Great thanks! Has anyone heard from the financial aid dept. yet on their award letter? Also are we supposed to buy our own scrubs? If so, are they just plain navy blue?
 
I tried calling and figuring out the color. After being transferred 5 times I gave up. Yes you buy your own scrubs.

You complete the application for Fin Aid, including FAFSA and whatnot, and you get your award letter in the middle of summer. Look for it in the online portal under Fin Aid.

As for scrubs, you buy your own and we won't know the color until orientation.

I am on the waiting list, but i will be withdrawing my application tomorrow. Hope someone who really wants it gets in. goodluck

Any Canadians attending? The stupid "pay 4 years of fees up front" is a real bummer.

are you kidding? that's so bad. what if you have to drop after 1 year (for whatever reason.) do they refund the rest? this is bad policy.

Oh I definitely agree, and thats why i'll probably be attending VCU. Nearly impossible to come up with 309 grand on the spot and somehow pay interest and living expenses for four years. I think this is their kind way of getting rid of international students without saying they don't accept them.

This is my 3rd time getting it... I think? Could be the fourth. Its probably an automated system. I wouldn't put much thought into it (though I hope to god I'm wrong).
 
I've been noticing on other threads that people are talking about collecting teeth. Does MWU-AZ require that we collect teeth?
 
Not really. Kind of. Don't worry about it unless you happen to have a nice source and want to bring some with you. But you're not required to bring any with you. During D1 they'll give you little containers with solution at the end of each quarter. It's still optional. But the more the better. Real teeth are just way more interesting/educational than ivorine. They're mostly for endo for D1s/D2s.
 
I gave up my seat because I got into my state school which is cheaper and closer to my family. I'm super bummed because MWU-Az is an amazing school. Probably my favorite I interviewed at and I was really looking forward to it. But one of you will be very happy soon! Good luck to everyone!

Hey Midwestern hopefuls! I just declined my acceptance (reluctantly) from Midwestern. I hope one of you gets that call very soon! Good luck!
 
Has anyone on (or formerly on) the alternate list heard anything further? Or, does anyone know when we might expect movement? It looks like in past years most movement has occurred at the end of April.

Heard back today. Extremely excited and happy. Good luck to you all, just be patient, there's still plenty of time to hear back from now until August.

Actually, that's a really good sign because I got one last week too from Dr. Polk before he called me to let me know this week that I was accepted. I was really surprised because I didn't know they did that at all.

I'm on the alternate list but haven't gotten a call regarding the "updated list/you're at the top". Has anyone been accepted off the alternate list without getting this call? I was accepted to another program but am dying to hear back from MW as it's my top choice and the other program starts before MW....

I was thinking of renting a room in one of those 3 complexes near the school, I would love to hear what you didn't like about Prado!
 
Just received the call and accepted for Class of 2018! Just in the nick of time. I was right about to reapply tonight!
 
I recieved a phone call today asking if I'm still interested. Is that a sign? *shaking with excitement*

I was really impressed with the entire program at Midwestern during my interview. I am particularly enthusiastic about the absence of resident specialists taking your patients away. I just don't know how I can justify the extra 150k in tuition and fees over 4 years. Any thoughts?
