I'm trying to figure what sov thinks the wolves did if zen killed herself and wz was attacked.
 
So anyway, last night I sent a message to the wolves ....
I told them I was chaos (lie #1), and I told them who I was (or I hinted at it so strongly that they could guess easily in case mods didn't allow me to use my name)...

I told them I would help the wolves (lie#2) and if they used the word "bon bon" like "I am eating bonbons now" in the thread I would know who they were and that I would prove I was trustworthy by not lynching them (lie #3) or disclosing info (lie#4).

I figured there was probably very little chance they would trust me, but if it was a noob enough pack, or a real risk taker like STL, it might work.

More importantly, I figured by offering myself as an easy target as chaos, i figured they would just try to cast aspersions on me, cause I am just about the easiest person to lynch, cause everyone always thinks I am a wolf. (for example, look at last game... i was lynched as a seer, not even given a chance to be investigated overnight, hell even STL got to live 1 day as a seer and he is even more sketch than me)

So IMO, the wolves would try to twist whatever I did or said, and they could vote for me or not, and either way, they could try to gain some credibility since at least they lynched chaos. It was a no risk situation for them to try to look like good villagers just "missing slightly, but they knew I was off".

Anyway, that is why I am highly suspicious of anyone lynching me.

I'm trying to make sense of what you think might have happened since you think wz being attacked ked and discussing it makes her wolfy. With that claim, I would expect some sort of speculation. If you can't understand at this point, you are just being stubborn

This role description makes sense for the role name SOV gave me by PM earlier today. (For clarification, I'm not saying anything about villagery-ness, just consistency.)
 
So my suspicions will be:

KC, LotF, Finn for voting for me.
Dyachei PBC for negative comments against me.

I choose Dyachei for trying to link 2 unrelated items. There are a ton of things that the wolves could have done last night. My not knowing those things doesn't make me suspicious, but it makes me suspicious of Dyachei. PBC also threw out a weird comment about me wanting to be lynched as well.

Maybe i am wrong, but I doubt the wolves would ignore me as an easy target.

Well there is no way for me to know for sure it was by wolves. I assume it was, because that would make sense, wolves do tend to attack people at night, but I was not specifically told "you were attacked by wolves last night." It was not purposely vague, it was just communicating the information I was given.

I make 2 unrelated points.

1) The way WZ came out and made her point made me suspicious of her. Early in the game, those are the kinds of things you pursue.
2) There was ZERO indication in the write up the wolves had a failed attack. Why the hell does WZ's claim, true or not, have anything to do with what happened. They could have converted, they could have had a failed attack, i could be wrong and they did kill zen, they could have done whatever happened to DVMD.... There are a ton of possibilities... My claim in #1 does not preclude any of these.

Who is being stubborn Dyachei?
Why would i have all the freaking answers?

They are related you're just not understanding. Nor am I casting aspersions on you. I think it's weird that you claim the only attack we know about wasn't from wolves.

I asked several times now what you would think that would mean for the wolf action overnight then.

I have better targets than you now, but usually if an attack failed you have reason to know why, or be told why.

I have never seen a mod say, wolves attacked you and you survived. The end. It doesn't add up to me as a wolf attack. Sounds more like a block to me.

i didn't claim that.

I claimed that someone advertising they were attacked is a wolf ploy. It is a good one. Hell we even have had wolves attack each other to gain cred (though I would never do that personally this early in a game). That is not that weird.

We have no evidence of a wolf attack, just a claim from WZ that she was attacked whatever that means. could be wolf attack. Could not be. I don't claim anything.

and i think it is a distraction TBH. Not necessarily a wolfy one, but it is going to get us nowhere.
 
I don't see anything "off" about SOVs play. There is some bluster, but nothing out of the ordinary.

I have cause to doubt WZ as a wolf.

Also my point is occhams razor. The simplest explanation is most likely so why jump to wz lying?


But hey, apparently questioning you about anything makes you a suspect now.

First off I have no idea what I am doing
and Secondly, I can't imagine paying $27 for a computer game with 1980s graphics.
Can't they update it?
And using the keyboard to move around? Haven't done that since I was in high school in the dark ages. Haven't they heard of the arrow keys?
They should be giving it away for free IMO.

Sure, normally you can roll your eyes, but there was a bit of a steam roller going and you piled on on a questionable point. But sure, try to make it all about me being unreasonable instead of 5 people jumping on me for questioning a legitimate wolf maneuver.

I didn't make a big thing out of it, I disagreed with WZ and pointed out my reasoning. WZ was the most reasonable one about it TBH, and she seems the least wolfy IMO. (and Nyanko who uncharacteristically defended me when she could have let me fry).

That's an awful lot of reveal for having very few people on your bandwagon.

I have a hard time believing even the noobiest noob wolf would have fallen for that. Revealing oneself as a wolf to someone just because they can message you (in a game all about wolf hunting) is beyond n00b.

What if the wolves had suggested to someone that they could PM with to use the word "bon bon" in the main thread?

You can get (free!) mods to change the graphics if you like but the blockiness is just the style of the game - if you think that's bad don't even look at Hotline Miami! And most PC games don't use arrow keys unless they are very simple, as other functions are usually mapped to the keys around WASD. Though I imagine that is a control scheme you can change if you really want to. Such a grump :laugh:

It's literally the second best selling game of all time... behind Tetris. 😛 It's fun, I promise.

but like I said, I didn't expect that part to work... i was more trying to stir the pot and see if I could make myself a target.

If I am right, it worked, if I am wrong, then I am just chasing ghosts.
Either way, it gives us something to work with on an early round lynch when normally we have nothing.

It was worth a shot.

lynch finn because while I don't put much stock in whatever sobsob was trying to do, I do think she jumped on an easy bandwagon there. And I'm not really getting wolfy vibes from sobsob, just...idk...maybe he has too much time on his hands right now 😛

Also big information reveal from SOV, anyone want to corroborate his story? Maybe a wolf could speak up in defense? 😏

I really thought the finger pointing at what seemed a typical villager play to reveal information about a night attack was a reach. Like he was trying to start a wagon for WZ. However I also really thought Zen was doing something similar to BBC yesterday and we all know how that turned out so I'll admit I may not be the best at it. All that being said, it sounds like SOV may not be a villager, and perhaps is confirming that there are multiple groups to contend with (neutral, chaos, village, wolf), which is good information to know. Putting SOV on the back burner for now.

Just got out of work...me reading the thread can be personified by this emoji: :whoa:

I don't think SOV is necessarily being wolfy, but I don't necessarily believe that all of his "lies" are lies. Such is WW. Based on his claimed ability, I would lean toward chaos, but that is speculation based on similar chaos abilities being in previous games. Need to eat dinner now but will be back with a lynch vote shortly

I'm always suspicious of quickly-forming bandwagons,
 
I cut myself off. Whoops. The rest of that was supposed to say that I will be rereading and looking at people who piled on SOV, but idk. I'm not totally committed to that.
 
I don't know, I understand the votes for SOV but I also don't think anything he's said today is way out of character either. Certainly think it's possible he could be chaos or neutral---but don't know that it would make a lot of sense for him to come out with the role reveal (that could easily make people more suspicious) and explain his trap if he didn't genuinely believe he was catching wolves. It was early in the cycle and he only had a handful of votes, so doesn't seem like a move born out of desperation, really.

I was wondering why he didn't give it more time before he came out with all of that since lynch isn't closing for another few hours still.
