Ugh, the Nether is a miserable place! Keeping my mouth shut today was almost impossible... especially now that I see that you were all played by a dang wolf all day long. OH.... do I have a lot to say now!

Did no one think that there was maybe something potentially wolfy about the way Dy went down when she was being lynched yesterday? Or about how she was able to steal someone's ability to survive that lynch?

I'd be able to feel a little more vindicated about telling her off for those antics last night, if I weren't so frustrated at a lot of you for almost lynching the only person I could 100% trust. While I had to sit and watch, unable to say boo about it.

Also, I'm a trifle irked at you, KC. I mean, I read the reasons for why you killed Ally, and they do make a kind of sense... but I can't help but feel like Dy provoked that and that by going along with it you helped the wolves. That is exactly what she was trying to manipulate us into doing. Actually, I think she wanted us to lynch Ally today, but by night killing her, you did them a solid... making it easier for us to lynch yet another one of our own today.

And, so, we lost our tracker, too. That just takes the whole freaking cake.

At least you didn't kill PBC, or tie it up on her. That just made me sick to my stomach. She's like the one person in the game that I have absolute confidence in, and who I know has my back.

Yeah, she finally got her collar. From me. And that doesn't make her a freaking wolf.
 
And before anybody else gets the great idea to say that maybe I'm the dang wolf again, let me just lay it all out there:

I'm Minecraft Steve. My power was that I could reach out to "tameable" Minecraft roles and, if they were amenable, open a PM with them. Taming WZ turned her from a neutral ocelot into a Village Cat, who could sleep on people's beds to see if they got up to mischief in the night.

I also tamed the "wolf" PBC. I think that me taming her locked out the potential that she can be converted otherwise, so you're welcome for that. There is more to it than that, of course, that assures me that she is village. So, can we please not lynch her willy nilly next time I get sucked into the Nether where I can't speak for her? Damn.

I was using it to check out people I didn't trust. So, I used it on Abs, and Jil, but it didn't work. It did get shorted out by an electrical spark when I tried it on Jil the same night that she was killed, and I don't think that it works anymore. Not that I think there are likely any roles left in the game that I could connect with, if I wanted to.

I kind of wondered, but I've had an ability stealing role in two previous games and I was a villager both times so that alone wasn't incriminating for me.

I wasn't really sure whether she was going to go down as a villager or a wolf. It definitely occurred to me that she could be a wolf but I was pretty on the fence and it seemed easier to just not worry about her because either way she was going to die. It was well played though. She nearly had me convinced.

Pbc agreed with my ally kill and i was the one fighting to save her today you may have noticed. I also did not out your relationship with her despite knowing about it. And my kill of ally saved us a wasted lynch of someone we could never trust by her own admission. Yes today was also a mislynch but we could have lynched a wolf. Wasting a day mislynching ally gives the wolves an extra night to kill so no, i don't agree with your logic there.

Okay, if I ever have to go back to the Nether, I think I will lose what little is left of my sanity. I was SOOO good, too. I didn't make a peep, not even a like on any threads until the cat racing around on the bed gif.

A little off-topic, but I wonder what's with the canes/walking sticks in the illustrations? There was one on the STL/creeper writeup, and now this one.

That sort of thing isn't off topic at all.

I've been saying all along that I don't think we are paying nearly enough attention to the background of this game. I get that we have to hunt wolves and lynch each other in bad lynches... but I feel like things would go better for village if we were paying a little more attention to the setting.

The world had been going mad all evening. The nearby tide rose and fell, burying the home in water then abruptly disappearing. Tree trunks fragmented and floated free, and it wasn't even worth mentioning the weirdly fishy, oddly face-like figure stationed near the front door.

As his crafting table broke into eight cubic pieces then reassembled itself during use, the man gave up being particularly productive last night. Instead, he gave an encore of his performance the previous day and enjoyed a delightful bowl of rabbit - @kcoughli - stew. She had been sleeping, kicking slightly as she dreamed uncomfortably regretful dreams, when he walked up and snapped her tiny neck.

Thankfully everything was back to normal in the morning.

Well, now I just feel sick.

I figured that after my outburst, I'd be wolf meat for sure, but someone had my back. Thank you.

But they still got Kcoughli!

Figures about LIS. Man, never trust a res, I guess. It makes me feel better that I wasn't imagining things when I read LIS's posts after the Abney lynch as a kind of "gosh, did I do that?" kind of gloating. At least he's dead again.
 
As I was planning a tedious day of going back through everything that everyone has said lately, I was thinking of how the wolves must feel, watching us tear into one another when they are usually the one's instigating it:

 
Aw, man. Okay, here comes wild speculation time again: What the heck does it mean that Dy is still alive and in the Nether? Like seriously what is up with that? And now Hayley is with her? If Hayley is cooped up with a known wolf, what does that even mean? Is she a wolf? A convert? We've never seen two people in the Nether before, so maybe this is how conversion gets to happen. Maybe Dy gets to stay in the Nether until she makes a wolf to replace her? Sorry, if you are innocent Hayley, but the surreal mindfrack this game has become has me completely paranoid, and I'm scrutinizing everyone for possibilities.

Oh, I totally know what that is like, Hayley! I was rabid with desire to post yesterday, especially every time my name was invoked in vain. I'm truly sorry to have added to your distress in that regard. Day close just can't come soon enough, I know.

I kept notes in notepad so that I could unburden my soul as soon as I got out. Good luck in there!
 
Well, at this point we can't lynch Hayley today anyways, so probably should be focusing elsewhere.

That could have been their conversion opportunity...

Maybe whoever has shoe hat should ask how many total conversion opportunities were in the game or something. I just asked how many the wolves had. It's wouldn't be impossible for a villager to unknowingly rez a wolf but probably unlikely. However, shoe hat would tell us for sure. If the answer was still one then deva's a wolf. If the answer is two then deva is probably a villager.

Dy and Hayley can probably pm together in the Nether today. I think Dy counts as dead for the purposes of villager and wolf numbers, but I could be wrong about that.

So this was after genny died, we now have dy and an unknown - maybe Deva is the other original wolf and LIS convert then we're done?


My other theory is Steve was locked in the room in the write-up yesterday got blood on hands when he went for a walk in the night (Promo)... but I don't feel like this one is right.

The write up yesterday said she was dead and she neither vote nor pm in the nether (correct?) so for all intents and purposes she is dead unless she somehow returns from the nether.
