming characteristics on the spotAre you a potato? Use it as a chance to talk yourself up. I know this forum is here to help, but for crying out loud we can’t do everything. Some of you guys just want the stuff spoonfed to you instead of actually doing any sort of research or preparation.
These are some good funny innovative Q's. I wonder if they are made up or people actually ask em 🙂Some sample interview questions to help you all out:
- If you were an endodontic file, what size and taper would you be, and why?
- How would you perform an apicoectomy using only floss, a paperclip, and a root tip pick?
- Rank the following by how much they stress you out: gutta-percha stuck mid-canal, losing your loupes, or running into your ex at a CE course.
- You’ve been shrunk to the size of a #10 K-file and broke inside a curved MB2 canal. How do you escape?
- You’re trapped on a deserted island. You can only bring one: your microscope, your obturation system, or your assistant. Explain.
- Describe your most traumatic experience with a rubber dam.
- If endodontics were a romantic comedy, what role would you play?
- Would you rather: miss your apex by 2mm or overfill by 4mm… permanently documented on Instagram by a salty referring dentist?
- If you had to fight one endodontic instrument in a cage match, which would you choose and why?
You should definitely talk about your strengthsHow do you answer "why should we choose you over anyone else?"
Quality over quantity. But around 200-300 ? and around 20 surgeriesHow many RCTs and surgical cases consider as reasonable & good amount after endo residency graduation? 150 ? 300 RCTs ? 10 , 25 surgeries??
Obviously the more the better.
Just one thing in my mind to compare between programs ?
