I just checked. I sent 4. 2 science, 1 MD and 1 DO. Its just one extra. Hopefully they can just toss one out if they REALLY are anal about it and not delay me :)

I ran into the same problem. I sent in 5 mistakenly. Sent them an email telling them about my mistake, requested that they use three letters of my choosing and then apologized for any inconvenience. Got an email back from them today just telling me that my application was under review. Who knows what will happen now.
 
Just received an ii this morning. Complete on 8/13. Any current student wanna share any information about this school? And I couldn't find the rotation sites for this school; are they all nearby Nevada?

II today!! Very happy since I got the secondary received email yesterday.
 
What were your guys's stats, if you don't mind me asking :D

Also, I called admissions and the lady I spoke to informed me that they didn't send out emails saying your application is complete? I'm so confused

October 6 and October 20. They have morning sessions from 7:45 to 1 and afternoon sessions from 12:45 to 6. All their interview dates are on Mondays and they only interview twice every month. They said you need to be careful before choosing dates as changing dates is difficult due to the limited number of interviews they offer per month.

Primary site for rotations is Valley Hospital, as many of the school's professors are attendings for the various residencies there. But you'll also be working out of several of the other hospitals within the city depending upon which ones your preceptor for that month works out of.
 
I see a few people are interviewing 9/29. What time are you attending? Morning or afternoon?

Ya so I called around and the only hotel from Touro's email that provides shuttle to/from airport and to/from the school is the Wingate hotel. But the price was $90 per night. Its pretty pricey given that most of the hotels/casinos in that area are $30-40 a night, but those hotels do not have shuttle service at all. And the taxi ride from airport to those tour recommended hotels are $30 one way.

what to do what to do... lol

Also think about that the resort/casino hotels often tag on a lot of extra fees. They advertise for low rates and it ends up more. Some of the casinos you have to walk through are smokey as well. I would just hate to show up to an interview smelling offensive!

I actually went ahead and booked at the Wingate for 9/28-9/29. Now comes the flight...coming from Oregon, spirit airline is the cheapest but they charge for everything...anyone know if a garment bag is considered as a free carry on item for spirit airlines?

I think they charge for anything you can't stow under your seat. Are there any Southwest flights from where you are? It's a little more but well worth it.

Unfortunately no southwest airline to Vegas. Alaska airline is almost $130 more than spirit. Sigh...I guess I just gotta get creative with packing haha
 
II this afternoon! How long did it take you guys to schedule your interview over the phone? I just called and no one answered......

It took me only a few minutes. While on the phone they sent me a confirmation email. It is a little after 12 there. They might have stepped away for lunch.

Ha! Good point, they are probably on their lunch break right now. Guess I will have to wait a bit.

Finally got the "under review" email. Submitted my secondary on 8/17 and LORs prior to that. Hoping for good news!

Quick question - When I look at the preview of my secondary application before submitting, there are these giant sections of info that is blank (family employment, high school education, etc.) but I can't seem to access these sections! Anyone else having this problem? Or do they not care about those sections for DO applicants?

Ya I remember that there was large sections that are not needed to be filled out. That's normal.

I have an interview here on Oct 6. Can anyone tell me what kind of interview questions they ask, what the schedule is like on interview day, advice, warning, etc?

Just been placed on interview wait-list...is this pretty much the same as being put on hold, or is it better? Also any thoughts on the odds after being placed on the waitlist?

Take the number of hours you've taken (at that institution), and add .0 to the end. For example, I took 63 hours at one school, so I put it in as 63.0

Make sense?

I had to try different combinations to get it to work. I have 96 credit hours so I think I did 96.0
 
Just got an II! I was complete on 8/22. I called earlier today to schedule an interview and had to leave a message. Does anyone know around how long it takes for them to call back?
 
I would just call back tomorrow. Congrats!
