Hey everyone, long-time lurker and first time poster. Any help is appreciated! I'm also waiting to hear back from LECOM-Erie (assuming waitlist but I would most likely attend if accepted due to tuition). I was happy to hear about my two acceptances from these programs but I would like some feedback just to reinforce my decision.

I live in Arizona and am finishing undergrad, single, so either way I'm going to end up going out of state for school and that comes down to my personal decision along with some help from my family.

I really enjoyed my time at both of these schools while I interviewed but realize there are some major differences.

WVSOM
- rural, mountainous area (I'm super into outdoors/skiing so more favorable climate)
- Somewhat high tuition ~52K first year, 50K years 2-4
- Established school (public)
- Statewide campus system/fairly good rotations
- Far from home/family (but not huge deal)
- Primary care oriented (looking into IM and cardio down the road, is this feasible?)

BCOM
- Much closer to home
- Bigger city, 40 min from El Paso
- Very new school, private/for-profit
- Tuition ~50K so similar
- Rotations in development but still questionable?

Right now I'm leaning towards WVSOM but I'd really like to hear some feedback and if I'll be in good shape attending this school for what I want to do (really would like to know more about rotation quality). Thank you!

I'd say WVSOM because its produced quite a few DOs and has solid rotations, based on what I've heard at least.

Thank you both. Any current WVSOM students online care to share your experiences? 🙂 I'd love some input!!
