Supernatural: Villains WW Game Thread

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
No dear. I tried to give a VILLAGER an extra kill, who just turned out to be a wolf in the end. And we STILL almost won, if it werent for you baiting alley to lock in her vote. But yeah, not my finest moment!
Hey at least you found your wife from that game, even though I was deeply betrayed by her. Plus it’s okay, I got my revenge in Bowwling!

Genny is typically much more active than MsP. I do admit that I’ve never seen wolf!MsP but I would like to wait until she actually posts to decide if she’s a threat to village or not.
Also, even though MsP can be chaotic, she has had good reads and contributions to the thread when she’s played in the past. Even though her waiting until the last minute increases my heart rate

Not really. In Native American mythology it's when someone eats human flesh and they get cursed to be a hideous monster that always craves more flesh.
Aren’t they also known as “Skin Walkers”? Where they wear the skin of humans or transform into human looking creatures to blend in and get close but can’t speak obviously.

So I’m currently feeling okay about Samac, pleasy, and pshelty (in that order). Zenge seems to be a tiny bit more on his village side, but I also hate his opening post and how he’s going about that claim. Ace seemed a bit odd to me but idk if we played together before (like if he participated in bowwling?) and I wasn’t a huge fan of fluffy’s posts earlier. Stoat, AM, kdswg, and cubs are ??? right now.

I might be getting Wendigo mythology confused with Skinwalker mythology here-- I'm no expert. I don't think Wendigos ever get to go back to human form. They're very obviously like giant and thin and gross looking.
It's also hard for me to differentiate since there's so many variations of the myths depending on the peoples involved that there's probably no entirely correct answer.
Specifically to SPN lore, the wendigo is a humanoid monster that just wants to scarf down delicious humans. Skinwalkers (which have caused a heck of a lot of problems for the Winchesters) just shapeshift into other people for the lulz and the chaos.

I’ve only played the noob game. I was AM’s sidecar once and have totted a few since, but haven’t been brave enough to jump in until now, and haven’t had the time

What has you feeling good about please?

Also, why do you hate Zenge's opening post?

I agree with this analysis. Trying to remember the last game I played with Z where he had a “strong” PR. I know there was his cool codebreaker role in England and I think that he had a pretty important role in RvB as well.
He was vig in marvel, I thought he was sketch for the first day or so but I thought it could have been a survival mechanism.

Just curious why did you respond to alley saying you seem a little odd but not respond to me voting you?

It was more a comment to clarify that we hadn't played before. I tried to make a jokey intro post and it didn't come off as funny to some. PSV and Alley played along with it. I get why you might read into it that way, I just don't see a point in fighting that.

Reading but I thiiink this is Ace's first non-noob game

I believe that Wendigos are Algonquin Nation creatures, so their myth springs from the east coast. Skin Walkers are Navajo. So they're variations on a theme because they're from different cultures. Edit: also, naglooshi/skinwalkers are not supposed to be discussed, so we don't know much about them compared to Wendigos. Always thought that was tantalizing and cool.

Have you totted any games recently?

@Zenge142 were you planning on clarifying this? Or are you treating your post as a giant mic drop and not explaining further lol. I’m confused by the entire point 1 of your benefits
Point 1 is saying that because it’s unlikely I would ever do this as a seer, wolves won’t risk killing me. I could be a bomb for all they know. It’s all WIFOM.

It’s also saying, to Pleasy’s question, that wolves cannot claim seer as a cover role which would normally cause players to back off of a wagon very abruptly.

But in general, yes, I meant for it to be a mic drop moment and never talk about it again.

I'm not sure wolves would generally claim to be a seer. That would be a bold move when you don't know if someone can counterclaim, and if no one says they've been seered that becomes very suspicious.

I... Guess you're village? That's uh. That's really experimental. I understand the temptation to do something wild and one day just going for it but uh. Wow. I'm actually not sure how to read you this game. I like it tho. I'm just stumped. It's like an octopus just inked me but instead of fleeing it suckered my face and I'm just confused and there's an octopus on my face.

I’m very curious why your brain went to wolf fake claim. As far as I know that’s not a common problem?

I did MarWWel and GlobetWWotting. but I use the term tot loosely. I would find myself 10 pages behind and skip to yeet close for answers.
I ask because I caught onto wolves quickly in a couple recent games, Marvel included, by how they responded to pressure and I’m mulling over if a noob wolf just wouldn’t engage with me to try and avoid that.

I kinda assumed you were hoping for a response from me for voting me, but like I said, I don't really have an answer for it. more of "soz i was trying to be funny and that's the best thing I could think of." But i understand this is online, we don't know each other, and you don't know that I'm an extremely sarcastic person that shouldn't be taken seriously. downfall of being online

I’ll feel better about Zenge once he catches a wolf. It is a hell lot of effort for a wolf to claim seer, but his post is essentially WIFOM, and the goal might have been to get us confused and leave him alone.
I mean like i think the point is that it would be SO friggin risky to do as a wolf that there's no point to doing it. And I think that at least for the first cycle, speculating on this doesn't do much
but I also hate his opening post and how he’s going about that claim.
i agree that its very chaotic but can you pin down why specifically you hate it?

I think I've seen it

The logic was interesting, esp since as a grasshopper I don't quite see why we couldn't have a wolf seer and a village seer in the game. But I agree with Please's post above mine

Pleasy’s questioning of Zenge and actually daring to question his logic rather than just accepting he was village.

Because he came in, claimed seer, and then just expected none of us to question it in a giant essay post. And for the most part all we did was accept it and joke about it. I also REALLY don’t like that the mods legit said “don’t use role-revealing to solve the game, it won’t work” and Zenge immediately role-revealed. Just kinda rubbed me the wrong way and it wasn’t how I like to start games. I like working our way up to long posts and ISOs. I really only like role-revealing when someone is in danger of being yeeted.

Also it wasn’t what I wanted to see first-thing at 7am so I was a bit annoyed. Like “damn it, I have to actually think super early today and use my brain.” That part is a joke but I definitely wasn’t conscious for my first 2 read throughs of that post.

Oh I just think it's too much to chew on and if he's not a 3P, he'll be an easier read at some other point. Remarking on something and coasting by it =/= acceptance

@Animal Midwife I’m curious to hear your thoughts on peoples reactions to my post, and if any of them stand out to you as note worthy.

i feel like what a lot of people are seeming to get hung up on is that its not how they personally would open a game but like I don't see the relevance in that??? like its CERTAINLY not something i would do but i don't really see it as sketch because of that, I see it as bold. Villager bold I think is more likely than wolf bold, but it is just plain, either way, bold

You know, what I 98% don't buy in any of that is not his affiliation claim, but his role claim. And I think that was his intention all along.
