I am an Ohio resident and I have been fortunate enough to have been accepted into both the university of Cincinnati and the Ohio state university. I am super conflicted about which school is the best fit, and I am looking for any possible input. Here are specific lists as far as what I like/dislike about each school:

Ohio state:
-large, well known program with tons of research $$
-large expansions including a brand new cancer hospital set to open in 2014
- in my hometown of Columbus
- brand new curriculum. I will be in only the second class to have this curriculum, not sure if this is a good or bad thing
-part of the largest undergraduate population in the country
-class size of about 200
- almost 50% of class matches into primary care

Cinci
- smaller school, newer facilities for med student teaching
- similar curriculum to osu (from what I can tell)
- further away from home, but closer to where all of my undergraduate friends will be- more of a social support system from day 1
- though not as large as osu, still offers great research opportunities.
- I get the vibe that cinci is not quite as safe as Columbus

So from these lists I have concluded that there are no glaring differences in these schools. Tuition would be similar at both and both have good average step 1 scores. So far i have concluded I can be successful at either I just have to go with my gut. No idea what my gut is saying though so if anyone has any extra insights to these schools I would really appreciate any help!! Thank you!

I know this thread has been dead for a while, but I'm curious as to what people think of this. Everyone around me thinks the world of Cincinnati, though I'm still trying to figure out what would distinguish its program from OSU (which I have considered better in opportunities). Is it simply the name association with the pediatrics program? Thoughts?
