I just declined my OOS offer to Purdue. Hope one of you gets it 🙂.

It was so hard to turn down, I did love their program, and everyone there was so nice and helpful! But I'm off to London instead, where my fiance can work much more easily.

for those of you still waiting...remember some people that accepted Purdue are also waiting on other schools. For instance...southjerseybell is still waiting on Tufts and she said she doesn't expect to hear anything until May 1. So.....there is still a chance some people might give up their spots in the next few weeks as they hear back from their waitlisted schools. Good luck!

I know! I was patiently waiting and staring at my phone ALL morning and I realized no one posted about phone calls today. Pretty nerve wracking! Hope the calls keep coming!

By the 18th last year, some people received emails asking if they wished to remain on the alternate list. Did anyone get an email??? Sooo antsy.

Well, it was kind of a useless phone call. Sorry guys. The woman I spoke to basically said she couldn't tell me anything - the usual, that OOSers are often waiting on their IS schools' wait lists to move, blah blah blah.

i really appreciate the effort🙂

i just assume that it would be moving a lot faster since it seems like most people on sdn declined their OOS seat, even though its a small sample of the actual applicant pool, it is overall a good monitoring system to see when things happen.

just frustrated too since they said april 18th

Nothing exciting came of the call....but she did say that "the class of 2015 has been established at this point". 🙁 But that things might change as others who have been admitted to Purdue choose other schools.

if you are correct then i am pretty shocked, especially since some schools are already in the 30s on their waitlist, and purdue has one of the largest proportion of OOS in a class....

I sure hope that this is INCORRECT information. I was pretty disappointed to hear this, especially considering the movement on other waitlists and the increase in Purdue's OOS seats. 😕

Thats absolutely awful to hear. I really hope that it was just a generic response that the receptionist was told to say. I just can't understand why the waitlist would have stopped moving after just that one day. Doesn't make any sense =/

i called as well and spoke to janet. This is not what i asked/she said verbatim just the gist:

Me: When will the alternates start being called?
Janet: They are currently working on it and if there is an opening an alternate will be called.

Me:is it true the class is full already?
Janet: Yes the class is full.

Me: Does that mean there are no OOS seats open? Are there any OOS open?
Janet: I do not know on the top of my head but I will try to go find out

Our thoughts and prayers are with those still waiting. My husband was just accepted on Saturday so we know the stomach turning experience of waiting and really feel for anyone in that position. Here's to hoping the waitlist still moves. Hang in there everyone and good luck!

Just the lack of movement. I'm surprised that we haven't gotten emails asking if we wish to remain on the wait list... or any more acceptances. This year's process seems a lot different than last year (according to their forum).

Come on Purdue, OOSers want some phonecalls!

Gsi when you call maybe you can get her to give you some indication as to where you sit on that list. From what I understand you could be next or you could be 50 people down the list. Maybe without telling you what number you are, she can tell you whether you are close???

I was bored so I just looked them up, so like the lows in Jan are in the teens and the highs in the summer is 85, so overall not terrible weather compared to other places...but torandoes???? Does that actually even really occur in West Lafayette, this isn't Kansas, Texas, or Oklahoma
