actually, one of the hardest things about eventually leaving jersey is losing out on a place like my favorite dinner here which has its own benny's section of their breakfast menu (which is 8 pages long itself)

I've never had eggs Benedict made by anyone but my dad. He even buys me fake Canadian bacon to put on it. I don't like runny yolks though so next time I was promised poached eggs with cooked solid yolks

yes to the mac and cheese. It's kind of disappointing how many restaurants can't do a good one. It's not that hard to make.

And no Italian food will ever compare to my grandmother's cooking.

I don't like chains in general. The food is mediocre at best. My family cooks really well, so I prefer home cooked to going out most times. There are some small local places that I like, and one makes some banging mac & cheese that I think even MJ would like.

Kraft is a completely different beast and holds a special place in my heart. I don't consider it mac and cheese

What I do: I pick several types of gourmet cheeses including at least 1 gruyere, sharp cheddar, cream cheese (or mascarpone), and bleu cheese type (that one in small amounts). I usually end up with 6 types of cheese. I melt the cheeses with cream and add a dollop of mustard and pour them over cooked noodles. Then I top with panko breading and bake for about 30-45 minutes. I never have leftovers when I make it (which makes me sad)

Not a family secret. I find that the sharper cheeses tend to go better.

The bleu cheese - it adds a tanginess and complexity of flavor. You don't need much. I make way more cheese sauce than needed and melt slowly in a saucepan.

nope. I've already had a few SDN houseguests. Can't remember if I made it for @LetItSnow or not. I didn't for @DVMDream but I was recently post op there.

Inside Pallet Township...

Let's start off light-hearted! Oh wait... we can't. The night was an absolute massacre.

It had started with a nice little Wartortle. She had recently gotten big and strong enough to start protecting others with her armored shell, and had even successfully foiled one night kill! She felt pretty good about protecting one pokemon in particular, and tonight we found her standing alertly at guard, making sure that nobody touched him.

Well, nobody touched him. As she did one of her sweeps of the perimeter, she felt her throat suddenly closing in. She saw no enemy and could find no hands to push away as she desperately scrabbled at her neck, but the pressure on her throat steadily increased until she couldn't take any air in. Then her head sharply twisted 360°, her neck shattered, and she crumpled in a heavy heap.

Dead is @orca2011, Wartortle - a VILLAGER who could protect one player every night.

The second target of the night was friends with Wartortle, and had actually been hanging out nearby. He had already had a near death experience this past week, but thanks to Chansey's quick thinking and CPR skills, he had been promptly brought back to life. He had grown much bigger and stronger since then, and had started braving the dark of the night every evening. That is what he was doing when something grabbed him, held him prone, and then sharply slashed the carotids on either side of his neck.

He took only a few steps more before collapsing on the ground, blood quickly pooling underneath him.

Dead is @Romoret, Charmeleon - a VILLAGER who could track one player every night.

Our last victim was actually a resident of Pallet Township, having been caught and brought in from the wild just a few days ago. She had been sure she would be a target days ago - you see, as an Abra, she just couldn't control herself and had kept flickering from place to place around the township. When she evolved she had learned to control herself, but she had kept moving anyway... a change in scenery is always fun, and brings new people to talk to!

Well, she had told someone something they didn't like. After an evening of meditation (that resulted in a nasty headache for someone else), she had retired to her bed for the night. She barely saw the shape that approached her, shotgun in hand, and blasted her huge brain to pieces.

Dead is @Stb1473, Kadabra - a VILLAGER who could move from place to place in the roster and seer an ability of one player nightly.

Think that's enough? Well, as dawn truly broke, one last surprise greeted everyone.

The light mist of morning never had a chance to fade, and smoke started flowing quietly from the nearby woods. At first it was thin, light grey and wispy, flowing smoothly over the homes and anyone unlucky enough to be outside - but then it darkened and thickened. Anyone watching was struck by how relentlessly it settled into every crack, crevasse and home. More and more of the smog crept along, and it started to pile up moment by moment until the sun was barely filtering through.

By high noon, the settlement was as dark and silent an old horror movie. Everything was only seen through the murkiness of the smoke, and appeared grey and grimey - it was so dark you could hardly see an arm held out it front of you. Needless to say, not much was getting done.
