Actually it's 80% of the percentage of total offers they are planning to make. The # of offers equalled the class size in about mid-November.

The reason is Michigan is super rolling, and you hear back 1-2, at most 3 weeks after your interview: acceptance, deferred decision, waitlist, or reject.

The number of people who move off of deferred decision is pretty small, and off waitlist even smaller than that.

They're almost done interviewing so they're almost done with the acceptance offers as well.

Also, if you have an interview invite but have yet to go, don't worry they reserve a good number of spots for future interviewees (hence, 20% of admissions spots left but <5% of interview offers left). But they do get back to you very quickly.

Wow, I didn't even know schools did that, haha... I'm just surprised and impressed that someone takes the time to update that sort of thing. Schools should employ this more regularly.

I'm not an idiot haha that's what I was thinking it was. I know that UM Medical School does not have an 80% admissions rate. Thanks.

Nobody said anything about an 80% admission rate

I'm gonna take silly questions for $500 Alex. What is "admission offers"

Seriously, the number of admissions offered divided by the number of available slots then multiplied by 100%

If you are wondering why the number is so high this early, remember not everyone offered an admissionwill accept.

Ha. You're condescending and you're wrong.

It's the number of admissions offered divided by the number they are planning to make (which is significantly higher than the number of available seats to account for those that don't accept) multiplied by 100%.
