I don't like what I feel like is a retaliatory vote for Genny

I know Genny has burned me twice for being an evil wolf, and Snowy was totally piled on and totally innocent last game, but the Snowy vote for Genny just bugs me

For some reason this stands out to me as early scapegoating, don't like it but don't have a great explanation as to why

It's D1 weak crap, but this is off....

Yeah, AM definitely was an "always feels wolfy" player when she started, but not in several games now.

I just binged it for the first time last month! Only made it through the first 4 seasons or so, it stayed good through then at least. I just had to take a break because their constant bad decisions were starting to grate on my nerves haha.

I've heard of the Delaware Phoenix. Still haven't tried absinthe yet.

They have two that get consistently high ratings from US Absintheurs, 'Meadow of Love' and 'Walton Waters'. I'd highly recommend taking a look around the Wormwood Society website as well to learn more about the proper preparation of Absinthe, and which ones rate highly, and which are more middle of the road, if you're thinking of trying it. For us it's like a once a year, twice if we're lucky kind of deal, because by the time we've converted to Australian dollars and paid postage and import duty fees, we're looking at around $130-$160 a bottle. It's worth it though because it's just so damn cool and tasty.

The average bottle runs to about 130 proof, so it's real easy to get drunk on.

Regarding Blitzen? No, I'm not positive they're village. And now that you mention it I find your possible defense of them to be somewhat troubling also, but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt at the moment seeing as I've noted your play style when village does have a tendency to be better at flushing out potential wolves. Blitzen's words just don't sound like they're coming from Blitzen alone, there's something that's coming across as a bit too 'schooled' about them.

I have no issue with your read on blitzen if you are village just because it is different than mine. Nobody's reads are perfect, so either of us could be wrong. But your vhangeing vote and reason seemed sketchy.

I am actually not sure what to think of this interaction. Going to think on it. I kind of agree with LIS that I really didn't get the feeling about blitz's posts that Ceke did... And found the one post by Ceke kind of contradicting himself to be odd, but think may just be more miscommunication than anything nefarious.

I mean, as I pointed out, I'm pretty good at reading AM village OR wolf (or rather, village vs non-villagers, and watch me have to eat these words this game). I don't expect everyone would be though. I've made votes based on people being hard to read before so I don't necessarily fault PBC for that, but I will keep an eye there because it looks like she's trying to portray her vote as having more strong reasoning than it actually does.

This sounds like Wolf Dubz. I am not 100% on this at all, but I am side eyeing her hard.

I have been connected to Cyndia twice now as village, so I feel like I am going to not notice when she comes up wolf again, and it does happen with an uncanny frequency. Thanks for reminding me not to just think of her as my old mason pal. Now I get to be all paranoid.

Reading through, I see a ton based on how people feel about the posts thus far this game in relation to the posts of other games. I am still struck that it is day one. While there is useful info here, it does seem like an awful lot is info about prior games, so it is muddying the water for me.

Meh, we always play based on reads and analysis from players in other/previous games. That is really all we have for day 1... what else would you suggest?

If someone reads your post and likes the logic in a lot and agrees with most of it, it can make people feel pretty paranoid. Wolves will obviously be able to make a good case for villagers being villager, and try to appear "helpful" to village.

If someone reads it and it doesn't make sense (like mine, I guess) that can also read wolfy because at the same time they have to try to make "compelling"arguments to lynch villagers and steer people off wolves.

I think what is helpful is to look more at any *changes* in how you know someone reasons.

You're newer, you had a bad game, now you're having a good game. I can't say the logic or tone is vastly different, but it is different. Not proof of wolf but is a change and I agree with others it is concerning.

I should clarify what I mean by saying "good game." The logic/reasoning/feelz seem "good" to me in that they make sense to me. I find myself agreeing with or nodding along with the posts. In my opinion, these things can be "good" or *feel* spot on even if in reality they are wrong. I don't know if Blitzen's observations are correct or not, but the posts themselves seemed better in some fashion compared to last game.

Excuse you. I usually only know one wolf by day 1, the savant magic takes a little while to get going. I am quite interested in your reads in particular though.

I honestly just don't have that many novel thoughts at the moment... I included thoughts on those other people mostly so there wouldn't be a "but why not X player" instead questions, which I got asked last game when I lynched somebody but didn't include reasons as to why not others.

This is only my second game, and my first one was a utter s***show. I managed, in short order to: prevent the lynch of a wolf on D1, throw suspicion on myself by starting some villager on villager verbal violence, and pushing to lynch innocent villagers two nights in a row resulting in our loss. I'm suffering from serious self-doubt about how good I am at reading people, so I'm definitely susceptible to the influence of more experienced players arguments.

Is Finn's participation level a new thing? Remember her being quieter/less proactive in posting elaborate reads, but it's been a long time since I've played.

I agree with this, but I hate calling out people for being a wolf for increased activity, because it causes them to hide behind not posting, and that's no fun. So for all intensive porpoises, I am considering her activity level as a non-factor.

The things that strikes me as really off about Crayola is the vehemence of the "I'M NOT A WOLF" denials coming from somebody who only had one vote against them. Genny's defensiveness definitely reads sketchy, but she was pushing back against leading the votes, so it doesn't read as sketchy to me as cray does.

This is a fair argument, puts Britzen a tad lower on my list

I feel like the cadence of your posts has also changed a bit -- more frequent, less verbose, and less weird (sorry if that's offensive. maybe a more appropriate descriptor would be that your posts seem more focused).

Don't doubt yourself. Sometimes fresh eyes are better than those whose opinions are more deeply entrenched. I mean, experience helps, too. But a lot of new players are way too down on themselves, imo.

I am actually kind of feeling similarly. I'm still a little on the fence about Cyndia because I feel like the number of posts has been increased from what she usually posts, and I don't want to penalize that...but the content has been somewhat lighter, and post increase can be sketch if you don't usually post at all (see: Finn right now). But I am also considering moving to someone who isn't playing as much this game.

First of all my MO is not "quiet" that's just typically the result in early game.

But regardless as much as I'd love for my WWing skills to have improved to the point of me making noticeably more contribution... it hasn't.

How about you go take another look because I have posted a total of 8 times in this game. 7 of them contributed absolutely nothing. The one post that had content didn't really offer up anything new.

I know I am going to sound like a hypocrite now, from what I just said, by because you brought it up, fluff posts, or outside posts, that people think are harmless when they are a wolf are how I catch a fair number of the wolves I catch. So, sure, maybe you haven't contributed much in terms of content, but increased activity win fluff posts can certainly be an indicator for wolfiness.
