After the first deposit is there anything we have to do?
I was wondering the same thing haha. Maybe they will send an email to all of us shortly

is it too late to apply here?
If you have a strong application, it isn’t too late. I applied here last year at the very end of January, got my secondary in within two weeks, got an interview invite for early March, got waitlisted. Absolutely loved the school, so I sent a letter of intent and eventually got accepted. As long as the deadline hasn’t passed for a school and your application is as strong as it can be, go ahead and apply!

Are there any current students here that are veterans? I have a question about the GI bill here

anyone know of any places in or near lewisberg that has single person apartments for rent? literally so hard to find

I logged in to my portal to see the status of my application and it said “we don’t have any active applications on file for you.” Is this an R?

Can anyone give insight on how to find an apartment nearby? There’s not much posted on the accepted group and even less online.
Damn this makes me worried, I’m on a bunch of waitlists and am concerned about finding housing. Ideally I want to avoid roommates.

West Virginia Property Management has an apartment complex with one and two bedroom places fairly close to WVSOM. It’s called woodland acres. I would reach out to them to see if they know if they’ll any availability coming up. Also reach out to Ream properties. Not sure if they have one bedrooms, but they own a lot down there.

I think most landlords aren’t checking with tenants until after the new year about if they’re staying, and based upon last year, a lot of places were posted on the Facebook group between January-end of March.

When I interviewed, a student told me to make sure I go to accepted students day (if accepted), because that’s how she got her apartment (a second year asked her if she wanted to take over her lease and she was able to go view the apartment).

I know there were plenty of studio and one bedroom apartments available in like May and June, and even if some places don’t have anything, keep reaching out because a place may become available as people get off waitlists or get accepted to different schools (especially April-June).

Oh, and Patricia Long is a realtor down there but she knows of apartments and may be able to help you find something!

Hope this helps!

How long does it usually takes to hear back from wvsom about II?

If you interview on a Monday typically a few days later. If you interview on a Friday, then the following Wednesday or Thursday it seems
That’s great to know. Thank you. How long after submitting your secondary app did you hear back about interview invite. I submitted in December and haven’t heard anything since

I was complete in July and received my interview invite in November I believe and interviewed on Jan 9.

II today, does anyone know if the class is full? Or if they are still accepting students? Also, if anyone did in person interview, how was it?

I interviewed in person and it was very nice. Liked that we started the day with the interview, got to meet fellow applicants and enjoyed seeing the campus in person.

What is your impression of the campus?

That it’s beautiful and exclusively for medical students. I liked the gym, anatomy lab, sim lab everything looked clean and nice. Overall good vibes 😎
Thank you for sharing! I'm an incoming student here but I haven't had the chance to visit the campus yet.

Nice

Are there any more interview spots or seats open? I just submitted my secondary yesterday...
Fyi I am a low stat applicant

I emailed the admissions office this past Friday and they told me that they will be interviewing through the month of March, so yes there are interview spots open

Hey everyone, I was hoping to get some feedback from current WVSOM students or those familiar with the program regarding rotations during years 3 and 4. Is there a primary hospital or central location where students complete most of their rotations, or do students tend to rotate at various hospitals and clinics across the state? Any details on what the rotation experience is like would be greatly appreciated!
