Whoops! My bad.No we are both waiting to hear back when the interview will be.
In the past orientation activities for 1st years began the 1st week in August. Officially school for the class of 2018 began on 8/11/2014 and the white coat ceremony was on 8/9/14. I'd plan for something similar until you hear official word.Does anyone know when the first day of class is for 2015-2016? I tried looking on the website but it only had the calendar dates for 2013 and 2014.
Have you heard anything yet?I'm getting anxious to hear something..I have to buy airfare, and arrange for a sub and all of that. I hope we find out soon!!
Am I the only one that has a hard time believing they have 126/140 seats confirmed?waitlisted
Edit: Feb 21st interview they said 126/140 seats were confirmed.

So if they have no plans of expanding the class from 140 seats, they are basically going to wait list/reject a large group of March interviewees?
Keep in mind that it could mean 126 people have paid deposits (as I, and many others, have). I'd imagine a good portion of us are still waiting to hear back from other schools before this cycle concludes. I would venture to guess that there will be a significant amount of movement on the waitlist around May when all of the other schools send out their final decisions.Am I the only one that has a hard time believing they have 126/140 seats confirmed?

Nope.Have you heard anything yet?
Me neither....just looked at the email from Hope I thought it said next week (meaning this week) but it does say in about a week they'd lets us know.Nope.
We are both pre-interview who's status was updated to interview, but with no date set or available.I haven't been formally told anything yet, but my portal got updated with my status.
Oops. Sorry. We are both pre-interview who's status was updated to interview, but with no date set or available.
No worries, just was clarifying in case anyone else is in the same boat.Oops. Sorry.
Normally these threads would be blowing up with excitement right now. Maybe they're just doing all the rejections/WL first and giving the calls later.Any acceptances?

I have faith they will get to us. It is so hard to be patient. 🙂Me neither....just looked at the email from Hope I thought it said next week (meaning this week) but it does say in about a week they'd lets us know.
Man I feel really stupid. I mean I knew the White Coat Ceremony was the 15th, but for the life of me I could not find anywhere that talked about the first day of school. When are you guys going to be moving in? I was thinking the last week of July, but now knowing that school starts so late, I may not be moving in till 1st week of August. Any thoughts? In response to previous questions about start dates, I stumbled upon this today: http://www.pnwu.edu/students/new-students/
White Coat Ceremony is August 15, 2015 and first day of class is August 17, 2015
I interviewed back in Oct. and they gave us a breakdown of typical interview cycles, and they did say that typically the last interview(s) of the cycle are predominantly for WL/deferment slots. However, as others have mentioned, there is quite a bit of transience in the "accepted" list and WL wouldn't be surprised at all to see 20-30 people drop out of the "accepted" list and have just as many pulled up from the WL. Waiting for the final word would be torture though. I'm sorry.Am I the only one that has a hard time believing they have 126/140 seats confirmed?

My current lease is through May, so I'll be moving then. My parents live in the area, so I'll likely stay with them if I haven't found a place yet. I'll just be working all summer so it shouldn't be too big of a deal. But yeah, it might be nice to acclimate to a new place before school starts. Wouldn't want the stress of having to set up a new place while also worrying about academics.Man I feel really stupid. Few people touched on the board scores topic earlier. As far as I know, they don't publish the data on their website the same way they did during the interview. You can still see the match list as well as the % pass rate I believe. As far as comparing board scores at different schools, it's not a very fair comparison a lot of the time. You have so many variables to account for, and ultimately it will be 95% you as the student who will decide how well you perform on the boards. Any school will provide you with the proper material (or else they wouldn't be an accredited school) and it's up to you to utilize it to the best of your ability.I recently was accepted as well! I'm wondering where to find information from the session they gave. Specifically, board exam results from the previous years and match stats for the previous years as well. Any idea so I can crunch numbers and compare schools?
I think that is something the is under realized by most pre-meds. It's really going to come down to how well you prepare. Although I think that for a school as new as PNWU, they are most likely very focused on doing everything THEY can to help you. The first few years of a school are very determinate in it's long term success and if they want to be as successful as their goals strive for, they need to have some good numbers. I don't think they are going to leave it all up to the students to pump out the good results they want. They will be really pushing all of us to succeed and will be willing to help us.Few people touched on the board scores topic earlier. Hmm...still waiting here. Have you heard anything? I'm not sure if I should email about it or just continue being patient?Me neither....just looked at the email from Hope I thought it said next week (meaning this week) but it does say in about a week they'd lets us know.
Yeah still waiting too...I would really like to plan this out sooner rather than later. I figured we'd hear by now.Hmm...still waiting here. Have you heard anything? I'm not sure if I should email about it or just continue being patient?
I'm in the same boat. Though it seems all the spots have been filled and we would be interviewing for the wait list.Yeah still waiting too...I would really like to plan this out sooner rather than later. I figured we'd hear by now.
You are waiting for an interview or to schedule? Teach and I have both had status set to interview and were told we would hear about the interview info soon.I'm in the same boat. Though it seems all the spots have been filled and we would be interviewing for the wait list.
+1!!!I just got the email!!!!!!
Thanks for those responses. I just got called by VCOM-CC, who also gave me an offer of admission, but after reviewing http://www.vcom.edu/outcomes/#26 and http://www.pnwu.edu/students/residency-information/residency-match/ I think it makes sense to go to PNWU. I got a better feeling there in general, but aside from my "feelings", they're doing great on paper. Further, PNWU brings you back in your third year to prep for boards. VCOM doesn't. The anatomy lab structure seems a bit more logical, with groups/teams of four changing each month(-ish?) as well as moving bodies. If I'm not mistaken, VCOM students stay on the same body throughout the year. Plus, it's the Rockies so enough said there. Do these reasons seem logical in favor of going to PNWU over VCOM-CC?
I got the email too. I think the March date would be better, but I don't want to buy a plane ticket then have to change. I may wait a few days and see if anything changes before spending much more money...+1!!!
But March is their last interview date...I got the email too. I think the March date would be better, but I don't want to buy a plane ticket then have to change. I may wait a few days and see if anything changes before spending much more money...
They actually added an April date. But March is their last interview date...
Yes, that's what I'm doing. I'll keep an eye on fares. Also, I think I'm just going to fly into Seattle (I'm coming from AK) and then drive, since the layover in the airport would be longer than the drive.I got the email too.
