Yes, more like tree egg+uterus! Most fruits are more like eggs, with the seed being the embryo, yolk sac (endosperm), allantois (? Can’t think of anything analogous in plants), and chorion (seed coat), while the rest of the fruit is like the albumin (endocarp/mesocarp) and shell (exocarp). Apples are pomes so they also have tissue from the hypanthium (part of the uterus in the analogy). Although now I’m reconsidering my analogy and wondering if it would work better to consider the plant ovary (which becomes the entire fruit in most fruits) as analogous to the ovary and uterus (and the corolla and calyx [hypanthium] as external genitalia). I wanted to make them analogous to the animal ovule since it would be terrifying if the uterus transformed and dehisced as a baby/egg-covering at birth/laying... but then again the rest of the floral structure dies and falls off anyway so in any case it’s like an animal growing many complete reproductive tracts, getting some fertilized, having the unfertilized ones fall off and die immediately and the rest after birth/laying, then growing many new ones. I love plants. I love modular organisms. They’re gross disgustening things.

:caution: 2 sperm inside a tube cell, intime, and exime!

Is it any comfort to think that it’s probably not proteins of the sperm you’re allergic to?

:sendoff: Oh, that’s it! I will have no pigeon slander!

This reads village, unless alley is going for wildly different bold wolfing after last game’s strategy didn’t work out

It’s just a little love tap! Don’t worry, I have no intention to actually yeet you instead of switching my vote to the wolfiest player by the end of the day. Then again, I am also getting slight wolf tingles from this post.
You're making me have PTSD flashbacks to botany! I would have liked it a lot more if the professor wasn't the biggest a**hole on campus

That sucks, sorry! Our botany professor has a giant “HOT ROD” with a cheezy classic muscle car tattoo on his forearm and is perhaps even more chill than you would expect from that lol.

One of my favorite professors would show up in tattered jeans and an old t shirt and spend the first five minutes of class reminding us not to comply to social norms. He taught sociology and conflict resolution. Actually had history of being involved as an international political mediator including at the White House and would tell stories about almost getting kicked out all the time because he would never wear a suit but was so good at mediating conflicts that he would convince them to let him stay.

My favorite professor (physics) bought me coffee every day and told me stories. Like how he kidnapped someone back in his home country.

He is in his in his 70s, is like 5'2" and box jumps onto tables for his students
Our physics professor was also in his 70s, definitely not capable of doing that, but was very easily distracted by any mention of new technology and could waste an entire class talking about tree-shaped solar panels.

Our organic chem professor was a lady in her mid 20s who just taught us how to make drugs all the time

My Ochem professor sounded like Steve Martin, and my Ochem Lab professor tore me a new one since I was horrible at drawing glassware for prelabs. I befriended her though once she founded out my best friend was in the orchestra since she played in the community orchestra

Why would someone get that upset about how someone draws glassware 🤣 Every professor I've ever had would draw a lopsided triangle and be like "just pretend this is a flask"

How did Sunny do that? I missed wherever that happened
She can explain it a bit better, but she basically made a copy + paste error from her spreadsheet, where she accidentally copied someone’s suspected role instead of the next person’s name. So her “wolf list” was like: bread, April, wolf, mayo and it looked sketchy. She was actually wolf hunting trying to find the other pack, and her spreadsheet was genuine, but her mistake made us sus and she got yeeted.

+1 village points to Vis b/c they’re posting and strategizing like village!vis did in apocalypse. Plus revealing how much of a botany nerd they are.

I’m incredibly jealous, as I was not a fan of my ochem or my physics professors. Wishing I went to your school!!

We had a small class size so the students and professors got to know each other well. One of them even would rent out our campus's mini movie theater and have movie nights with students. In my senior year, I was being greeted by name by professors more often than students while walking across campus! There were only two professors who I wasn't a fan of but one of them liked me for whatever reason.

My physics professor yells at me if I do not greet him by first name

That's what my comparative anatomy professor would do. No one was allowed to call him Dr. He was my favorite professor of all time and acted like I was doing HIM a favor when I asked for a letter of recommendation

One time I had an AWFUL sinus infection, and I accidentally took nyquil instead of dayquil before going to ochem lab. During the lab, I knocked over the ester that we had just spent 1.5 hours synthesizing. I just stared at it sitting on the lab bench in front of me and then my sick brain thought it would be a good idea to try to pipette it up. My lab TA just laughed at me and and sent my dumb*** home.
My physics professor peer pressured me into getting a physics major... I might be very susceptible to peer pressure
Physics 1&2 were my least favorite classes. I was so happy last December when I took my physics 2 final and could finally be done with physics forever.
Props to you for majoring in such a tough subject, even if you were peer pressured into it.

One time my lab partner, same kinda egotistical guy who DMs our D&D, spilled a chemical in the fume hood and got a tiny bit on his hand and tried to play it off. A few seconds later he learned strong bases can burn just as bad as strong acids

I haven't played in a while, but wow, lots of new blood players I haven't seen before :angelic:

I want to hear from the one player I'm not familiar with at all yet. Maybe she didn't get the tag like a few of us. @Dinashadow

I have a busy day, so I'm not going to be on until later tonight, but looks like a lot of typical D1 off-topic chatter to me. I do want to put my vote in though.

yeet april

So this is what I get for trying to get people more involved

I can’t say I have any reads on anyone yet. Does anyone feel particularly wolf like?

I don't think you're going to find that many wolves will self-identify for you in WW games.

This is a lot of words for my sleep-deprived brain. When I saw the block of text at first I thought it was game-related and was like HOLD UP

My physics prof was like 50 yo and the first time I saw him I thought he was homeless and got into the school. He wore the same clothes everyday!!!
My physics prof was a young woman who worked for NASA, and she was a total baller. I took both physics 1 and physics 2 with her because her approach just made so much sense in my brain and she was such a dynamic and fun prof. I loved both courses - not because I really love physics that much (although I do really like knowing how the world works), but because the way she taught it was so applicable for other courses too. It actually was really similar to how my vet school taught us to work up problem lists. I got so much out of both classes and it totally changed how I approached problems in other areas. It was probably one of my favorite courses in undergrad, which I never would have expected going in.

Physics is great.

I don’t love actually yeeting people for being quiet early on after how that went with Barks and I last game, but I do like giving them a little nudge. @sunshinefl Dubz and Breads are calling you out 😱
I will most likely change, we still have around 30 hours left
