I don't think that's discouraged in general but my interviewer gave me her email address and said to email her with any questions or comments, so I think it's okay to contact them esp if they gave you their contact info. Who did you have?

I just sent in my supplemental. I went there for undergrad so hopefully that will help me! It was a great school and I'd love to go back. Did thy say how long it will take to get an answer after the interview?
 
They said that we should have a decision within 3 weeks post-interview. Obviously this can include being waitlisted.

I interviewed 9/11...hoping to hear back from them in the next week or so. Feel free to ask any questions about the interview process.
 
So I have an interviewiew on 10/1. I'm pretty stoked! any one else interviewing on this date?! 😎

Any acceptances out there yet? I interviewed on Friday and I am already getting impatient. GL everyone. The interview was so relaxed and a really nice experience. They asked me the typical questions, why DO, who do you know that went here, and specifics about my application. Everyone, including tour guides, were excellent.
 
I think I'm going to have to move my interview 🙁

I'm waaay too sick to travel cross country. I got sick on the flights to my Western interview on Monday

MCAT validity question.....................................

This has been confusing the crap out of me and I could NOT find an answer anywhere. And yes, I emailed admissions but they haven't gotten back to me.

UNECOM says the MCAT is valid within 2 years of application. I took my MCAT on 8/13/2010. AKA....it's 2 years, 1 month, and 14 days old.

Technically that is not within 2 years, as I am about to send in my primary app.

Will they still accept my MCAT for this application cycle?????

Just call and ask. They were very nice when I spoke with them.
 
Turn around time from interview to decision was really fast last year, according to SDN posts (1-1.5 weeks after interview). I interviewed on 9/21 and hope to hear back soon! fingers crossed 🙂
 
So I pretty much fell for UNE today! If they accept me I might have a pretty tough choice to make between AZCOM and UNE

The student ambassador didn't know. From what I was told they meet twice a month and the meeting for September was 'hinted' at us to be soon, but maybe I totally misunderstood the comment lol

Yeah UNE was awesome I honestly didn't think I would like it as much as I did. I really feel like UNE and I really 'click' more so than any other school I've been to.

has anyone called the school to ask if the 3.4 min gpa cutoff is true?
 
Ideas? I have been complete for three weeks and this is one of my TOP choice schools! I have not heard a word (probably due to my lateness and/or MCAT). I am OOS and want to show my interest. I have no real updates as of yet so how can I show the ADCOM I am interested? Besides visiting campus that is.

I hope my interview went well! I don't feel super terrible about it, like I did for AZCOM but I still got accepted there haha.

Don't be nervous! It was super laid back and it hardly even felt like an interview!

Accepted! Just got the email this morning! Interview on 9/19 and absolutely loved the school!!! My only other acceptance so far this cycle is MSUCOM and that OOS price tag is ridiculous so I am very relieved to have this one in my pocket as well! Good luck everyone!!
 
Just received acceptance email today, interviewed 9/11.

One thing I can think of....find an alumn to write a LOR for you. They seemed really interested in "who you know".
 
Accepted. Interviewed 9/11. Holding my spot here until I hear from my state allo's but pretty sure I'll end up here. Very happy about that.

I agree with the OOS and MSUCOM price tag, it's borderline not worth it IMO. I'm relieved to have this acceptance because I really liked the school and would not mind in the least bit if this is where I ended up, but just having one gives the confidence for future interviews.

Not sure, I interviewed on 9/21 and haven't seen anyone from that date with an acceptance yet. I hope not 🙁:xf:
 
Random family crisis popped up, be there 11/2 now. =/
 
Accepted email early this morning! Interviewed 9/12. I'm from Pennsylvania.
 
Accepted!

Interviewed on 9/14 and got the email yesterday, so they took 2 weeks to decide/notify me.
I'm a VA resident, currently in Boston, MA., GPA 3.5, MCAT 27.

GL everyone with upcoming interviews!

hmmm, I will look at their website for any alumni directories. I am not from the area unfortunately. But I will do whatever it takes to get considered :xf:
 
I did my undergrad at une and am hoping to go to medical school there as well so if you guys had any questions about the area, I'd be happy to answer!

How are the jobs (for significant others) in the area? I know Portland is a pretty big town and close by. Also do you feel that Maine is undeserved medically? Thanks 🙂
 
For those accepted, do you happen to be at the beginning of the alphabet? A different school sent out the first half one day and then the rest the following, so I was curious. Thanks!
 
I think the job opportunities are fairly good as long as you wouldn't mid the commute. I never had a problem working but the drive from Portland to UNE is almost half an hour because UNE is about ten miles from the highway. As far as Maine being an underserved population, I would definitely say it is once you leave the Biddeford and Portland area. I have worked with hospitals and doctors in the area and they all have great things to say about une students but the rest of Maine is very rural.
