Yeah. I didn’t get it from looking either. I thought I would have it figured out. And then a following game wouldn’t follow the pattern. I was looking at octothorpes, capitalizing, salt yeeted, content yeeted, etc and didn’t see it

I thought it was obvious and get a god you are dense laugh. So either it wasn’t obvious or you do think I’m dense 😢

Yeah, I’ve been thinking about this a lot. It freaked me out too, and probably where I’ll be looking today.
 
On my way to the airport so I’ll make it quick:
Crayola227 - Strong village feelings. My strongest village read this game.
Animal Midwife - I expect she’s village. Playing her village meta.
samac - A strong village read on her as well.
BobLoblaw78 - Village read. Looks like he’s game solving in a genuine way.

cubsrule4e - Wolf read. Didn’t like the reasoning for the Samac vote or sitting on it. Didn’t like the excitement over the tie.

Everyone else I’m currently neutral on, and intend to look at closer today, including Mel, who I’m reconsidering my wolf read of, I always find him sketchy but there was some logic behind his posting I can see as being a village!mel thing to do.

How do you reconcile my "excitement" over a tie, which was really me just throwing out stats of the chance at getting a wolf or 3P in that scenario vs genny actually intentionally making a last minute tie cause it was exciting in the last game? Why is one wolfy and one ok?
 
Night One

Salt Lake City, Utah

Usually at this time, the noise from the treadmill manufacturing plant filled the air for miles. The high-pitched sound of crinkling tinfoil kept the area around the factory free of residential homes, no one wanted to wake up with their teeth on edge every day. But on this particular morning, the factory was silent. The machines had been shut down, half-formed tinfoil treadmills hanging in the air. And in the morning light that shone through the windows, a splattering of red on the cold grey metal.

"Look at the state of this place," said one agent. Her eyes fell on the bodies of factory workers. If it had just been one, it might have been mistaken for an industrial accident. But four? No. This was a spree killer.

"This killer is disorganized for sure. There is very little plan here, just instinct. The bodies are left where they fell. No effort to cover up the scene."

"This one will be hard to catch. He'll be relocating soon. But one thing might help...there aren't that many tinfoil treadmill factories in this country. We'll set up stings at the remaining factories. He won't be able to resist another spree for long."

"Why is no one asking why these treadmills are made of tinfoil?"

The reporters gathered around, pressing each other into the stage, microphones thrust forward. The press liaison brushed a hair out of her eyes, the wind quickly moving it right back. She held up a hand to quiet the reporters' questions.

"Yes, we have a suspect. He was caught sneaking into a tinfoil treadmill factory late in the night. We don't know why he is drawn to these places, but he is in custody now."

"Who caught him? Who do we have to thank for putting this psycho away?"

"Well actually that is an interesting story. It was something of a joint effort..."

The pattern I was seeing was that she was more likely to salt yeet as village and more likely to not mention salt and provide serious reasoning as wolf, but I didn’t (and still don’t) see anything that’s more of a clear-cut rule that she does or does not consistently do (not that I would expect there to be something that’s 100% accurate)

The fact it came after night close actually makes it important to me because that reads list didn’t didn’t taint the night kill choice by the wolves.

That’s doesn’t make sense. I didn’t like the chaos of wanting a 4 way tie, that’s different than feeling bad about alley.

I guess im going to have to start adding the preemptive joking or just playing devils advocate descriptors anytime I talk about multi-way ties in the future as well.

It didnt seem like a joke. Seemed like you actually wanted to do it, talked about the stats of getting a wolf, and never moved a vote. Felt like you were really considering it.

I feel like genny is always excited about ties, and iirc that was just a 2-way tie, whereas your reaction to the idea of ending in a 4-way tie didn’t strike me as typical of you.

It was a D1 4 way tie of people with 2 votes with an outstanding vote left. Did you honestly think it was going to end like that? I even said I would move to TME if it really got desperate. Then others who had weaker commitments to their votes started saying theyd move. Then out of nowhere the alley ambush reared its ugly head.

The more I reread the more I’m talking myself out of my wolf read on cubs. He feels weird, but not in the direction he has as a wolf. His play last night felt “sloppy” (not meaning to offend, can’t think of a better way to say it) and I expect him to push more to avoid that kind of spewing thoughts as a wolf. His wolf spew is usually emotional manipulation and jokes, whereas I feel like as a villager he is more likely to let himself stream-of-conciousness undeveloped thoughts on the game.

I would have moved to TME if need be. I want to hear more from Stagg but thats a chronic issue. The VSALPHABETSOUP missed vote is annoying but I dont think it was done in bad faith so dont agree with that read at the moment. Samac and Cray arent fighting, which could be cause for concern on at least one side of that equation, but its also early and Cray hasnt been as active.
