When was that? If it was right after Lawpy subbed in, I wouldn't be surprised if Mel thought it was safe to push there after most people said to give him at least another cycle to be analyzed. But I don't remember the context
Yes, it was right after his sub, but before I even moved off.
@Animal Midwife would like your PM lawpy thoughts if any convo was had last night.
I did not PM him.

Hmm

I think between Lawpy not being able to perform night actions last night from Cubs's ability and whoever Cray blocked is probably where our wolf is

I really think Lawpy's a miss though, personally. I can see playing with MsP that way, but it's still so suicidal especially as w/w after he attempts to fix the slot.

Sorry, I don't think I posted the VCA tracker last night, so here it is:

Got a busy day today so won't be around much until this evening.

Day 4

The Nora were often seen as a primitive people compared to the other tribes. The Carja had their military prowess, the Oseram their technological advances, the Banuk their machine magic. But the Nora were strong-willed and loyal above all else. Aloy may once have been an outcast, but she had become one of them, the best of them, and they would have their revenge.

Sona collected Aloy's spear from where it had fallen in the valley and led the war party on the trail of the Eclipse. They weren't hard to track - the Deathbringer trundled ahead and the Braves followed at a safe distance. They did not know what awaited them at the Eclipse camp, men or machines or both. Sona considered this and a grim smile etched across her features. They would take on whatever the enemy threw at them.

The Braves took cover behind boulders and bushes as they approached the Eclipse camp. As expected, it was guarded by Shadow Carja soldiers and corrupted machines. Some were familiar - Watchers and Sawtooths, nothing they hadn't seen before, but glowing red with corruption. Among them stood machines that, like the Deathbringer, resembled no fauna. The corrupting signals emanated from them. They would need to be taken out first.

There were too many enemies for the war party to take them on head first. Fortunately, they were familiar with the art of stealth - it was where they thrived. They surrounded the camp and individually took out the human enemies first. Sona noticed a herd of Broadheads nearby that had not been corrupted. She could work with this.

A few moments later, the now-overridden Broadheads crashed into the camp, drawing the fire of the corrupted machines. The Braves took the opportunity to target the Corruptors with fire arrows, one by one overheating their heat cores. The machines fell, taking with them a fair few of the war party, but Sona and her remaining Braves pushed forward.

When the dust settled, the glowing core at the center of the camp was left exposed. Aloy had been the chosen one, and alone none could take her place. But with enough of them together, the Nora Braves had the strength to purge the AI from the computer core it had inhabited for so long. They each placed a hand on Aloy's spear, and felt an electric energy pass through them as they stabbed into the core.

Dead is @Melchizedek, who was HADES, an AI bent on the destruction of the world, and a wolf who could attempt to control some players' actions, and additionally had gained some extra death resistance with the death of Helis.

The Great Corrupter, the Buried Shadow, was gone. What few remained of its Shadow Carja worshippers were retreating with their tails between their legs. So why did the Nora still feel uneasy?

That makes zero sense regardless of affiliation. Also why would i target cubs when i already saw what happened from Cray acting on cubs?
No one knows if their own character is a machine without Cubs's ability, and you didn't seem fully caught up on the thread yet

None of us know if we're machines or not, could be a risk worth taking in some people's minds I guess

Edit: well, Cray (and now you) know about being machines at this point

I'm just trying to understand the rational of acting on cubs, without attempting to kill him, when Cray plainly stated a full cycle earlier what it did. Like that's just game-losing wolf play, especially when neither slot was clear to begin with.

Mistakes can be made especially by a sub that might not be caught up or may have had it slip their mind when trying to absorb so much new info

If that's actually what happened, I'll be disappointed. I can't rule it out, but I didn't think wolves were paying that little attention to the mechanics.

Yes which basically supports my point. There's a direct negative risk of targeting cubs and it makes no sense to do so regardless of affiliation. And since you're arguing this is suggestive of wolfiness, i'll say it even makes less sense to do that as a wolf since it unnecessarily handicaps the pack.

Also i've been following the game even in tot chat, and was spending much of the time reading that thread. But thanks for thinking i haven't caught up and acted on incomplete knowledge

You said yourself when you entered the thread that you had catching up to do, I didn't assume

I hinted at my thinking last night. If all mechanical claims from myself, Cubs, Lawpy, TME, were true, than it left Shorty and AM unaccounted for. We have the vig too.

Shorty had VCA going for her. AM did not.

As I said, I didn't want to rely only on mechanics, but also being more sure of AM doesn't hurt either. So she was my choice.
