When it comes to self prez this really only matters if you have reason to believe the other person is a more valuable villager due to an ability or something.

Otherwise like... if you're a villager then we lose one either way but from your perspective you're a sure thing and the other person is a gamble.

Day 1

The first day in The Good Place was a whirlwind of activity. There was a welcome video with not 1, not 2, but 3 Michaels, all looking completely different. There was frozen yogurt - SO much frozen yogurt (why was there so much frozen yogurt?? Michael assured Eleanor that it was something everyone loved. She wasn't so sure, but Michael didn't always seem like he had a solid handle on human reactions or preferences. He tried though, and maybe that was what mattered).

As Eleanor explored her new after-life, she began to feel uneasy. There had clearly been a mistake. Her house was so small, and the decor was ... not her. Michael had waxed poetic about her many accomplishments in life, but none of them were being the top salesman at a fake pharmaceutical company selling to old people. What was going on?

There was a sense of unease in the air, even though it was The Good Place. Surely, everyone belonged here! Everyone was good! As Eleanor strolled into a large party hosted by a tall drink of water called Tahani Al-Jamil, she overheard people speculating. Surely, this being The Good Place meant that everyone was good ... right? Or maybe there were some who would benefit from the removal of others, but not everyone? It was all very hard to understand when all she wanted was to capitalize on the shrimp cocktail that she kept taking when the waitstaff offered, and they kept offering her wine, which truly it would be rude to refuse. It made her tongue stumble over itself sometimes.

The afterparty was a blur, but it seemed that the partygoers had decided that someone didn't belong in The Good Place and had slipped in by mistake. She saw someone being escorted out. Maybe they were too basic. Shrimp!!!

She somehow found herself back at her house that night, safely tucked in despite having to navigate the ledge that seemed like it should be stairs but wasn't. As she drifted off to sleep, she mumbled to herself "The Good Place is good, but not all good is good? Some good is bad? Incompatible?"

If she had a headache the next morning - a hangover in The Good Place - she was going to be FORKING annoyed.
