When I was "missing" last game (thank you cubs lol), I wasn't allowed to post, or like things, or anything. No game related PMs, even in wolf chat, etc. Then again, I was technically dead. Also, when people voted for me when I was "missing" my vote showed up in italics. Notably, Mutts' vote is not in italics. But, this game isn't that game sooooo...

It could also be as simple as a verrry strict post restriction.

Also, I think mechanics discussion is something good for this game, Pippy LITERALLY said there would be decoding in the sign-ups. I'm going to take Mels's irritation as NAI since I know Mel and AM aren't crazy about that discussion on thread, but this post below is why I signed up for this game.

For anyone on the fence after I said "participation" or "mechanics"...

This is a mechanics-heavy game due to the theme but I hope it will be fun for everyone! To counteract the amount of mechanics, I'll do my best to provide players with enough information to decode what is going on.

so if you don't like that vetmedhead didn't vote even though she was active, why did you want me to only discuss my potato with her? she is the only PM partner you could assume I would have been able to discuss it with on my own (without MsPro opening one which you could not assume had or hadn't happened)

You're putting words in my mouth. I didn't say Meats was sketchy or that I didn't like that she didn't vote.
I'm asking you to look at the whole picture. 4 "treasures" were given out. This is different than a mayor vote. Wolves would have benefitted from putting one person forward to at least try to nab a treasure. Yes mayors are sometimes looked into early game but with 4 "mayors" there's no indication that all 4 of them would be looked into the first few nights. The fact that there were no votes moved around tells me that the wolves were okay with how things shook out.

and that makes me nervous.

Alright everyone knows I hate the day 1 thing, but trying to get better and not just do a joke vote/RNG vote. Grebes and mpm seemed a little chatty to me early but honestly havent played enough to know if this is unusual for grebes, and mpm hasnt seemed unusual in PMs. No one has really stood out yet, I was thinking Mel seems a little short on all the mechanics talk but Paws just said thats NAI for him.

I'm going to lynch stagg as hes been a little antagonistic/fluffy posting, but again D1 could be something could be nothing, but wanted to try to make a vote based on something other than nothing. I have a drug rep dinner at 630 so wanted to get this on the board just in case, as those things can run way over sometimes (also count me in for some gold, pips!). I should have time to catch up on thread though and reassess if anything else jumps out cause i think theres a late close tonight.

Can someone please clarify: is it generally frowned upon to talk about mechanics in any game? Why do people get annoyed when it happens? Isn't the point of a game to figure out the mechanics so you can solve it? Or is right now just too early to discuss it and that's why it's annoying? Idk if "annoying" is the right word to describe it, I'm just going off of Mel's reaction.
