Hi question for you all, is it important at all to bring a portfolio of cases you have done to your interview? Is it worth bringing anything at all other than yourself? CV? Resume? Photos?
We will see very quickly what is worth the money as far as education goes lolHow is everybody feeling about this “Big Beautiful Bill” for student loans that just got passed by the senate? It would cap grad student loans at $200,000. I already have a little more than that so I guess I would be looking at private loans for endo residency?? That scares me
1st go?Dang Im pretty much done haha. I got two more schools left so maybe and hopefully they can come in clutch!
Enjoy the 4th guys!

Did they send out today? So do we think NYU has sent out all of their interview invites already? I know they have 11 positions.
They sent another round of interview invites today for July 15Does anyone know if NYU has sent out offers? And if they sent out third batch for interviews?
That’s a struggle I wish I hadJust out of curiosity, how people handle if multiple interviews are on same date
I see a lot of them are happening in middle of July
I actually did have that struggle two years ago and still sometimes wonder—what if I’d gone to the other one? That’s a struggle I wish I had
My third time either, but if i don’t get it this time I’m all tapped out (i literally don’t know what new things to work on my resume)… will move on in life.I actually did have that struggle two years ago and still sometimes wonder—what if I’d gone to the other one?
Now I’m applying for the third time. They say third time’s the charm. Still trying. Still hopeful.
I can take the good luck wish lolRejection email from MUSC today. At least that's what I think it is.

I thought you can borrow up to 50 K / year. Total 200 K for professional as a new borrower, they won’t take into account what you have borrowed before !How is everybody feeling about this “Big Beautiful Bill” for student loans that just got passed by the senate? So the max one can borrow for endo residency is 100k? (For 2 yr program)I thought you can borrow up to 50 K / year. Total 200 K for professional as a new borrower, they won’t take into account what you have borrowed before !
i am sure applicants number will drop drastically because of this bill!
The max you can borrow for ALL professional programming (including d school) is 200kSo the max one can borrow for endo residency is 100k? (For 2 yr program)
I don’t think this is true. I believe it’s 200K all time. So anyone who took out loans for dental school already will have nothing for residency. Are people thinking of dropping out of the running for residency? Private loans are so predatory and have insane interest rates.I thought you can borrow up to 50 K / year. yesAnyone know if UNC has sent invites yet?
Damn! There goes my last hope.UNC invite: july 16
How much interest is high? Federal is at 5-7% !!I don’t think this is true. I believe it’s 200K all time. So anyone who took out loans for dental school already will have nothing for residency. Way higher. Average Personal Loan Interest Rates in May 2025 | BankrateHow much interest is high? Federal is at 5-7% !!
i believe….Yes dropping and definitely not applying again!
Yes average 12% ! Very high. If you are qualified…Then residency programs need to lower tuition and That’s not going to happen soon.
Depends on the program. Most programs only send one, larger programs may send out multiple.A question for fellow applicants who have applied multiple cycles, do programs generally send out multiple interviews or just one?
If my old program director wanted you and you were a fourth year, he would tell you to go to the VA and then guarantee your spot the following year. I don’t know if that happens anymore with other programs, but I would not waste a year or two. Even with a GPR, it doesn’t guarantee anything and I doubt at this point you would learn much. The only promise would be lost income.does it make sense to go back to GPR when 3 years post grad? I know programs value a gpr, but does anyone see a clinical benefit to this when considering sacrificing private practice pay and experience?
Uconn sent emails last weekAny new updates from West Virginia, UConn, or UAB?
Cool! one down 😀Uconn sent emails last week
No. A bathing suit and flip flops would be more appropriate.Best attire for an interview? Suit and tie for guys?
