Thought I'd start a thread so we can talk about the Olympics! All sports, athletes, countries, etc are fair game.

Anyone who is actually there...please, please, please share what you see.

Opening ceremony is tonight!

Tidbit of the day from this Olympaholic...I have a huge crush on Michael Phelps. So much that hubby just rolls his eyes 'cause I giggle everytime I see him. Something about those low pants and those sexy as heck gold medals. 😳

Gymnastics are always fun to watch, its odd, with the Olympics even the most mundane sports like weightlifting are entertaining.

I pretty much 😍 all the swimmers. They all have such great bodies that you just can't help but stare at them. And Phelps comes to my college all the time. Pretty much all of our pool records are his. Several friends of mine have seen/met him but he's apparently a bit of an ass in person. =/

I'll admit, I don't know how much I'll be watching, but it does bring back fond memories for me. 😍😍 It was so weird to watch the Olympics in English. I spent three weeks in China in 2008 for the Olympics and it was pretty much hosted in Chinese. We got to watch Michael Phelps swim, a soccer game...was an awesome trip.

I like gymnastics and soccer, and swimming, and...most of it. 😍

Thats a good pair. Philip and Mystery Whisper will be another team to watch! I just hope the horses inexperience doesn't get in the way. I was really bummed when Sinead didn't make the team. 🙁

Actually the whole team is pretty awesome. I was kind of happy that Meredith Little-Meredith didn't make the team. She's an amazing rider, but I feel like you need to put in your due before you get to go to the Olympics. I know that's silly but it's how I feel.

Also a huge Michael Fox-Pitt fan. I love to watch him gallop xc cause he's so balanced. And I can't wait to watch Mark Todd ride as an individual.

Yeah I applied as a UK resident like 2 years ago and got a ticket to day 2 of dressage and xcountry. BEYOND excited. I can't even believe I managed to get tickets!
