Great thanks! Has anyone heard from the financial aid dept. yet on their award letter? Also are we supposed to buy our own scrubs? If so, are they just plain navy blue?No just an acceptance letter. The goods are online via the portal.
You complete the application for Fin Aid, including FAFSA and whatnot, and you get your award letter in the middle of summer. Look for it in the online portal under Fin Aid.Great thanks! As for scrubs, you buy your own and we won't know the color until orientation.
Great thanks!
are you kidding? that's so bad. what if you have to drop after 1 year (for whatever reason.) do they refund the rest? this is bad policy.Any Canadians attending? The stupid "pay 4 years of fees up front" is a real bummer.
Oh I definitely agree, and thats why i'll probably be attending VCU. Nearly impossible to come up with 309 grand on the spot and somehow pay interest and living expenses for four years. I think this is their kind way of getting rid of international students without saying they don't accept them.are you kidding? that's so bad. what if you have to drop after 1 year (for whatever reason.) do they refund the rest? this is bad policy.
I was asked to confirm my information on the portal again...don't want to be annoying BUT did anyone else on the wait list get this prompt again?
I gave up my seat because I got into my state school which is cheaper and closer to my family. I'm super bummed because MWU-Az is an amazing school. Probably my favorite I interviewed at and I was really looking forward to it. But one of you will be very happy soon! Good luck to everyone!
Thank you! Yes! You sat in on my interview!Congrats! I think I remember you from interviews.
Has anyone on (or formerly on) the alternate list heard anything further? Or, does anyone know when we might expect movement? It looks like in past years most movement has occurred at the end of April.
Heard back today. Extremely excited and happy. Good luck to you all, just be patient, there's still plenty of time to hear back from now until August.
Thanks for letting us know, and congratulations! I received the "you're toward the top of the alternate list/we're updating our list" call today. Here's to hoping that's a good sign 🙂
Awesome!Actually, that's a really good sign because I got one last week too from Dr. Polk before he called me to let me know this week that I was accepted. I was really surprised because I didn't know they did that at all.
Grats! See you in August!I just got the call- woo!
Congrats to you who come to Midwestern U. !Heard back today. Extremely excited and happy. Good luck to you all, just be patient, there's still plenty of time to hear back from now until August.
A piece of advice to the incoming dental students who are apartment hunting: BEWARE of San Prado Apartments. PM me and I'll give you the dirty deets
PM-ed you!I was thinking of renting a room in one of those 3 complexes near the school, I would love to hear what you didn't like about Prado!
I'm curious as to why I should beware of San Prado!A piece of advice to the incoming dental students who are apartment hunting: BEWARE of San Prado Apartments. PM me and I'll give you the dirty deets
WOW! congrats!Just received the call and accepted for Class of 2018! Just in the nick of time. I was right about to reapply tonight!
Thank you! I was sweating bullets.WOW! congrats!
I've narrowed it down to Midwestern or the University of Washington. I currently live in Phoenix but I love the Seattle area as well (WA resident). I was really impressed with the entire program at Midwestern during my interview. I am particularly enthusiastic about the absence of resident specialists taking your patients away. I just don't know how I can justify the extra 150k in tuition and fees over 4 years. Any thoughts?
