I'm side-eyeing pippy (maybe Allie but not as much) for reasons I stated above - not really a fan of the Genny scrutiny/thought it was pretty obvious what Genny was getting at.

If you knew what she was getting at in advance, then sure, it was very obvious. As it is very obvious in retrospect. I did not know in advance, and misinterpreted it as sarcasm, because sometimes Genny is you know... sarcastic.

(My bad on that, btw. But again, hindsight...or a heads up...is 20/20).

Some people like being wolves. A lot. As someone (Snowy maybe?) rightfully pointed out last game, I get all excited by the tricking people thing, and the mini-power tripping thing, and the evil killing people thing, so in that game I made the mistake of getting giddy. You were a pretty damn good noob wolf; you might be one of those people who has fun.

And watch where you're throwing those ageisms 😛 Some of us like to see enthusiasm in the young'uns

Truth. And some of us (*cough*ME*cough*) hate wolfing because we either suck at it, or just because we get more pleasure in wolf-hunting.

Although admittedly, bageling the villagers last game was pretty satisfying.

For the record, I'm not, really. Other than to facilitate discussion, which would have been further shut down earlier today if I had moved my vote to someone who is going down anyways. If Blitzen started to lose traction, I would be voting there, but as it is...meh.

Edit: as far as why dubz, there were reasons for it, just fluffy D1 reasons that I don't particularly feel like going into in case she is wolfy. As I said, on the fence with her right now since she showed up & started posting more.

But, real talk, this really has happened every game I've been in and read through in some way or another and I think it's BS. "The more people are talking, the better I can evaluate" usually translates into "the more people talk the more others think they should have a case of the deads."

Genny is a good player and if she has info, I want to trust her. But she is also a really good wolf and I can't read her well, so she might be strongly going after a villager or a fellow wolf to gain village cred. I think she did something like that a few games ago and it screwed me over because I had her strong village the entire time. Meaning, I want to test her info but I don't know if I can trust Genny even if britz flips wolf.

Posting plenty of contributory posts helps - so talking a lot does help. But if the talking "a lot" is just inconsequential volume ... sure, that's going to hurt.

Eh. Most wolves won't come out THAT hard against someone that quickly. It just doesn't play out well for them in the long run.

So I don't really give much credence to the idea of Genny being a wolf going after a villager.

If she's a wolf tossing a wolf under the bus ... ok, fine, I'm perfectly happy being fed a wolf by another wolf.

So I don't see much reason not to roll with her for now. Doesn't mean I think she's village, but I do think it's worth testing whatever evidence she has and, if it doesn't pan out, force her to talk more about what she was going off of.

That's fair. But, I take Pippy's point. Pippy likes to force multiple people to discuss, so she doesn't like runaway voting. It's pretty classic for her meta.

Yeah I agree we should test her info which is why I voted britz. And its D1 so I doubt a wolf would bus another wolf that early, but if britz is a wolf I don't want to just throw her in my village category for the rest of the game. Mainly just a reminder for myself I guess 😛

Pretty common for info roles to downplay their info as feels if they are trying not to get dead that night. She didn't go with the most subtle of wording but there it is.

Eh, I'm kinda doing the same thing.
Yes wide discussion can happen with a bandwagon vote but it rarely does. People don't tend to respond much when they're in no danger of being lynched, so the "discussion" ends up being one sided.

One of the reasons why vote analysis is so iffy. You can't just look at the final tally and hope to get good info from it...very easy for wolves to place their final votes in places where you wouldn't expect, especially since people have already stated what kind of votes they're viewing as sketchy.

Eh vote analysis is sometimes helpful, though. Like an outted wolf is a great opportunity for fellow wolves to jump on the vote quickly so they look like they are just rah-rah supporting the village.

Which, speaking of, I thought AM jumped on that vote awfully fast, almost like she was waiting for info to drop. Might be worth looking into her at some point. I'd also be ok with lynching Allie tomorrow, I think

Sure, but then when players don't talk as much they will then get lynched for being too quiet and skating under the radar. People get lynched for all sorts of reasons and arguing that open communication could do anything but help the village is a bit silly. Quiet villagers make it easier for wolves to hide their underhanded activities.

And, yes, the more anyone in this game talks the more someone thinks they should be dead. Whether it's someone getting lynched for sounding sketchy or getting wolf killed for sounding important. On a long enough time scale the survival rate for everyone in this game is 0
