Just putting this out there for shiggles:

My ultra uber Tin Hat Model T-5000 is that maybe staff wielder is a wolf and I keep getting pulled to seer him as village as like a hypnosis thing, and won't be able to properly seer anyone until we lynch him lol

Also adding to this just because I see no reason to hide info at this point since everyone knows my role:

- Original target before my death was Mel
- Target last 2 nights was someone different (was told my ability would maybe not work as well, didn't get results the first time so tried same target again and got same "staff wielder shows up instead" message as I did on N1)

Sorry if this a dumb question, but how does a redirector know what/who to redirect? Or do you just have to randomly guess?

Yup, I know, but given the level to which you tunneled me last game (which trust me -- I get) I figured I'd try to head that off at the pass 😉

And that is my second tinfoil hat theory, tyvm. The first, marginally less tinfoily hat idea is that I get auto-redirected off of wolves when I choose them as seer targets because I'm a lake (or was a lake) and lakes have waves.

I actually even have a third hypothesis kicking around, but it relies on:
- mods being meanies
- sharing my recent target, which is the only thing I am not sure I am ready to do

So I am less gungho on that one atm because these mods are lovely 😍

I like your second tin foil hat theory better, so I don't know what that says about me haha. It just seems odd that you automatically go to staff every time.

Mind you, I haven't read the last few pages because I'm on a lunch break and have skimmed at best. I'll work on that tonight.

I agree it is odd.

One of the reasons why I was on KC this morning, because if I'm actually getting deliberately redirected to him, I can imagine her sitting there and giggling to herself about it.

(Don't deny it, KC -- I feel like there are at least a few people who would looooove to send me in circles. You, Kara, dubz, PBC, Meats & Mel immediately come to mind as people who I think would immensely enjoy something like this).

Lack of evidence of other redirection is what makes me wonder if it is actually something about my role or the roles of the people I've been seering that is what is causing the weirdness.

Nerfing seering by giving inaccurate or otherwise occluded results could be a way to offset the power of having an affiliation seer in the game in the first place. Particularly one that receives night results upon death and rezzes with ability (somewhat) intact.

Which is why I was asking about Finn's preferences -- I'd still like to hear from others who have played her games in the past.

(ETA meats & Mel to list of people who I think would enjoy ****ing with my paranoia lol)

Oh, but what I meant to say with regards to tin foil hat theory #2 is that I believe Staff is village based on how dy was trying to push that lynch D1 & D2.

I obviously could be reading the situation wrong but I saw wolf-village in those interactions, so I'm probably going to stick with my gut on that one.

She came back an hour or so after Dy got vig'd and messaged back with her role (which she didn't have to do. its not a role that is inherently village; I don't know how to interpret) and said that she thinks I'm village (but at that point most of the thread was thinking I was less wolfy because of the Dy flip, so idk if what I said convinced her or she was just sheeping the thread)

I missed this in the excitement of yesterday.

Why would you role reveal to someone who you were suspicious of? And why were you forced to role reveal to her?

I guess I'm wondering what the timing was on this and whether you were actually in any danger or not.

@LyraGardenia thoughts on this PM exchange?

This is kind of crazy, Kara's on thread critiques of me have all been grouped with critiques on other noobs as well. I took it as she was trying to help me give better reads. You have also been agreeing with all my reads so far, which I mentioned in my reads yesterday. I whole heartedly disagree with you on griff, he seems super noob, and after we all called 3m out, he had relevant things to contribute which is why i went with a lynch on FTB... who you also thought was sketchy in previous reads.

so what i hear you saying is you aren't sure who to lynch, so you are going off someone else's recommendation, even though your gut says Sporty?

Not sure what the extra pressure will do, as I still am not getting why Kara would say "kill paws if i die" based on her thread posts alone.
I definitely don't see a griff vote, but could maybe see a Mel vote, though I was leaning dy during that craziness. You've mentored and wolfed with me so I feel like you can see i read things totally different and wrong from everyone else sometimes. Most of your suggestions as a mentor went over my head if you recall. Do you have any specific questions you want answered?

or maybe Staff has been an unseerable wolf since the beginning so they knew to redirect you on to him again and again to keep clearing him and no one else?

I trusted her just enough to reveal my role name, nothing else, and this amount of trust was based on the fact that she at the time was picking up on the same AM weirdness that I was and I thought that it wouldn't have been a good wolf move
It was 4:48 a.m. and I did it early so she had reason to believe me instead of thinking that I'm a wolf last minute scrambling.

Currently pinging my radar is paws, Lyra, Mel, and maybe sporty. I can see where you're coming from with KC but unless she was the convert I just can't see her being an original with two rezzes. DVMD has dropped off the past couple of days but that's well within her normal play so nothing that really sets me off (I think I'm just forever suspicious because she's snowed me hard as a wolf in past games and I've just accepted I can't read her for **** lol). I am also now recognizing that I thought staff and soflo were the same person and I felt like this amalgamation person was village lol.
Give me a minute to do the rest of this. I hate making reads lists so it's gonna take me a minute lol.

I recognized that most of my reasoning for voting lyra was because I'm illiterate so I pursued the other player I had suspicions about at the time. I still have a bad feeling about lyra in my gut but I can't justify it with any good reasoning at the moment and it's making me feel like I'm slipping into a tunnelling situation.

It was consistent with the formatting I was looking for. Which is not saying much, particularly given delay, but I'm breaking into playing-dirty territory and will take what I can get at this point.
