^ Which California school? Do you mean all the UC's? For one thing, I don't think I have too good of a chance. Also, I don't want to go to CA. Cali sucks.

I'm from Philly, and PA schools don't have alliances with schools from other states. So don't tell me about WUE, ACM, or that alliance in New England.

NY, NJ, CT, and OH all let you become IS after first year.

University of Vermont forces students to pay the same tuition all four years, meaning that if you come from out of state, you must pay OOS tuition every year. There are a few exceptions (for military and those whose entire family moves), but you should ask the admissions office about those directly.

I don't think you can change MI residency status after 1 year, but I know UMich has a tendency to give a lot of OOS scholarships to make OOS and IS tuition very comparable in the long run. UMich is a VERY OOS friendy public school.

most texas schools. Actually texas has a rule (if you can call it that) that if you receive at least $1000 in scholarship money from the school you will qualify for instate tuition. the only caveat is that texas medical schools are required to take 90% of their class from instate residents.
