Hey guys! I emailed admissions last week about some missing stuff for my application, I was told that they started looking at applications last week! Hopefully interview invites won't be too far off! I was told to expect to hear something during the first few weeks of december. Also, invites/acceptances come by email, but rejections come by snail mail (at least, that's what I was told by last year's applicants). good luck everyone!

I'm applying for that too! My understanding is that they should be sent out at the same time as the regular notifications. Sometime in the next few weeks hopefully!

I'm a first year at USU (awesome program so far!!!). And everything USU does is through WSU. If you are not a UT resident, you will receive your notification from WSU and would interview up in Pullman (only UT residents interview in Logan). Then if/when you get accepted you will get your notification through WSU. I got my acceptance to USU a few days after a few of my friends got acceptances to WSU but like I said, the acceptance still came from WSU. Unless you are a UT resident you won't hear from USU until you get accepted. The rest comes from WSU and is all roughly at the same time. Good luck! I'm so excited to see 30 new faces around here next year!

I'm glad you're enjoying the program! I know a few people in the class and everything they've had to say about it has been good. It's exciting that it's going so well! Hopefully I'll be able to join you guys next year

weird... I just checked mine and there isn't a section for transcripts. just VMCAS, supp. and GRE scores.

Hi Busybee, I have the same thing on my page. I think they might be updating it for everyone, but they are just doing it a little by little. I know I didn't have it yestersay, because I looked when you posted this : }

My understanding is that the only people who can get in without an interview are the WICHE students. So if you were offered admission this early I believe you should have gotten the WICHE funding. Last year the OOS applicant interviews were held after the IS (in January) and admissions decisions rolled out around Feb 1. I would contact Barbara Hodson to be sure though.

I'm pretty sure it just means that they wanted to offer you a spot regardless if you receive WICHE funding or not. If in January, you do become sponsored, you're nonsponsored, non-resident offer converts to a WICHE offer. That's how the other schools do it anyways.

Thanks! 😀 I wasn't sure since their website says Jan/Feb for WICHE acceptances and the email made no mention at all.

That said, I have an exam in 3 hours and this is totally not helping my motivation to study...

Did anyone else have that? I am interested because I didn't mark that I was interested in the Utah campus 2+2 campus. I just marked the WSU Pullman location one.

That's actually what I thought would happen for WICHE applicants and I think that's how it was last year, too. Did you receive an email from admissions? Mine didn't give any options or talk about WICHE or interviews, which I thought was a little strange.😕 Guess I'll have to give them a call next week and sort things out.

I received the same -- YAY! I think that just means it's the committee that reviews in-state and the few other non-WICHE contract programs. I was starting to feel a little worried about the lack of love from my in-state school!

Yes. That is how I knew that WSU was sending out invitations.

Anybody ever heard of WSU sending early acceptances w/o an interview? In my couple years of experience with the WSU application process, I have never heard of this, but I recently was told that someone I know has already been offered a spot at WSU.

I received an email notification and a letter in the mail around the same time a few days ago. I go an early admissions offer for an out of area, non-resident spot... that may be converted to a WICHE-supported seat if I get the funding (from AZ). The letter said that this is the first year that are sending out early admission offers to out of area applicants.

So I have been upset for a couple days, not having a letter in my box. On a whim, I went to clear out my junk email box and low and behold.

"Congratulations! The Washington-Idaho-Utah Regional Program in Veterinary Medicine Admissions Committee is happy to officially offer you an out-of-area, nonresident position in the Class of 2017 – to matriculate in the fall of 2013."

I am a WICHE hopeful so I'm not really sure what this means for me. I'm going to call the school today and try to find out if I'm still in the running for WICHE. But check your spam filters everyone!! Every single other email from them came through and of COURSE my acceptance was filtered out.

Also not sure if this takes me out of the running for admission into WSU non regional program.

My portal does not reflect the decision of admission. It just says my application is "complete and under review".
