The Good PWWace - GAME THREAD

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Fear not I’m sure I’ll post when other people are presenting at the conference 😛
I've seen Spurs on SDN at a conference even before we got him hooked on WW, I can't imagine what he'll be like now.

Spurs: Still V. He was onto Clem D1, mostly based on vibes and didn't back down on his gut instinct even when he was getting side-eyed for it. I feel like w!Spurs was more of a blend-into-the-background kind of guy and didn't stand out too much. So far, I think he's my most comfortable V read.

Rae: Was V, but her back and forth on Clem has kinda made me backtrack. First, she says that's she nonplused that people are ok with Clem lying and asks why he's still around. Proceeds to vote for Clem. Ok, that checks out. When morning rolls around, she starts waffling on if yeeting Clem is the right thing to do and twists herself into a pretzel. What makes it even more weird is that Genny-whom she wants us to trust is V based on....reasons. Valid, everyone can keep secrets-was next in line to be yeeted. Seems like a bit of drastic 180 in the span of a few hours.

Kitz: Also very much village. Despite being a noob, she's doing a fantastic job asking questions and speculating about mechanics. I think she was one of the first to suggest maybe we're in the Bad Place before Barks set off the mass claims. I do worry that with her practically broadcasting her ability, she might be tonight's NK.

Finns: Slight V. She was also one of the first ones to speculate that this is the Bad Place and that there are baddies around and has been operating under that assumption. She didn't dive too deep into the mechanical weeds and I feel like a wolf would want us to go there just so we're all confused. She seems to have her head on straight and doesn't let all the white noise distract her from the goal.

Scream: V if I squint. Without my glasses. And from 100 feet away. At this point, I can't exactly pinpoint what makes me say village over wolf.

Samac: Another V that is now on my sus list now that I've taken the time to check things. Kitz has already outed her lie about being in the same faction as Apop. And Apop is confirmed V. So Samac is at best, a meddling 3p, or at worst, a wolf. I haven't played with w!Samac, but this is normal for her? Making up bullshirt claims so she can yeeted or killed N3? And some of the things she's said has just felt...off and I can't quite explain why.

Barks: V. Yes, I am very much biased and am hoping and praying my mother is V so she doesn't get yeeted.

AM: Initially I had her as N because there were people reading her both W and V. While her actions have been villagey, I wasn't sure if this was part of her wolf range. From what I gathered, AM is a stellar villager and someone we want to keep around. Her not voting for Clem doesn't bother me a whole lot since it was obvious he was going down anyway. I'm ok with putting her V for now

Dubs: Hmmm, where to go with Dubs. I disagree with her take that D2 was wasted on Clem. Orange at least has to mean something bad right? Even if it's not outright wolf? I see her point where we could have had some more fruitful discussion if all of us just didn't park on Clem, but I don't know how we were gonna get that with a chunk of us already deadset on yeeting Clem. At the same time, it didn't feel like Dubs was trying to save a packmate and she's been known to bus packmates if the situation called for it. But then she gets on AM's case about not voting for Clem because, "what if the votes need to be unanimous?" Very slight W for now.

Genny: Still W. I haven't seen anything to change that perspective.

I’ll pay attention to about 5 minutes of their tak and at the end I’ll hit them with, “More of a comment than a question…”

*me dying at FACTOR the year I presented because I got almost ALL of the questions during my panel's Q&A session*

I'm going to blame you even though I'm 95% sure you didn't ask me any questions

HEY WAIT A MINUTE

pulls cobra back out

Not because of the read. Because of the spelling. It's Dubz :punch:

CAUSE I DONT THINK THIS IS A TRADITIONAL GAME WITH TRADITIONAL WOLVES. I THINK THATS THE BADDIES
samac

If the only difference between a traditional game and this game is that the baddies flip orange, that's just a traditional game wearing different clothes.

Do you honestly think that is what's going on here?

I'm pretty sure I didn't heckle you 🙂

Alright folks I'm getting on the road. I'm sure I'll be back with thoughts/legacy later

but @screamqueenbee and @genny Why did you vote for Zenge instead of Clem? Spurs seemed like he was just trusting the majority when he changed his vote.
Because until the flip with fruits, I did not know if there were wolves in this game legitimately, not as a bit because I read the rules and took them at face value.
And because of that I thought it was a more legitimate strategy to make sure that the most amount of people win in their individual win cons, rather than going on a wild wolf chase.
Everyone was so sure that Zenge was a jester, and then voting him out would achieve his wincon, and I thought that if we got one win point on the board, then that would boost collective morale and other people would start to help with other people’s and cons, including my own.

So was my vote for Zenge to help them achieve their perceived wincon as jester.

Sorry everyone, your wolf is in a different vessel.

NO I HAVE A DEEP TINFOIL BUT I THINK THE MODS MIGHT KILL ME IF I PUBLICLY POST IT

Well I suggest you at least stop going along with forming the whole conception of the game around interactions with Clem!

Unpairing interaction = that player is not paired with Clem? Great
Unpairing interaction = that player is village? No. Stop that.

And like if people want to try to sus out whether Clem has teammates we need to be worried about that's fine, I'm not sure his behavior supports that but it's a reasonable avenue to hunt down.

But no village bloccs should be formed based on who pushed Clem. It's simply not going to be that easy.

This was bad, for sure. I got myself twisted up in the mechanics. I’m genuinely not sure I’m loving mechanical nightmare not because any of the mods are doing a bad job, it’s great, I’m just too paranoid and I’m getting stuck in circles.

If Kitzsuna dies tonight I know who did it and I will be telling yall. Edit: I THINK I know who did it. A think is supposed to be in there. I KNOW absolutely fork all right at this moment.

I? Might be wrong about genny. Some info has come to my attention that maybe what I’m thinking is AI about her is not AI.
Can’t have a fruitful conversation without fruits :sorry:

Where's the fun if you're not on a wild Cthulhu goose chase tbh

I will keep referencing that game until the day I die, even when no one except @kaydubs understands what I'm talking about anymore

I would just like to state for the record to any killers out there that i really havent contributed much in the grand scheme of things and i don’t have anything useful from yesterdays activities

So maybe dont kill me plz and thx

But our dead are bad place demons. And they’re all village (minus Clem).
Welp, didn't know those characters are Bad Place demons.

I think there are more factions than just village and wolf. I heard some chitchat about there being humans and angels? What are the odds there's 3 factions here duking it out for the win?

My current tinfoil is that there are 3-4 factions
Bad place demons who followed Michael and wanted to ensure a fair afterlife where those being tortured were the ones who deserved it
Bad place demons like Shawn who didn't give a shirt about the rules and just wanted to fork up the afterlife
The humans
+/- The good place folks who can never get anything done

I think the Shawn follower bad place demons' win con is to kill the humans
I think the Michael follower bad place demons' have a separate win con that has nothing to do with the humans
I think the humans need to stay alive
I have no idea what the good place folks win con would be. Accomplish a single thought before the end of the game?

From what I understand of Pop and I watching like four eps,

There are demons that swap sides?
Glenn, Janet, and Michael essentially swap to help these particular humans
So it still feels like two factions BBEG Bad Place Demons vs Humans, Good Places villagers, and demons who are wishy washy in allegience

I'm curious if there's an almighty Judge Gen somewhere in this nonsense. She would probably be a foil to Shawn

Hmmm, mayhaps it would be a good idea to watch the show...

You forgot to talk about my wincon! You can read about it here!

@WildZoo you liked my tinfoil theory is that because you agree, you see the logic even if you think it's wrong, or just cause?

I think a game this size could support 3 factions. I think 4 might be a stretch. Plus I'm not sure they ever actually meet the good place folks until at least season 2.

So Jason, Tahini, Chidi, Eleanor, and we know there was a good place Janet. So four humans.
That leaves 12 players, minus our sandbag Janet that makes 11.
Methinks there might be a Mindy as well because her and the medium place was a big part of Season 1.
That leaves 10. 5 and 5? 6 and 4? 4 and 6? For the bad place demons.

I feel that getting any deeper in the weeds would be a bad idea so I'm leaving this as this for now.
