Dude. It was her first post of DAY ONE. What are the odds of something like that happening?

And truth fact: it didn't even really register in my brain that people would be able to use actions last night, so when she first started pushing it, it took a while for me to catch up.

All I saw was a post that I read as some typical genny snark. Which I have repeatedly explained over the course of today. To multiple people.

If I get lynched over something this dumb, I'm going to ...idk but my computer better watch out.

The part that you bolded is me referring to the entirety of what I posted today. That is not WIFOM. That is you misinterpreting posts and pushing crappy logic all of a sudden.

Honestly, this whole post is kind of why I pushed it like I did. I knew the veterans would get what I was saying, but I figured newer players might not get it. Kind of surprised by the way allie actually asked first because she's one of the few that I figured would know right away.
 
I guess I'm just confused about why @genny needed to be so vague when she obtained the incriminating information through an item. It's not like she is a seer or tracker who needed to get the info out but still keep her ability on the down low. I do understand wanting to try and get Britzen to explain herself but idk I feel like now it's easy for wolves to throw suspicion onto those of us who pushed genny to elaborate. I totally forgot there was no PMing this game so I feel a bit obtuse now for questioning genny. I assumed if there was any kind of evidence of a wolf she would have tried to tell someone else or if she was the recipient, maybe she would have worded it differently.

Which is why the DVMD pippy banter is making me chuckle. But I dunno in a way the former does have a point. I thought it was pretty apparent what you were getting it. I guess someone could overlook it, but...

Why be so vague when it was a result from an item though?

Yeah in hindsight, not my brightest move. At this point I'm kind of calling myself a new player anyway though...still finding my footing after such a long hiatus and the play style has changed so much since from a few years ago.

I'm pretty sure every time anyone has ever said "I would/would never do that as a wolf" people reply with WIFOM. I mean that is what that means. You say you wouldn't do X as a wolf, but if you were a wolf, would you do the opposite knowing we would think you wouldn't do that?

Taking this back to this game (as much as it pains me to do so right now)...

If it really was an item then I'm not sure wolves would actually get notified about it. Although maybe item vs ability doesn't even make a difference and people never get notified of seering in kaydubs's games. But that would change my wolfy list a bit, I think.

If notified, I'd expect one maaaaybe 2 wolves to be ready to jump on the vote early. That would make me want to look more closely at AM and Teep. Then I would expect to see a few more jump on at kind of random intervals...kind of using the logic that dubz so nicely laid out earlier about why voting analysis doesn't work.

If not notified, then I would expect wolves to try to push back a little bit, or maybe just stay away and hope that Genny was just acting sketch and would sink herself. In that case I'd be looking at Allie.

I did think that Allie's immediate assumption that I would "guaranteed" push back on a statement like that was a little odd, because I honestly wasn't going to push it until I realized genny was serious. Idk what that means overall; just had noted it as weird.

Regardless of item use notification or not...

I felt like vmh had lighter posting than normal in terms of level of insight, and so I would like to hear more from her.

Sporty has had some very minor opposing language in her posts that could be noobish or could be sketch. I had been leaning village on her because of the mayor election, but then I read back a little bit this evening and realized she actually didn't put herself on the ballot: jil put her there.

Jil jumped on the Britzen vote with weak reasoning, I thought, and has not had much original stuff to say. Neutral atm, maybe slight wolf lean.

Mel is pushing for info and making the occasional weird statement, so I have him at neutral to slight village right now because that's what he normally does.

Froyo I have at slight village

Dubz is still at neutral to slight wolf lean for me for a couple reasons. I would strongly recommend using the item thingy on her at some point.

DVMD is wrong, but that doesn't mean wolfy, and I'm not sure she would push this hard on something like this, this early on, if she was a wolf.

That's all I got right now -- I have 2 exams this week, one of which is tomorrow, and am at school from 7:30am-11pm both tomorrow & Thursday. So, if I get lynched then bummer, but clearly I'm sucking right now so it won't be the biggest loss lol

I feel like you didn't read anything I said up there^

I also think WIFOM is an over used cop-out that demonizes critical thinking, but that is just my personal opinion. I actually quite like WIFOM-y thinking.

But regardless, looking at every single post that I wrote in a day and saying I would not have been that consistently wrong/vocal/pushy and calling that WIFOM is not really a realistic application of that term. I mean, maybe if I were like, Lupin or something. But I most certainly am not that good at thinking so far ahead of everyone else that I would be able to manipulate my posts to that degree. So it is not WIFOM because there isn't an opportunity to exercise that level of control. Does that make more sense? I feel like I'm still doing a ****ty job explaining this.

I feel like you are missing the point. Anytime anyone says I would/wouldn’t do that as a wolf” it doesn’t mean anything. I’ve said it too, but I know anytime I say it, it doesn’t mean anything and often admit that in the same post.

I really want to point out here that I am usually way more attentive to detail AS A WOLF than I am as a villager, and actually in fact typically get significantly more side eyes early game as a villager, but I'm going to get WIFOM thrown at me 6 ways to Sunday so just pretend I didn't say that.

I also disagree that spatting at people like a feral is off my norm for getting lynch attention as a villager, but whatever.

Don't expect a massive defense from me tomorrow; already invested too much time and I feel like I'm just launching myself at a wall.

My point was: It is outside your meta. Whether it ends up being meaningful, I don't know. But you shouldn't be upset because people are waving a flag and saying "hey, this is unusual for Pippy." You'd do it, too.

In regards to coasting... or you could have said "Uh oh... villager Pippy would keep pounding away on people, so I'd better do that." *shrug*

I ignore "if I were a wolf" type of arguments. I look at other things, like hard info, changes in play style, conflicting moves, etc. There's no hard info on you that I know of, and you've been consistent, but your play style is definitely not your norm.

I'm getting more sketched out by the fact that you seem to be making more of it than anyone else.

Are you arguing that we shouldn't point out unusual play?

And, you never answered: Are WZ and Cheezy also "cleared" by virtue of the same argument you made about yourself?
