Anyone accepted with a 497 MCAT? I just submitted my secondary but I’m worried my MCAT is too low.

Current OMS-1 here! 👋🏻 Happy to answer any questions about the application/interview process or speak on my experiences with the new curriculum. Best of luck everyone!

I agree, I was accepted and am curious what students partners do for work given it’s such a small town? Thanks!
I have several friends who are engaged/married and live with their partners in town, and usually the partners have jobs that allow them to work remotely (i.e. software engineering, accounting). I also have friends who are doing long-distance with their partners, if their partner has a job that requires them to be physically present at work or if their partners are also still in school. The reality is, Lewisburg is a pretty small town (albeit a cute and friendly place to live) with not a huge variety of job opportunities. If you’re considering moving here with your partner, definitely start considering if your partner’s job is one that allows for flexibility to work remotely, or, if navigating a long-distance situation for a certain amount of time is one that you’re comfortable with, if your individual careers is a priority for both of you. Of course it’s always possible to find a job in town, I think I spoke to a student whose fiancé actually landed a job at WVSOM. It’ll just a require a little more research and digging! Please feel free to message me if you have any other questions!

I've heard this school accepts a larger than normal amount of in-state applicants, making it hard for OOS applicants to get accepted. Does anyone know if this is true or not?
During one of their Q&A sessions, I believe that they actually said most of their class are OOS.

for anyone that has interviewed here already how was it? do you have any info/advice on what to expect? I am nervous and really love this school from what I have heard and researched thus far

Great interview, was more like a conversation and interviewers were interested in who you are as a person.

I'm OOS and submitted my secondary on 7/16 and I haven't heard anything 😶... I don't have strong state ties so I am wondering if I'll ever hear back atp

I'm OOS too and submitted my secondary on 7/8 and received an interview invite on 9/18. Not sure if that helps but wanted to give you a timeline.

I received my acceptance today (Nov 6)! They called me, and then soon after I received the email.
My interview was Nov 4. They review applications on Tuesday's and present them to the dean on Wednesday's and usually call you that same Wednesday.

Hi, what is the curriculum style like, i know it is problem-based learning approach and has integrated learning system, but what does that mean and has it like helped

Is anyone else having issues/disconnect with the admissions office?
I sent all required documentation 3 months ago, only to be informed this morning that the "required documentation" I have already sent, needs to be sent. The application has been "under review".

can any current students speak more on the new curriculum? i am only worried because it is graded and everyone says pick a P/F over graded so just wanted to learn more about it

Does application stay in under review status when waiting for interview. was wondering whether it should move to complete. It is under review since nov 1st.so wondering what is going on.

It will only update if you get an interview invite
